Best chippy in Perth.. well worth a visit on any night to see Mike and his ability to remember every order, and guide his staff. Great food, great staff!

Fantastic fish and chips, fish was deliciously light, flakey with perfect crispy batter - obviously cooked fresh along with fresh and tasty chips - mushy peas were perfect too. Mike and Charlene were hospitable, with great great banter and stories - thank you, we'll be back again next year to one of the best chippies we've been to!

Superb fish n chips, being going to the Chippy when I’m in Perth for years. It’s one of the best fish suppers you can get & in my experience, as good as Anstruther. Efficient & quality service, the business owner has been there 40 plus years & the quality is the reason for its success.

Picked up to eat on the road, owner could tell we were clueless tourists and gave us enough time to pick what we wanted. Very very busy inside with many people waiting but they very clearly had a good system worked out to keep things moving smoothly. Personally would shit myself if I was working there, owner was fair but intimidating. I was on the customer's side of the shop and he almost had me call him chef. Food itself was very very good, the only downside being I didn't order more and won't be able to come round again any time soon.

The organisation and efficiency of the staff was outstanding. As was my fish and chips. Well done to all the staff

Order haddock and chips.. disappointed as there was next to nothing fish wise in my supper.. As they say in Glasgow a load off batter and no fish.. I foned to mention this and Mike the cook said it was to do with bad weather and the fishing boats can only catch wee fish. 😆 🤣.. Mike the cook offered me a piece of fish he would put in my next takeaway heehee Beware next time there's a storm have mack and cheese instead.. Mind you the mack and cheese doesn't look very appealing .. Check previous reviews..

One of the best fish suppers in Scotland. Incredibly warm welcome, everything cooked to order. The chef seems to remember everyone's order just in his head. Takes pride not only in the fresh fish, but even the potato suppliers etc. Parking a bit tricky, but worth a wee walk!

Absolutely the best fish and chips in town! As a regular customer, I truly appreciate their effort to always cook mine in vegetable oil upon request. The taste is consistently amazing, Highly recommend!

Served very quickly, the chef answers your questions about the menus and dishes. If you don't have fish, there are nuggets, chicken, etc. We are served by a very friendly and warm family team. Taste the nuttela balls! 🤤 A little killing after eating! There are one or two places to eat inside but they are window sills, not chairs and tables.

Can't fault this place ,superb food.

Been using fish and chip co for years love the food, unfortunately last night we ordered online, two hours later we phoned to see where the order was and were told there was no record off the order and we would need to order again which we did, weren't offered and discount or anything, 3 hours after ordering the first time we received our food.

We love this place, when we’re down visiting Perth, the man behind the frier, always cracking funnies, yes the food is great too, it’s always busy, there are great deals up on the boards above and we will continue to visit when we visit our kid, my favourite has to be the chips, nothing nicer than a poke of chips on a walk home from the train

Genuinely my absolute favourite fish and chip shop in Perth. Never had better anywhere else, always so fresh and tastes amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and waiting times are really good too. Three times in the last month I’ve had a sausage supper and single fish supper and each time I’m reminded why I go back. Truly the best in Perth.

Good fish and chip supper had and lovely staff! Mushy Peas need a wee tweak but otherwise enjoyed. Would recommend 👌

Our first stop in Scotland after landing. We happen to get the taste of scotland, not just food but also the scottish hospitality. People were so nice, and even the customers waiting for the orders joined the conversation and gave tips on where to stop to see the autumn 🍂 We ordered 1 big portion of fish and chips and some sides haggis and peas. They divided each order into 2 boxes and added some fries, which was so pratical for us to share. The portions were generous like the people there. Our first taste to haggis and we loved it.

Food okay, but the service was a shambles, and I wouldn't visit unless you have pre ordered. I appreciate it will be busy on a Friday evening, but phone orders were given absolute priority over the people in the shop. They should have been given equal weight. That meant a very long wait, with loads of people in the shop, and because you didn't know when the phone orders would stop, you had no idea how long then wait would be. Very disorganised. The main fryer knew what was going on, but the other staff nor any of the customers had a clue. It did mean they ended up undercharging us by mistake as they put the order through the till wrong, although served us correctly. I would normally have told them it was wrong, but as it was such poor service I didn't. They have to improve the flow of orders. Also, oddly, there seemed to be only one person frying and lots of other staff standing around doing little, despite it being very busy.

Supposed to be one of perths top chippy's,the 2 bits of fish I got was so over cooked that it had shrunk inside the batter it was tough. Batter was over done as well obviously,dark brown and bitter. The chips was really small portion size for the £10 it cost. Won't be back,there is a better one in perth. This was at 6pm as well so no excuse for it.

Never disappointed. Freshly prepared, excellent quality. Staff are always friendly and efficient.

Again and again, I say this is the best Fish and Chips I've ever had. It's true. The family that runs this joint are the most friendly folks. They really are, super polite and very eager to please the customers. But seriously, the fillets are so good, I'd let the staff curse at me and punch me face if that's what it took, the food is so delicious. Lucky, the chippers are are as pleasant as the fishes. Go Here!

I've never had a fresh piece of fish that isn't cooked in dirty oil , everytime I order fish it's not fresh or the oil is overdue a change

Went to this chip shop on the back of the reviews despite it being a few miles away from the campsite we were staying at. The fish was way overcooked and dry with only a few chips on the bottom of the box. My wife's spring roll supper was dark brown and overcooked too Not cheap and especially when half of it ended up in the bin! Very poor

The owner noticed I was cycling to collect my order, and asked his colleague to double wrap my order. That’s service 😊😊

It's the best fish & chips I've eaten to date. Nothing more to say.

It's been a very, very long time since I finished every bit of a fish supper, but mission accomplished tonight. Every chip, large and small was excellent. The fish (2 bits) was perfect. No greasy after taste or feeling like it's stuck to the roof of your mouth. The place was very busy, but everyone knew their jobs, and they we're banging out what looked like perfect food all the time. 10 minute drive to get back to the campsite, before consuming the whole lot without even pausing for a drink of beer. Only bad thing about it is, it's over 30 miles fae ma hoose, so I'll have to go camping in that area more often.

Great fish and a very warm welcome. Unsurprisingly as a good chippie it is very popular and so it can get busy. However, they have a very efficient "production line" keeping the orders coming as fast as possible, whilst keeping top quality. Always service with a smile 😁

Found this chippy by reviews on other sites while travelling south after a day out. What a delight! Freshly cooked and absolutely lovely and at a very reasonable price. Parking can be awkward as when we visited on a Sunday evening it was very busy in the area but well worth the effort.

Disappointing, the combo deal is not worth it, a sausage supper has 2 sausages, not 1..! The chip portions were small.

OMG where do I start with this chippy! We had such an amazing laugh with the staff here, we were the couple sat on the window sill, who had you in hysterics because I got punched playfully by my partner at the same time as you asked if we wanted salt and vinegar. Staff were brilliant, had such a laugh, the food was amazing, stayed warm on our drive home. We will definitely be back. Amazing!

If it’s about fish and chips I think they were great, I think the place should serve some sauces in single use packages.

We wanted to try the famous Fish & Chips and therefore asked the people working here for advice. They were very welcoming, explained their menu to us and chatted for a few minutes. The meal was excellent, we loved it. They also offered us curry sauce and pea puree. Address not to be missed!

Visited May 18th 2024 and ordered small fish and large fish supper. After short wait I received big white bag and smelt good. On opening large fish I was greeted with 2 good size of fish and excellent golden chips. Could not find 1 spot of grease anywhere. The fish and batter were excellent along with those golden chips. The wife's small fish was also on par. It is the 1st time I have ate the lot, really good value. Next time I am in the area I know where to go. P.S. the shop was spotlessly clean and the young staff very polite and friendly, also a great range of other products if your not a fish lover. As Arnie says " I will be back ".

I must admit, this might sound a bit cheesy, but I've just had the most delightful fish and chips in years. The fish was tender and flavorful, perfectly crisp on the outside. Even more impressive was the warmth and friendliness of the staff, who made us feel completely at home. It was as if I had strolled into a local eatery for a comforting meal. I can't decide what was more remarkable: the inviting atmosphere created by the wonderful staff or the sheer deliciousness of the food. I highly recommend that everyone try their fish and chips. In fact, I'm so impressed that I'm urging my friends in California to travel all the way to Perth just to experience it themselves.

Without a doubt the best fish and chip shop in Perth and surrounding area. Mike and the team are amazing. Moved from Australia not that long ago and they were very patient with my lack of knowledge on how to order. It might sound dumb but for example "fish supper" is not a term we use or had heard of. Many more but that's the best example. Thanks again to the gang for amazing food and service. 6 stars out of 5.

Order arrived very late. No contact from shop to advise or apology. Food was clearly reheated. Would not return or recommend.

Best in the whole of Perth by far. We have always had a great meal, we tend to get it delivered and it's always hot and crispy.

Lovely fish and chips. Abrupt service.

It is quite unfair and unethical on the part of the shop to not display that they use cow fat/ tallow for frying. Usually the shops use vegetable oil, which can not disturb anyone's personal or religious ideas about eating or not eating beef. We wouldn't touch this shop with a barge pole again.

It's a fantastic chip shop and worth stopping at if going through perth. I had the chicken supper with batter, which was delicious.

Always come here when I come to Perth. Haven't been for a few years but nothing has changed. The fish supper was fantastic. Lovely fresh fish with a crispy batter. Came back a second night and had the battered, smoked sausage. Again delicious. The staff are great and its always busy which is a good sign.

Fresh cooked everything, impeccable and polite service, this is not a chippy but a fish and chip specialist.

Have used this chippy for many years now. We have to go to the other end of town for it but it is worth it. We have never had anything that was other than perfect. Michael is amazing and remembers every single order and what order they come in. Such a hard worker along with his staff. Thank you.

Traditional Scottish chippy with the usual warm and hilarious owners. We dropped in on a rather grim scottish day, but our day was made better by the owners. We had the breaded haddock, portions were generous and delicious. Whenever I'm driving to north Scotland this is going to be my go to pitstop.
