I stumbled on to this cafe purely by chance as I wasn't even planning to be in Foyers. I missed my bus stop on my first ever visit to Loch Ness, & kept sitting on the bus until I saw this cafe in Foyers. Walked in, and Mary was really welcoming and friendly; gave me some advice about what I can see around in the area. Graham was also very friendly and we had a nice chat. I ended up having a nice glass of hot chocolate before heading off to explore the Falls of Foyers and Loch Ness, still thinking at the back of my mind that if time allows me, I'd head back to the cafe to spend some more time with these lovely people. I did indeed manage to go back, had a delicious carrot cake and ANOTHER glass of hot chocolate. The cafe is very lovely, and cozy. Felt like a very familiar atmosphere, had some more great chats with the folks before heading out. Mary even advised where to catch the bus heading back, and made sure that I leave with a longing to head back again next time. 10/10 would recommend this café. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Came here because of the picture of the salmon eggs Benedict, this place does not serve it. They do not have any type of egg dish. They have sandwiches and pastries only. First staff person was a bit rude when I asked about eggs, but the other two staff who ended up taking my order and serving me were very friendly. Veggie haggis panini was good, just not what I would have wanted for breakfast. Seating was sparse inside, and the tables outside were wet, as I assume the are regularly. They have free pitchers of spring water here, and Mary kindly filled a bottle for me.

A traditional tea shop with all the charm of a bygone era. Home-baked cakes and scones are the perfect treat for weary tourists who have just trekked up the steps from a visit to the nearby waterfall. Sandwiches, toasties, panini and milk shakes are also available, as are vegan and vegetarian options. There’s a delightful little souvenir section to explore, too, and a handy store next door. Well worth popping in for a cuppa.

Seen the pictures of peoples meals at this cafe on trip advisor and thought it looked really good, arrived and the menu was minimal with just a few choices of fillings for a toastie or sandwich. No hot breakfast or soup as shown in pictures. Was rather disappointed if I’m honest. Maybe an update of meal pictures wouldn’t go a miss and set people up for what’s expected.

Lovely coffee and cakes. The range of cakes looked delicious - there was a good mix of layer cakes and traybakes to choose from (I chose carrot cake and was very happy). The cafe is just over the road from the path down to the falls so it was very convenient. The proprietor was friendly and although the cafe is quite small, with only a few tables, there were sensible Covid measures in place. All in all, a very good experience. I’d definitely return if I was in the area again. We enjoyed the walk around the falls. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t catch a glimpse of any red squirrels, but we can hardly blame the cafe for that! :D

Found this place whilst visiting the waterfalls and what an unexpected gem it is. The green signage didn’t lead us to expect much, however we made our way in, the sun came out and we sat outside in a lovely rustic seating area which we hadn’t seen from the road.A great menu with something for everyone, quick and polite service and nothing too much trouble.Oh and then the food! I am pretty easy to please but time and again meals with the family whilst out and about are a let down with even basics like chips proving to be a disappointment. Not the case with the Waterfall Cafe.My wife and sister had the platter which was beautifully presented with fresh produce. I had the chicken and chips as did my son. Again it was cooked to perfection with perfect size portions and very reasonably priced. We then had some of the delicious freshly baked cake and finished up with a cup of tea.I have no idea who the chef is but he or she clearly knows what they are doing!Highly recommended and the best food and meal we had during our recent holiday in Scotland.

We drove down Loch Ness on the main road from Drumnadrochit to Fort Augustus and found it interesting but rather monotonous so we decided to return to Inverness on the right hand side of the Loch and we were really pleased that we did, although narrow the road is good with plenty of passing places along the way, and the scenery is awesome, very life affirming and wide open with wonderful views of the hills. AND, then you arrive at The Waterfall Cafe. Set above the road Ona terrace overlooking the Loch, and the path down to the Falls, you can expect, excellent food and great service. We had:Tea (Earl Grey) and an Americano coffee, both good, with a scone with real cream and jam and a slice of the most delicious apple/cinnamon crumble tart. This place was by far the highlight of our trip to Inverness. The chef and the staff are so congenial. His food is wonderfully prepared and very flavorful utilizing a lot of local ingredients. Everyone in town told us to go to the mustard seed, but this place is the actual place of the town. I talked with the chef after our meal and he self-trained, and runs the restaurant with an aire of almost childish friendliness that just went straight to our hearts. Love it.

The Craig Bar is a classic scottish bar in Grantown-on-Spey. It is run by Robbie who attentively cares for his customers. Sensitive ladies may find it surprising to be named "darling" but we found it funny and charming. Different pies are on offer, all of them freshly made and very tasty, Beer, wine and whiskeys run into the glasses - what can you ask more for a great evening in Speyside?
