A hidden gem of a cafe. Recommended by a local and it didn’t disappoint. A busy cafe. Had a short wait for a seat but was acknowledged by staff who cleared a table as soon as they could. Great coffee and scones. Even a wee menu for your dog! Menu looked good but we didn’t have too much time so only had coffee and scones.

Jammie piece is a must go to in Inverness! The food is top notch, the service was outstanding, the cafe name is amazing. I’m now back from in holiday to the highlands and I’m defo craving the soup! The portion are amazing. I ordered soup and a sandwich and stuggled to eat it (although I did polish off the plates). We had cakes to take away and they were delightful too. What you waiting for just go if your nearby! Views outside were gorgeous too. Thank you!

We stumbled across Jammy Piece 2 yrs ago whilst waiting to pick up a boat to cruise the Caledonian Canal and were wowed by their variety of breakfast available and the service, returning to fuel up before our long drive home the next week. We were relieved to return this year and find Jammy Piece still providing their amazing range and tried their takeaway and inhouse service. Neither of which disappointed. Friendly, adaptable ( when you have allergies) and everything Scotland offers. Dog friendly. Easy parking and beautiful views of the locks.

I like nothing better than a hearty Scottish breakfast Sadly this was a major disappointment Firstly I asked for scrambled egg but received a fried egg The breakfast was also stone cold apart from the beans The Haggis and black pudding despite being cold were of very poor quality However the server was very nice I noted a few others had a similar issue with cold dishes as I sat in the cafe Perhaps this was a one off for the cafe! But didn’t leave a good impression

We had to wait for a table, but the staff kept us informed and we didn't feel neglected. Finally got a table for three humans and two dogs. Great menu. Difficult to choose. Had the haggis and cheese melt panini. Who would have thought it - delicious. The scones were on steroids and really cheesy. Our friend had a plain scone and the only negative was the jam. It was in a plastic prepack and more like red jelly. Why not serve good Scottish raspberry jam in a little glass dish? Much tastier.

Best meal, cup of coffee, and service that I've received in my trip all over Scotland! I was greeted by friendly staff then served the best cafe mocha I've ever had in my entire life. They have a full espresso setup and the barista has obviously acquired some skills over the years. Then I ordered the traditional Scottish breakfast, vegan style. Vegan haggis, hash browns, potato scone, vegan sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, and toast. Everything on the plate was cooked well and deliciously spiced. I've never had a traditional Scottish breakfast to compare it to, but my local friends said it looked up to par! Wonderful food and wonderful service all whilst the staff was being kind and generous to an unhoused man whom they allowed to sit at a table. Well done, Jammy Piece! You're a shining light in this world.

The Craig Bar is a classic scottish bar in Grantown-on-Spey. It is run by Robbie who attentively cares for his customers. Sensitive ladies may find it surprising to be named "darling" but we found it funny and charming.
