Friends recommended this establishment for a Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. Lovely meal served on warm plates, big portion, proper Yorkshire Pudding, nicely cooked roast beef followed by very tasty sticky toffee pudding. Staff very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back and are kicking ourselves for not visiting before now !

Yo, listen up, fam! So, we hit up this hotel joint, right? But yo, Expedia played us dirty – booking didn't slide through, and we roll up late, straight booking-less. Ain't nobody got time for that! But then, in comes Peter, the bossman, swooping in like a true G. He got us sorted, no questions asked. Mad respect! Now, let me tell you about this spot. Location? Fire. Views from the room? Straight-up breathtaking. We talking skyline vistas that make you wanna stay forever. And the staff? A whole vibe. Peter and his crew ain't just helpful – they family now. So, if you're looking for a spot where the hustle meets hospitality, this joint is where it's at. Trust me, you won't regret it. Peace out.

I visited The Osborne for lunch coming on the bus from Dunoon (the bus stops in both directions are very close.) I had the haggis fritters to start, the fritters were tasty but I found the dip had to much mayonnaise, followed by the steak pie and mash not something I’d order in England, but I’m in Scotland a nation known for quality steak pie, I wasn’t disappointed.

The Osborne Inn is a charming inn with a beautiful view of the River Clyde. It's esthetically pleasing architecture welcomes you immediately and draws you into its warmth. The rooms are quite cozy and roomy with bathrooms en suite. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant are relaxed and jovial. The food is delicious and breakfast is made to order, with hearty portions. The extraordinary staff and local patrons were most invaluable resources to us, and couldn't've been more gracious. I've been intending to visit The Osborne for some time and fnally made it down for lunch. I was not disappointed!! The venue has a reputation for its hot chicken wings and I opted for this as a starter...very very moorish and I'll be having these again soon ...as a main course! The steak with blue cheese salad was similarly impressive washed down with a pint of Birra Moretti. Friendly and welcoming service was also notable. Needless to say I'll be back...and soon!!

The Osborne is a budget B&B. It has a well stocked bar, a cosy log burner, a conservatory dining area and a further dining room if private parties are in the conservatory. The rooms are spotless and functional. The en suite layout is maybe not conventional but it is adequate and saves sharing. The beds are comfortable and the rooms cosy. The three rooms all face out on to the Clyde and with frequent weather changes, that scene scanned all the time to give some stunning views. The dinner was very good and the only gripe was that one plate was cold. This particular dish came with a salad and if the salad had been in a separate bowl, the plate could have been heated and the food hot for longer. The breakfast was excellent. How refreshing to get a chef who can make great scrambled egg and fabulous fried egg! The buffet for the party was outstanding. There was even a ‘floral’ arrangement made completely from vegetable carving. It was stunning. Full marks again to the chef. The staff are very warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is no access for disabled. The price of a double room with breakfast was £80 and a single £55. Great value for money. Parking is at the roadside. Definitely worth a visit and I am sure we will be back, if only for lunch. Well done to The Osborne.

There were 4 of us staying in Innellan for 4 days, so we went Into The Osborne everyday because of the friendliness of the place. They had an extremely excellent selection of drinks so we were all happy. We met with relations and had the best time with them just chatting, playing darts and pool. The manager Pete was both extremely professional but also very friendly. He made our stay extra special. We all ate there and the menu was amazing with so much choice. I had the fish and it not only looked amazing with chips and mushy peas but it tasted amazing too. I can understand having to book as when we first went in the dinning room was empty but with in an hour it was full. They have an amazing chef who has created a very well thought out Menu. When we are back because we will visit again we will definitely eat here again. Thanks for the hospitality and the 5 star service.

We were on holiday for two weeks in 'The Snug' Innellan during September this year and visited the Osborne for food and drinks often during our stay. We feel very much at home there as we have stayed in Innellan many times over the years. Pete and Elliot and all the staff feel like old friends and are so welcoming. The food is delicious and the portions generous. There is a wide range to choose from and don't forget to check out the specials! Sunday lunch is the best in any pub anywhere. The views are the best restaurant views in the Dunoon area whatever the weather. The rooms are warm, clean and comfortable and the front rooms have large windows overlooking the Clyde. The only reason we did self catering this time and didn't stay at the Osborne was to protect our waistlines as the food is just too tasty! Don't forget to book your table in advance as this restaurant is understandably one of the most popular in the area. We have already booked our next visit to the area and will be back to visit our home from home local The Osborne in the new year.

I asked around for a recommendation for a place for lunch and was told to go to the Osborne. I called to see if i needed to book and told very sharply by the person who answered that yes I had to. when I arrived I was the only person in the dining area for at least 45minutes, when a couple of other people came in. I had chowder which was bland and not very interesting, followed by Sausage and Mash. The sausages were apparently rare breed but could just have easily been supermarket budget brand, they had a very subtle flavour and too smooth texture. The veg was boiled or steamed. Nothing was very tasty. There was no dark beer low or no alcohol available. The service was good and prompt and the wait staff was pleasant. The price wasn't bad.

My wife and myself called in for a light lunch on a Thursday a fortnight ago and enjoyed it so much that we booked a table for dinner on the Friday which, again was pretty special, On paying a call, as you do when there are three good real ales on offer, a cunningly placed notice of a Saturday afternoon Hog Roast stared me in the face - and, it just happened to be tomorrow ! Sadly, the afternoon turned out to be a little damp but, we were there for the food, and also the entertainment from a very accomplished duo. The Friday starter of tiger prawns was so delicious that I asked if we could return for a second helping for Sunday lunch. Frankly, it was upsetting to have to leave the place but, we were on a 74 day tour of the UK in our motor home, and had to progress North. It is, however, logged in the memory for a return visit and one has to compliment the Manager who. despite entertaining his mother and family that weekend, didn't miss a trick. He even noticed my wife's glass of water needed refilling, despite being busy. That, to me demonstrates a finger on the pulse, and would definitely draw me me back.

We tried to go in for lunch about 1:30 as I walked in the door I politely asked the waitress if there were any tables for 3 people, to which she shook her head at - despite that 6/10 tables had nobody at them. She was very rude and unapologetic. As we turned to walk out she said she would just double check, Pete then said yes there was availability and we sat down. When we were handed the menu, Pete apologised for the confusion with the tables. The menu was very similar to previous visits with a range of food to choose from. The waitress gave off the impression she couldn’t be bothered and didn’t have a good manner about her. We ordered scampi, chicken burger and ham, egg and chips - the food was fine. Nobody asked if our food was ok or if we wanted anymore drinks. After asking for the bill and leaving money, we went to leave and nobody acknowledged us or thanked us for our visit. Unfortunately in a small town it is difficult to get customers at time and most small businesses rely on their locals for support. We didn’t feel welcomed or valued as customers and I doubt we will be back.

We enjoyed a great evening meal that night, and a perfect Scottish breakfast every morning as well as a large family/friends lunch and other beautifully prepared and presented food.It was great to relax by the tempting glow of the logburning stove and to watch the constant activity on the great river, ranging from nuclear submarines to all kinds of wildlife. Our heartfelt thanks to Peter and Elliot and all the cheerful team!

From past experience it's best to book a table in advance if you can, especially for evening and weekend meals.

I've never stayed in a nicer, friendlier small hotel. The food is really excellent, with great beer. Lovely breakfasts too.

In the local area viewing houses, decided to take a break and enjoy some soup and a pot of tea. Wandered in the door, party of 5, only to be told they didn't serve for a further 15 minutes and we couldn't wait!....

Arrived early for our meal and they sat us straight down. The meals were well cooked. My wife had the fish and chips which was a very generous portion. I can recommend the rib of beef which was delicious. It wasn't very busy ( it was Monday night though) but the staff were very pleasant and service was very prompt.

We booked a table here at the last minute as we arrived late to our hotel. The guy there said that The Osborne had been done up recently and was very popular so we should book.

My family stayed at the Osborne for two nights whilst attending a wedding locally. The rooms were well decorated and extremely clean with great views of the Clyde. Peter couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, he really went the extra mile to make sure our visit was perfect. If you stay here make sure you eat in the restaurant as the food is delicious and well priced. The breakfast was served promptly and was very filling. If we return to the area we will definitely stay here.

Este hotel tiene una ubicación hermosa y el comedor tiene unas vistas sobre el fiordo de Clyde. Uno de los servidores es agradable, el otro no tanto. Entramos y no tenían nuestra reserva.

We went to the Osborne after booking ahead (recommended) and we were delighted with the food. Really good menu choice and additional specials. Crispy king prawn and piri piri king prawn starters were truly delicious. Mains were monkfish and king prawn skewers, and sirloin steak. Both perfect. Really friendly staff who were very helpful. Short wait for food as it was cooked to order did not detract from a lovely meal overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Excellent overall.

Visited recently for lunch and while the view was lovely I felt the food was only average and there wasn't a huge choice. Fine if you just want a cafe style lunch maybe with your kids but not too great if you were looking for fine dining. However we will possibly return on another occasion.

The menu wasn't very inspiring and the decor even less so. We ordered but was constantly inturrupted whilst eating to see if we were ok. My partner had a very tough fillet steak and I ordered Crispy Duck which was really dry and hard to chew.

Visited here for lunch. There are magnificent views of the River Clyde from the dining area.We both chose the mushroom soup was delicious. I had the Welsh rarebit which came with salad and perfectly cooked chips and the meal was substantial and delicious. My friend had the fish and chips with tartar sauce and a small portion of mushy peas. There is great attention to detail here. I would rate it as excellent. They always seem to offer a fritatta as the vegetarian dish which has to be requested. I wish they would offer something else just for a change! Just a minor complaint

Excellent food and menu caters to all tastes. Eating in the front porch with all the windows and the views across the Clyde make this a must go to place for a meal. You need to book ahead that's testamount to how popular it is locally. I have had both a lunch and a dinner here and both were excellent. Service is brilliant and hosts very friendly and make you feel special

We were staying in Dunoon and this place was recommended to us. The food is good and the beer well kept with a good choice. There is an informal dining room with views of the Firth. Very friendly proprietors and staff. We will go again.

Nice enough wee resteraunt, food was ok, It's just unfortunate that yet another wee place up here 🏴, has been taken over..again, by londoner's who have the money to buy a business that some locals wanted, Know the island so well,❤️. Also know that some of the locals are not happy,50/50 split.
