Really good. Genuine home made food. Large portions. Good prices too. Staff very helpful. Very clean, big toilet area. All round - super.

This place came in clutch after driving 'round looki g for eats where the road was closed.

Wonderful food, great coffee, welcoming and extremely well run. Great value food and a great atmosphere. Had the full Scottish Breakfast which was outstanding

Me and my wife were on holiday, and we stopped at the Antler for a bit of Lunch, Staff were very polite and took our order within 5 minutes after we looked at the menu, food came 10 minutes later, I had Chicken Filletes with Side Salad and Chips (YUMMY) my wife had Sausage egg and Chips also (YUMMY) all in all we were very happy with the food and the ambiance of the cafe itself, very clean little place, we will certainly pop in again if we are in the area. :-)

Really good Coffee, wonderful venison burger

Clean and friendly cafe. Accepted dogs. Order taken promptly and food arrived quickly. Sadly I felt the portions were rather small for the money. Tiny side salad and about 5 crisps. SHAME as otherwise lovely.

Called in for a first visit. Busy but welcoming staff. Good food served quickly. Well done ,will call in again when in the area.

Have to say that the A9 is not particularly well served at all for stop offs, Newtonmore is less than an hour from Inverness on the drive North and you end up taking your pick coming off the main road to see what you can find. We truly lucked out here at Antlers Cafe , easy find on the main road and dog friendly personnel providing bowl of water. Welcoming and spacious with a great feel from the daylight coming in the glazed back as well as the large shopfront. Great place to stop for lunch when it is just to early to check in at your hotel on the way to Inverness. The venison burger was generous and delicious and we like what they have done with the Southern fried chicken wrap. Keep this place in mind when you are on the Cairngorms end of the A9.

Excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly.We we’re disappointed with other places we had tried and came across this little gem on our last day I wish we had found it sooner.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and this place was my husbands choice as it looked 'welcoming'. Good choice as it turned out. We chose a table and the waitress came to take our drinks order and returned to take the food order after a few minutes. I chose the crispy shredded chicken and dirty fries (chips with grated cheese and a pickle sauce drizzled on top) and my husband had the Goats Cheese Tower, which was a wedge of goat cheese, a slab of black pudding and another wedge of goat cheese. May not sound good but it tasted incredible!!! We both enjoyed our choices and followed up with a very nice Carrot Cake, The coffee was delicious. All in all a really nice place, good staff and great food. £28.50 Bargain!!

Excellent food and a friendly service. Great value and very clean toilets. Had the coronation chicken toasted wrap and my wife had the cheese and ham toastie which were both cooked perfectly and great value. A wee gem.

Antlers is a highland cafe in the mountain village of Newtonmore. It is located on the high street and is spotlessly clean and uncluttered with a menu that caters to carnivores and vegetarians alike. The food is home cooked and delicious, the staff are warm and friendly, and the seating is comfortable and spacious. There are tables out the back too for when the sun shines. It is child and pet friendly, and they have a high chair to make it easier to accommodate the baby round the table with everyone else. Clientele are mainly locals with some passing trade - they are used to tourists and have a warm welcome for everyone.

Nice place in the centre of the village, clean and friendly.

The food was okay, not amazing, but okay for the price. The lady gave one of my party an old paper bill when giving her her change which, of course, we weren't able to spend. I don't know whether or not it was deliberate but it was inconvenient.

Food delicious , staff very helpful with my partners egg allergy , I had the vegetarian breakfast , I am not a vegetarian, just don’t like black pudding , so vegetarian means I don’t get it , the kale kick smoothie was yummy and I highly recommend

Really nice food. Menu could do with a little more detail as we had to ask quite a few questions. For example what a Scottish or mega breakfast consisted of. What the burgers were served with. Staff were really friendly and it was very busy with locals and tourists.

Only called on for coffee even though it was lunch time. Served quick, coffee was good and hot and decently priced.

Stopped by with a mate on our cycling trip we had a medium breakfast and hot drink , it was a little bit pricey for what it was but very nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend.

What a fabulous find on our tour of the Scottish Highlands- lovely little cafe with scrumptious good priced food and drinks It was so good we visited twice in four days! Don’t drive on by go in and sample because you won’t be disappointed

The only awful lunch I had on a 17 day trip around Scotland. A cheese toasty with tiny salad. Not appetising. Presented in a rush, in a hurried atmosphere by busy preoccupied and unsmiling staff. There are so many different gluten free bread products on the market now that there really is no excuse for what was offered here. Plus there wasn't a choice.

Amazingly this was our 1st visit to the Antlers Café, won't be our last! The staff were lovely and helpful, the environment clean, organised and SAFE. We had bacon and egg baps, the kids had a toastie and chicken and fries...all were fresh, high quality and really tasty. Great place for breakfast, snack or lunch...great value!

This little gem of a place is spotless, it is right in the middle of the village on the left heading north with parking right outside on the street, prices are set right and you can mix n match the fillings for a roll (bun/bap) which come well filled and piping hot and very tasty, they even have a loyalty card for regular visitors buy 6 hot drinks and get 7th free, there is a good selection of what appeared to be home baking, Jen and her team are doing an excellent job

We popped in for lunch on the recommendation of a friend and we were not dissapointed, a lovely menu, very reasonably priced, we had the venison burger delicious, we also took away the beetroot chocolate cake and that was so nice, they also do soya cappuccino which is great for me. Staff were lovely giving plus recommendations for dinner, if ever in the area again I would go back .

We were visiting the Highland Folk Museum and went to Antlers Cafe for some lunch. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

Lovely surroundings, such friendly and helpful staff, and incredibly delicious food! We were a group of vegans, veggies and carnivores with a dog and a toddler. They catered for us all and everything was absolutely gorgeous. Coffee was really good too. What a gem, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Newtonmore and hope to come back soon ourselves. Stopped off for a late lunch after completing the Wildcat Trail. We had a warm friendly welcome. The coffee was exceptionally good. I had the spicy oriental burger and my husband the spicy bean burger. Both were very tasty. The staff were lovely too.

The staff is unpleasant and does not even know what is written on their own menu. The quality of the food is also poor, especially when you compare with all the other lovely pubs in the area. We got kicked out less than 30 minutes after we enter because they wanted to close (at 2pm) but they didn't warn us when we got in. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

We were very glad we chose this cafe in Newtonmore. The ladies here were very friendly and chatty. We had delicious food too, with a great choice. What more could you want! Highly recommend and would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

Adorable and cozy cafe. Everything we tied on the menu was delicious, especially the scones. A great stop if you are in the Newtonmore area for breakfast or lunch.

Called in for brunch and found it excellent. We could order from the all day menu not just the breakfast menu. The French Toast was really good value for money.

Antlers make a big deal of their Portioli Coffee and I can see why! We were travelling home and in need of a quick bite. We hadn't been to Newtonmore for a few years so Antlers was new to us. Though they were busy, we were served promptly and our breakfast rolls (black pudding and egg, sausage and egg) arrived in a flash. Delicious! They have a menu that offers picks for veggies, gluten free and children. The cakes also looked great. And the coffee? Great! Deffo one for our Where to Stop for Real Coffee in The Highlands book!

There are several cafes along this stretch of road. None appealed particularly but we went to Antlers as it appeared the most attractive. OK service but otherwise it wouldn't be a cafe we would return to

We stopped here for lunch and we really enjoyed the homemade chicken and rice soup. There was an excellent choice of drinks as well. Service was both quick and friendly.

Good variety of breakfasts very tasty, nice coffee, bit too much coconut milk in the berry smoothie but our other milkshakes were lovely

Warm welcome in the Antlers cafe. Good food and great service. Like the baby changing facilities too which are conveniently situated in a little nook in the toilet area. Would definately recommend

Visited for breakfast . Had a full Veggie breakfast. Freshly prepared , the portion was not sufficient for one person Had a latte, tasted more like a cappuccino and I didn't quiet like the coffee .

Stopped in for breakfast while out a walk. The menu was full of great options for breakfast, we ordered French toast and a double full breakfast. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Saw on the road as we were driving through the town. Lovely traditional cosy coffee shop, great for lunch and accommodates all dietary requirements.

Luckily this place was open for us to get some food! The menu was basic but we got burgers, husband had a venison burger and I tried the spicy bean burger. They were served in large buns lightly buttered, bean burger was a standard bean burger not very exciting. The coleslaw was ready made, a little disappointing and not much salad on the side. But to be fair hardly anywhere else was open at 3pm on the Sunday before NY. The curly fries were good, served in a sharing bowl, luckily husband is the sharing type! Would definitely recommend going back to try the many cakes in offer, and the large selection of coffees and hot chocolate!

My family were staying in Newtonmore and we called in for breakfast. My wife and I had the full scottish and it was delicious - and also good value. The black pudding was probably the best I had tasted for a lon, long time.

Stopped here on Tuesday on the way to Strathpeffer and was so impressed we stopped again on the way home on a Thursday.

Perfect meal called in as we were close by had the Scottish breakfast. Did not have to wait long staff were chatty and friendly the food was good quality and hot. the black pudding was the best I'd tasted I feel the prices were about average for that type of eatary. And was happy to leave a tip definitely worth a visit. I will definitely visit again before we leave the area

You must visit this brilliant wee cafe. Fantastic vegan soups, even the "cream of" vegetable. Staff are really freindly and accommodating. Never had vegan quesadillas before!!

When we arrived the cafe was very busy but were able to sit and wait for a table to become free. As soon as a table vacated it was cleaned as quickly as the staff could and we were seated.

Was staying in Newtonmore went to AntlersCafe . Our children have dairy allergies and wife is vegetarian she had the spicy vegan burger I had a Blackpudding & Egg Roll kids had bacon rolls we all enjoyed they even did baby chinos with almond milk free of charge for children.

We popped in to fuel up on way home a mix of ages in a party of six great selection of food,great service and fairly priced well worth a visit!

Visited with my family for lunch during the Easter holidays. Chose this café over the neighbouring ones because the décor looked quite new and stylish. We ordered a mixture of breakfast rolls and soups. The breakfast rolls were very, very greasy. My wife had to blot the excess, dripping oil from the bacon in her roll using a napkin. The bottom half of my young son's roll became visibly sodden from the oil leeching from his haggis slice as he ate. Disappointing.
