Rally nice pub with great food, classy pub atmosphere and awesome service, staff explained the local food to us. The mussels were yummy and all reasonably priced. If after a traditional pub with a log fire, go here.

Compassionate. The wonderful Cafe Artysans sits, tucked away out of sight and captures return visitors with it's high standards across the board. However, what sets Cafe Artysans apart is their friendliness and MISSION to build people up. After listening to staff and watching their interactions I saw an excellent team dynamic, where they supported each-other tremendously, one staff member walking in was welcomed warmly and clearly very cared for by their peers, this extends to the customer and you can feel the warmth and trust in this clean and inviting setting. Staff are very friendly and will go above and beyond to accommodate you. The lady who served me (Jacky) was very friendly and offered some recommendations for sight-seeing around Inverness. Cafe Artysans stands out as much as a charity as it does a cafe, supporting young people into developing key practical skills and professional standards to prepare them for later life. Wonderful experience in this historic house where so many famous people have stayed (King Charles, Elton John, Giel Camps, Tony Blair and many other royalties). It’s a true living monument with incredible staff that make you feel at home, whoever you are.

A very nice gallery. Be aware that despite historical reviews it no longer operates a cafe. Some really great local art, jewellery and small souvenir items.
