Great little find, tucked away, but if you're on the A837 this is a great stop-off for a toilet break and a cuppa and cake. Embrace the quirk and go with the flow. Recommended.

Good food , well served in a pleasant atmosphere

We visited here today and we’re so glad we did! Our server was great and made us all laugh (young lad, decent crack and wore and earphone) would come back just for him! Food was great too. 10/10 recommend. Food, a drink from the bar or just a coffee :)

Drink prices are absolutely fair. Fish and chips were also good but not a huge highlight. The price is also good. Overall a good one. A little more friendliness towards the guests would be very helpful. But overall everything was okay.

Don't miss this little gem of a place, beautiful food and at the most reasonable prices we have found on our highland adventure. Plus the banter from Conner doesn't cost any extra!

Lovely remote tea and coffee bar as well as beer etc. Even in winter, it was open - we were pleasantly surprised. The coffee was tasty and well-priced.

Enjoyed a much needed lunch here during a bike ride around Strath Oykel. Thank goodness it was open as there's precious few places that are, it seems (for mid October). We had cheese & veg nachos and haggis & cheese nachos which were delicious and just the fuel we needed. Good coffee too. Cosy with the fire on.

Worst café on the 500 over priced poor produce, keep going two nice hotels near by the Achness and the Oykle hotels.

We stopped in while exploring the surrounding areas of Lairg. As we were driving, my boyfriend pointed out this little tea room. I actually turned about on the road as I drove past it, and I'm so glad we did! Extremely adorable inside, very clean, and all in a lovely little spot. Really wished I had taken more photos! We had Tuna mayo ciabattas, he had chips, and I tried the loaded chips. Our lunch was very tasty, and you could tell effort and care was put in to it. Very pleasant service from the staff. Even left with a slice of cake after debating whether or not to have one, the man behind the counter easily persuaded me =) Lovely experience, great food, do not drive past this little gem!!!

Great food - lots of choice. Proper china for Earl Grey tea ☺️. Cakes looked good. VERY dog friendly - allowed inside on short lead - water provided Pleasant efficient service. Lovely location. Would visit again.

Great coffee and the most delicious chicken and bacon ciabatta sandwich. Dog friendly as well. We'll worth the stop.

This was a very welcome sight after a walk through Rosehall Forest. The decaf coffee was really good, and the scone we had was tasty. There's a nice outdoor seating area for when the weather is good.

Kaffee sehr gut 👍 Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit! Leider ist das Restaurant nicht sauber gewesen :( der Mitarbeiter hätte sicherlich in der ganzen Zeit die er am smartphone verbracht hat auch mal den Lappen und Besen in die Hand nehmen können ;-)

Stopped in for lunch and the chef was kind enough to do a full breakfast for us even though it was about midday! Food was great and the place itself is really lovely. Massive tea selection too if that's your thing!

Strawberry tart was delicious and so light, going well with my earl grey. I had to try a bit before I took the photo! 😋 Service and staff was excellent.

Superb food, way better than lairg

This us a great cafe/restaurant/bar in Rosehall. We stopped for lunch when we were on a bike ride. They have a good choice of food for lunch. We opted for chicken in a bun nd venison burger. Both came with a solid portion of chips, coleslaw and salad. Both were excellent and super tasty, and decent portions. The prices were really reasonable. If you want high quality, tasty food, then I would recommend a stop here.

If you're visiting the Falls of Shin, or just in the Lairg area of the Scottish Highlands, you'd be mad to miss out on the awesome Invercassley Tea Room. It's a tiny tea room/restaurant/bar/village store, literally in the middle of nowhere. I visited with my family in May 2023, as we were passing and were looking for a bit of lunch. First off it's dog-friendly, which is a plus point. The menu was a total surprise: nachos with optional haggis and black pudding, locally-sourced venison burgers, lasagne and several other items. The food took a while to come, which is always a good sign, as it means it's all freshly cooked to order. When it arrived, it completely exceeded our expectations! Lovely! Even the coffee was great. The staff were really friendly and the service was great. They even offered a bowl of water for our dog. All in all, a great experience. A must if you're passing, and worth finding if you're anywhere near Lairg.

Great place and very accomodating!! We were a family of 11 and accomodated us so well for us booking it quite last minute! Great portion sizes and prices! The name 'tearoom' doesnt do it justice as it's 110% bistro. Thanks

This place is just the perfect stop for a quick lunch! Welcoming from the moment of arrival, great menu with local produce. It was quiet on the day I chose to come but I'm sure it will be busy during the height of the tourism season. If you like a quaint tea room with lots to offer, this is the place for you. Approximately 24 teas to choose from, fresh scones, and much more. The mac and cheese was a perfectly sized portion, with a beautiful stringy cheese pull, chips that are cooked to perfection and a small portion of coleslaw. A small gift shop is within with lots of goodies to collect on your travels, like local honey from Rosehall, plush toys for kids, and many other items. Definitely plan on returning!

My friends recently arranged an 18th meal for our son’s birthday, what can i say other than thank you for such a beautiful gesture with birthday balloons and fantastic food and service Such lovely people, when we next visit Lairg we will be popping back in and showing our appreciation.

Stopped here for coffee yesterday and dinner tonight. Cappuccino yesterday was great. Dinner menu simple yet well done. Atmosphere was great with a good mix of locals and visitors. Would definitely eat / drink here again. Not easy to find on maps but be persistent.

What a super local place to eat, lovely atmosphere, extremely warm and friendly staff, and superb food, very well presented, excellent quality and value for money. Extremely enjoyable experience, will definitely make a point of returning again very soon.

Stopped here for fish and chips which were excellent so went back the next day for dinner as they now open at night The 2 young men are very friendly and clearly want to deliver good food and service Definitely worth visiting it is licenced as well so nice fir a meal and drink

We stopped on the off chance it might be open for cake & a drink. Ended up having a full meal as it looked so delicious and it was. Excellent service and very fair pricing vs places on the NC500 route. They are going to trial opening later in the week as well as in weekends. Only place to get a decent meal round here!

Lovely to find this place out in the middle of nowhere. Got chatting to the owner & he was great fun lovely Guy. The food was excellent & loads of choice. Great stop for Bikers & Cyclists coffee & snacks or larger meals. Recomended

This was a brilliant place. Had the fish and chips, fish was out of this world. Just a lovely layer of batter. Will certainly call in again, and recommend to anyone.

What a find! The fish for the fish and chips was one of the freshest fish I have ever eaten (and living in the North of Scotland I am not lacking good spots to get some amazing fish and chips!). My husband had a chicken burger than was also very good. If you top it up with reasonable prices, good coffee and incredibly friendly staff not sure what more you can ask for!! Will definitely be back again

Having worked up a thirst at the Falls of Shin watching the salmon leaping and a walk through the woods, we took a well needed break at this local tea room. And WOW what a find! Delicious coffee, excellent food. Well cooked and beautifully presented. A warm homely atmosphere with polite and helpful staff and honest prices. I can whole heartedly say that we will be returning on next visit to the highlands. Thank you.

Charming tea room with excellent scones (the non crumbly kind and freshly baked!) and great quality teas. We had to exercise a superhuman amount of willpower to prevent ourselves from getting another helping of scones. Lovely local Scottish atmosphere that you want from little towns and stops like these.

We stopped off here on the way home from the NC500. It’s a great find, friendly people and great food - we will certainly return.

What a lovely surprise finding this wee cafe it's absolutely amazing coffee brilliant and home made scones what more could you ask for also has a wee gift shop and has beautiful things to purchase will definitely visit this wee place again on a wee tour. Staff are lovely friendly very clean and covid safety measures are in place 💕💞✋✋✋✋✋

What a find! After a week of some poor food, service and value for money while on holiday in Assynt we stopped at this tea room on the way home. I can't recommend it highly enough! Very friendly service, great food and excellent value for money.

I met a friend and her sister here for coffee and cake in December 2019. Both my friend and sister had a different cake to me, and they were nice big portions. Unfortunately mine was not, it was the smallest slice I have ever seen. I did not say anything because I did not want to make a scene in front of my friend. The coffee is vastly overpriced too at nearly £3 a cup.

Lovely friendly cafe. Warm welcome, a roaring log fire perfect for stopping after a winter walk. Great coffee, lovely fresh lunch options and homemade cakes. Small selection of gift ideas and groceries perfect for supplies if touring the area. What more could you want? Just a short walk from the spectacular Cassley Waterfalls
