29th March 2025. An all round small gem of an establishment, The perfect size portions for us. My wife had the Chicken Supreme with all the perfect trimmings. While I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi with all the perfect trimmings in a Tomato Ragu sauce, which I added some Sourdough bread and olive oil to help clean up the plate🤪. For dessert she had a scoop of Caramel Fudge Ice Cream, while I had the Dark Chocolate Truffle Torte and Raspberry Coulis. The price was nothing to cry about = £58-00 for good quality food and service.

Visiting from South Lanarkshire, booked this on-line. When we drove past, we thought erm, it's doesn't look great.BUT, step inside and find the most AMAZING boutique restaurant with an open kitchen. Chef demonstrating his expertise with coping with a full house, sent us a wee starter because of the wait. The food was WORTH waiting for. Beautifully presented, amazing tastes, attention to detail. Steak 🥩 is the best I've ever had, presented with toasted garlic, beefsteak tomato, mushroom. Sauces for steak are freshly made with cream. Wonderful menu, with specials which ran out very quickly. If you are visiting Aviemore, highly recommend you book into this week place. It's privately owned restaurant, 5 or so miles drive from Aviemore. You won't be disappointed. Pay cash to support this local business (saving on card fees) and remember to tip your waiting staff. Everyone worked so hard, attentive, and food was fabulous! Highly recommend 🎉 Thank you Team Andersons 🎉

We went to Lochgreen recently for a special family meal at night. I was really looking forward to it, as we hadn’t been before. The Taxi driver mentioned it was really busy on the way- a wedding on, but we got a nice welcome from reception when we arrived. The decor was quite a wow, and white linen tablecloths a nice touch, though a table with comfier seats near the window would have been nice if offered . The loud saxophone background musak was also a bit jarring. Waiting staff were nice and attentive however And the food and drink initially came quickly. It’s expensive and so there’s quite a big expectation. But the food though tasty was just lukewarm and we had to send our main course back to be heated up. My partners food came back with a ladle full of an unasked for sauce. And it all took a time . We were offered our coffees for free but I don’t think it made up for it or we’d go back. Toilets were nice but a wedding guest was changing a nappy on the toilet floor as she said there was nowhere else. So positives but a few negatives too

Have been to the Kirklands Hotel many times for lunch and the food has been good and good value. I have had the mussels in the past and they have been the tastest I have had . Was there today for lunch and was disappointed with the mussels they were not worth the money they were nothing like what I have had previously. Very disappointing.

A real find if you are looking for tasty food . Menu was varied and the special board added even more choices . The food was delicious and the portions were large. The service was excellent Very reasonably priced . A hidden gem . We will definitely return
