Great place for lunch, friendly staff and tasty food, we have visited a few times. The only exception was the Yorkie wrap which was a wee bit disappointing - as it needed some gravy inside the wrap as it was too dry, as well as a little pot for the outside plus the chips with it were a little overdone and dry too. I only say this with the genuine intention of constructive feedback as everything else was fab (including the cakes!). Thank you.

Long long long extremely long... only to end up getting the order wrong. A not at all friendly waitress who chooses who to serve according to her desire. A cuisine neither good nor bad which fills the stomach but does not leave an impression. All compensated by a friendly and smiling owner who was kind enough to change the dishes served to us with what we had actually ordered. Affordable Prices. In short: a stopover restaurant for eating.

Welcome was great and staff friendly. We were in early, so easily seated. Worth phoning ahead if you are in a big group as there is not much they can do if they are already busy..... they really want to look after you so make it easy for them! Would recommend and we are going back!

Service was non existent, the arrogant and miserable staff just ignored us, left us standing at counter and all the staff ignored us, when we stopped a member of staff to ask if we can take a table and sit she indicated we could, we found a table and waited and waited and waited as staff members walked past us serving others, including those arriving after us, we took the hint got up and left. We were out on the motorbike and dressed accordingly, not sure if this was a contributing factor or the fact that one of us was from a ethnic minority group , as they failed to communicate with us we will never know. Very small dinning area with very little room for people to walk past tables. Never had a chance to sample the food so can give no comment.

Sadly wouldn’t recommend this place, in today for lunch.. slow service (even for a glass of water and a coke) not very welcoming staff, and asked for vegan cheese on a panini and 95% sure it was mozzarella that came!! Asked the girl who clearly didn’t care and lied and said it was vegan cheese! After reading some other reviews about them not adapting their menu.. this was definitely a case of that! Give them there due they took it off the bill, but I didn’t not find this acceptable at all! You need to trust the people who are feeding you!

For a place that claims to be dog friendly it definitely doesn't appear to be friendly, towards dogs or humans. The server was rude and seemed as though she couldn't be bothered taking orders or answering customer questions. The food itself was okay but definitely nothing special nor worth the high prices. Alterations to the menu not being allowed would suggest that the food isn't freshly prepared. Also for the price you would expect or at least hope that there would be a side of crisps or at least a salad. As for the cake, we got the red velvet cake and it was dry and tasted of bicarb leaving a horrible taste in the mouth, would've got a better cake shopping in the spar down the road. Definitely won't be returning or recommending to anyone I like.

Came here as a family of three without reservation. We ordered fish and chips, for an adult but our 5 year old also wanted this, it wasn't on the kids menu but we took it anyway. Fish unfortunately looked like it came out of a packet, the two portions were identicle in size and shape (we did order and pay for it as two adults portions). The rest of the presentation was good, but just wasn't to my taste. We also had ordered dirty fries with beef chilli. Portion size was great but it just was ok. It wasn't busy and not much in terms of atmosphere which was a shame for a Saturday night at 1730 at night. The staff were pleasant and the place was clean. The food came quick and was presented well. Sorry to leave a 3 star review but it wasn't much to write home about or £52 value

These people should not be in the hospitality industry. Poor service, inflexibility, very average food and sky high prices. Almost 40 quid for 3 average sandwiches (that can’t be toasted apparently) and a small veggie quiche and teas and coffees. Stopped in to grab a quick coffee and hit the road to Edinburgh. My 10 year old kid and 65 year old mother wanted to eat their prepacked lunch while I ordered and drank my coffee. While not the best practice, I appeased them so we didnt delay our trip. I went inside and ordered coffee for here. The lady at the counter asked again, for here? And I said, yes. Ill have it outside. I went back outside and waited. She came to ask again, do you want the coffee for here. I said yes. I'll drink it here. She said, then you need to come inside and pay. I said absolutely and paid. Instead of bringing me a porcelain cup of coffee as requested, she gave me a paper cup and said here is your coffee to go very clearly implying that I was not welcome at this establishment. She followed that up with you can't sit in the walk way although the table was set up to have 3 chairs at the table. Question is if we were treated this way because a child and grandmother were taking a quick bite or if my melanated skin was the issue - especially considering that dogs were welcome inside at tables, other non melanated folks consumed coffee outside and we paid just like everyone else. Hmmmmm. All in all, the service and treatment were very unwelcoming and not at all pleasant. Only spend your money here if you are looking to be treated rudely.

If you have traveled to the highlands and lamented the difficulty in finding a salad or alternatives to the typical Scottish pub menu, I stumbled onto a small local eatery in the tiny village of Carrbridge on our drive through Cairngorms National Park. For sure, they have fish and chips and the classic Scottish standards, but they serve a delightful menu of alternative choices. For example, when was the last time you had sweet red pico [Little] peppers in a salad? The desserts are to die for. My wife is a desert aficionado. She had the millionaire pastry with chocolate dolce de Leche shortbread. She was oohing and aahing with every bite. Owner Charlotte Kennerley was very attentive to making sure we had a great experience. Fabulous place to stop for lunch, snack or cake and tea on your way to or from Cairngorms.

Was asked if I had a smart phone for track and trace, a good idea, unfortunately wi-fi signal kept dropping so asked waitress if she would take our contact details. She said no, use the App as it was illegal for them to take details when the customer has a phone. I spent a long time trying the App again and was almost done when the signal dropped at which point I may have uttered a mild expletive at my phone. As my Dad went to pay another waitress approached in a confrontational and aggressive manner demanding to see my phone as proof that we had 'checked out' on the App.I showed her that it wasn't working but she continued to raise her voice and again refused to take our contact details and said I should stand near the counter for a better signal. It still didn't work and she started to get angry, strangely, she did not ask to see the anyone else's phone. In the meantime, my Dad had found another member of staff who apparently said there was 'no problem' and took down our contact details. As we left a woman appeared from the kitchen and also took our details, she said the waitress claimed I had been swearing at her. This was not true, also illogical, as the waitress had been ranting non-stop like someone trying to start a fight in a pub, it had been virtually impossible to get a word in.I asked her what I was supposed to have said. The answer seemed to be 'well, other customers have been causing problems' - Can't think why?Everywhere else we visited our contact details were taken without issue so this seems to be a problem they have created. The food was actually very nice, so if you visit maybe just take a gumshield and hide your phone.

Cullen skink, tomato and basil soup and the chicken bacon and pesto mayo panini- all delicious. Love this cafe, cannot fault it

Visited today with my mother (who has bad arthritis, so has some mobility issues). Staff were excellent offering a great table outside (under cover) which was ideal to minimise any C-19 exposure. There was a great selection of customers, a big family on bikes, a couple bikers, holiday makers and locals alike. The whole place has a lovely friendly vibe, chatting to customers, clearly busy but with no feel of being rushed. I can’t recommend the porridge enough, it’s not like any other’s you’ve tasted.. add the cream & honey.. wow!Cakes and possibly the best Flat white coffees ever, I have oat milk but the velvet texture is as good as regular milk.Spotlessly clean, everything made fresh to order, not to be missed.

This place was by far the highlight of our trip to Inverness. The chef and the staff are so congenial. His food is wonderfully prepared and very flavorful utilizing a lot of local ingredients. Everyone in town told us to go to the mustard seed, but this place is the actual place of the town. I talked with the chef after our meal and he self-trained, and runs the restaurant with an aire of almost childish friendliness that just went straight to our hearts. Love it.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful meal here whilst on our trip to Grantown on Spey. The food was wonderful, homemade, good quantity and quality at a good price. We had steak and ale pie, balmoral chicken, chicken goujons and veggie burger plus wonderful homemade desserts. The vegetarian options were really good. We would recommend to anyone looking for something to eat here.

The Craig Bar is a classic scottish bar in Grantown-on-Spey. It is run by Robbie who attentively cares for his customers. Sensitive ladies may find it surprising to be named "darling" but we found it funny and charming. Different pies are on offer, all of them freshly made and very tasty, Beer, wine and whiskeys run into the glasses - what can you ask more for a great evening in Speyside?
