Had an amazing brunch at this place which is enroute to Skyee from Beauly. Extremely courteous and passionate people about what they do. Food and service was top notch

Super friendly staff, made us feel so welcome and we wished we could have stayed longer but we had to get back to our hotel. Such a lovely lady that chatted with us as we were leaving too.

Nice picturesque place our group stopped at with nice staff (including their dog Bessie who loves to play fetch) with attached gift shop that had truly Scottish gifts and nice little art sales gallery upstairs

Said it’s open, but when we turned back they said they were closed till 5:30

The dishes are very good, the staff are very polite and pleasant, and the setting is calm and warm. During our 3-day stay in Lochcarron, we went to eat there twice because we enjoyed it so much. Please note: in the evening, you must have placed your order before 7 p.m. (except for desserts)

I had a fantastic experience at Carron restaurant. The food was delicious, namely the Venison Haggis pie, the Hunter’s chicken and the Highland Tea. The waiter was not only friendly but also gave great recommendations that made the meal even better. The chef’s personal touch and warm interaction added to the overall charm. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be returning!

Wonderful diner/restaurant to eat. THE BEST Fish and Chips of our 7 day trek. My wife had the cajun chicken and it was SOOO good as well. Our phones weren't working and we were able to go right in to order. Thank you!

Food was fine, we tried falafel and Veg Kebab, both tasted good but portion was small especially of Hummus. Was served in a small ketchup bowl.

We popped in early one evening on our way home .The menu has many many options hard to see how it can possibly be fresh. I had the burger it was boiled burger on a cheap bun. My son had fish cakes that were thin and overcooked he couldn't eat them. Worst food I have ever come upon.

The cuisine is delicious. The plates are well stocked and the server is attentive. If you pass by I highly recommend it.

We initially passed this place, but turned around and came back. Glad we did! Family run, home cooked food with service you would not get anywhere else. I definately recomend the sticky toffee pudding!! We had a very nice chat with whom I think was 'Clare' the owner and she allowed the kids to play with her beautiful dog 'Tess'! The place had such a good atmosphere that we felt at home... we may even steal some of their interior decoration ideas! 🙂 The kids missed the place when we left, so much so that we have promised to return again next year. We loved this place and so will you... dont pass it by!

Didn't skip it. We gather it's a stop for bus tours, but we landed at an odd hour and the folks are genuine, love to visit, and make truly good food. And the best shortbread in Scotland - maybe really.

Just had an amazing meal in the Carron restaurant. Chanced that they'd have room for two adults, one 7yr old and two dogs. We were in luck, the dog friendly table was free and we got one of the best meals we've had this holiday. Owners are absolutely lovely and were brilliant with our daughter. We've been driving passed here for years, but there's no chance of passing without stopping for a meal again.

Cozy local restaurant with friendly and helpful owners! We also received an explanation about the different whiskeys and bought a nice special bottle! True traditional Scottish friendliness! Bye!

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and loved it. Great food, reasonably priced. We have since bought family members back to this restaurant and they all enjoyed their food as well. Beautiful grounds over looking the loch. We will definitely be back.

Well worth a visit. A lovely venue with wonderful food and warm hospitality. Over on a whistle stop visit from Sydney, we enjoyed a delicious meal starting with mackerel pate, steak and scampi as mains, finished off by homemade crumble and highland mess. Thank you Alan and Emma

For us, this restaurant is the epitome of Scotland. Very nice atmosphere (with Scottish music in the background), absolutely lovely staff and of course delicious (traditional) food.

Unbelievably excellent. The proprietors, Claire and John, were so nice and friendly. Claire came out with her team of chefs to greet us. Andy, part of the staff, made us feel at home. The food was excellent. The vegan loaf was innovative and delicious. The venison burger with caramelized onions was wonderful.. Don’t get me started on the desserts. Yum. Thank you to kind people of the Carron restaurant who made strangers feel at home and fed us well.

Came across this place on our drive to Gairloch. The owner was extremely friendly and patiently tended to our needs since we were all pretty famished. He gave us great recommendations for food and dessert. The atmosphere was just perfect and we were fortunate to be visiting this part of Scotland on a warm weekend! Everything was just perfect and the food was absolutely delicious too. Highly recommend Carron's.

This family restaurant is delicious! The cuisine is homemade with great taste, we really enjoyed it. We stopped on the road without knowing it and I highly recommend it!!! The service is adorable, father son serving and mother in the kitchen? In any case it was great!!!!

Carron restaurant is a great place for a pit stop. The food is good and the owners are very hospitable and helpful. There is ample free parking on site too.

The food, ambience, the service, everything was excellent! Highly recommend this place. We were a vegan group and the vegan options were sooooo delicious! The koftas particularly were to die for!

Wonderful stop on our way to Fort William, very friendly owners and we love their doggie Tessa! Lorne sausage and egg barm was delicious as was the bacon and waffles 😊 Local alcohol also available!

Refreshing stop on a stormy afternoon. Tea and coffee beside the wood burner was perfect. A great selection of home baking which was first class and a very friendly welcome. Hospitality at its best!

We were so impressed with Claire, she’s an absolute super woman! She flagged us down in the car park as we were pulling out thinking they were closed, but I’m glad she got our attention because the food and her hospitality were well worth it. She managed to serve us, cook for us, and tend to other guests all by herself and even made time to tell us a little story. She also wholeheartedly demonstrated how to crack open the “Squat Lobster” for me, and it was all part of the great experience we had! The food was absolutely delicious! Even the baked goods she made herself were to die for! We miss Claire and her food and we wish her and her husband all the best!

Best pie I've ever had, hands down. Everyone there is super warm and friendly, and we got to know the owners over some lovely conversation while we were having dessert. The atmosphere is cozy with a warm fireplace at the entrance, and music softly playing in the background. Will definitely make a stop here again in the future. I wish the owners nothing but the best, and I hope they find what they're looking for!

I hate to say this but I’ve never seen anything as bad. Even on departure we were just about ignored whilst trying to pay. Having lived on Skye now for over a year and having sampled most of the restaurants and cafes around the area we can definitely say this is not what we expected given the standards we have received everywhere else. Having owned many successful businesses ourselves we hope you use this feedback in a positive way and make the many changes needed.

Love this place, staff friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make garlic mushrooms as a starter for me. The Venison and Haggis pie was out of this world (best pie I have ever had). It was so tasty and tender. We didn't try the desserts as we were so full. Will definitely return@

Good food, good service, quiet when we went but it was October, on the one hand it isn't cheap but it is relative to other places in the area, and the food here justifies the cost.

Tasteful food in an impressive scenario. The perfect place for eating in your visit to the Highlands. A charming cottage welcomed us with very good local cuisine. We were delighted.

With our old-timer club we stopped here for lunch. Service was excellent and super friendly. They had great local specialties. I chose fish ‘n chips because I had none since my arrival in Scotland. Pricing was fair, highly recommend this restaurant.

Sat outside at one of the many tables as our pup is very nervous around people she doesn't know. But in a way that really made the visit as the weather was great, no wind or midges. Portions are cooked well and the right size - any more would be gluttony. Service was great and the staff very helpful. No issues at all.

We stopped on our journey for lunch and this place is on the main road. The service was very attentive and staff very happy. We ordered tea eith haddock and chips. We were given a large pot with real tea leaves plus extra hot water. The fish was enormous, cooked well with no bones and the batter was lovely and crispy. The tartar sauce appeared to be home made too. There were plenty of other menu choices as well as sweet treats.

Restaurant niché dans un cadre agréable sur la route de l’île de Skye. Le décor de la salle à manger est très cosy donnant une ambiance confortable. Le fish and chips tout fait maison y compris la sauce tartare est un vrai régal. Le service fort sympathique et chaleureux. Nous avons bu, assis dans un canapé cuir moelleux, un excellent thé servi dans la petite salle adjacente au décor kitch rural très sympa. Je recommande sans réserve.

We stopped here on our way to Skye. Definitely a great place to stop. Even although a bus load of tourists had just left, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. A lovely pot of “real” tea, good coffee and delicious scones. Will visit again.

Llegamos tarde... Sobre las 14.50 hora a la que casi estaban cerrando las cocinas. Nos atendieron de manera maravillosa. Camarero grandote con barbas pinta de motero, muy amable y servicial. Comida estupenda. Precio razonable, normal, vaya. Cerveza de la zona bastante buena... Amables y efectivos...

Stopped here yesterday. Was incredibly busy but we waited for a table and extremely glad that we did. Fantastic lunch with local produce and everything was delicious. Really great choice for my vegan daughter aswell. Staff extremely friendly despite it being very busy but we were happy just to relax and wait. Highly recommended.

Lugar acogedor y muy familiar. Pedimos una sopa del día, de brocoli, a pesar de mis expectativas la sopa estaba muy buena!! Un fish&chips y unas colas de gamba rebozadas. Todo acompañado de patatas y guisantes. Todo estaba realmente bueno y se notaba recién hecho. Lugar genial para parar de camino a ullapoll o inverness. Aprox. £25 por persona Precios entre las £6 los entrantes, y £10~17 los platos principales.

Stopped here on the way to Isle of Skye and it was fantastic. Great food all fresh and locally sourced. I had a platter of cold smoked salmon trout and herring with simple salad and great dressing - perfect. Soup was also tasty and coffee excellent. Whole lunch under GBP30. Great choice of local whiskeys if you’re so inclined Definitely worth a stop.

Staff were lovely and the place had a chilled atmosphere. But you cannot charge me £17 for a ‘venison’ burger and put this on my plate. 👎🏻 Went and got a cheeseburger that was twice as big (and tasty) from the hot counter in SPAR 5 mins away.

My family came as a party of 8 and really enjoyed our meal. It had a very quiet and lovely atmosphere. Right away our little guys, ages 3 and 5, were taken care of before anyone else. Greatly appreciated! The food was delicious and the owners were very relaxed and friendly. The chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our meals and had a quick chat which was so nice! Once the kitchen had closed down she also put on a show with her amazing dog Tess with tricks! So much fun and so personal. Thanks to the entire team for the great food and fun evening.
