Doesn't accept cash :( Not everyone wants to be digitally tracked by their bank etc ,no Fika are so busy they don't want cash paying customers - won't be going again.

Had the most lovely experience here just 15 mins ago with my partner. I got the avocado on toast and he got scrambled eggs. Cooked to perfection. The girl who greeted us was so friendly and the other members of staff were also lovely. Will come back here when we have another holiday to Aberfeldy

What a fabulous little gem👏👏. My husband and I with our gorgeous Border Terrier, popped in for coffee, we ended up having lunch. Staff were "super friendly" and approachable. Food was delicious 😋, my husband said it was the best mushroom soup he'd ever had. To top it all, the venue is extremely dog friendly, my little pooch was provided with fresh water and lots of treats. Hope to visit again before heading back to Yorkshire.

Visited this coffee shop/café today for a quick coffee. I have been here before and was so impressed with the staff,service and cleanliness. The menu looks very tasty too but I was only in for coffee. I was served by a waitress called Isla and what a credit she is to you She remembered me being in before and was so friendly and welcoming and her customer service was outstanding. What a credit she is to you . I will definitely be returning to this little gem 🥰

The staff was a bit too friendly for my taste, but maybe that's normal here. Otherwise there was a man who played the guitar live. Food is a bit expensive for the small portions. Otherwise probably delicious. Most people will definitely like the ambience👍

A brilliant coffee shop serving delicious breakfasts and lunches. The coffee and cakes are excellent too! Very child and dog friendly, and the staff are very welcoming. My go to place for lunch when in Aberfeldy!

Absolutely cracking wee place and I can't recommend it highly enough. I was in with a bunch of pals and it could have been quite intimidating for the staff when a large group of guys turn up but they were most welcoming. The food and service was top notch and we all enjoyed our lunch and the chat we had with the owner. Can't wait to go back again.

The best bacon brie and cranberry sandwich every along with my hot chocolate.Dog friendly, friendly staff and the only place my nervy dog has ever just lay down under a table and went to sleep. Husband recommends the coconut & raspberry scone as well. Highly recommended. Only card payment taken.

Gluten free breakfast and lunch in Aberfeldy. They haven't advertised it well but have lots of options for gluten free, had a really nice sandwich and soup on decent schar rolls. When I googled to search Aberfeldy for gf there wasn't anywhere I could find that was gf for breakfast but nice options here. They didn't have eggs on this morning but we're short on kitchen staff, not sure if that is the norm. Staff were also really friendly and calm despite being absolutely slammed from first thing. Thanks for a lovely gf start to the day.

Stopped in here on a beautiful sunny day which matched the welcome we received. Coffee was excellent and the brioche bun was very tasty. Doggy friendly and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend stopping - the lunch menu looked great too.

Beautiful find in Aberfeldy! Staff were extremely professional, friendly and went above and beyond for customers. Food and coffee was great and the whole atmosphere was amazing. The guitarist gently playing traditional Scottish folk songs was a beautiful added touch. Highly recommend.

Brilliant cafe, with lovely owners who clearly care deeply about what they are serving and the people who are in the cafe. I sat and worked for a half a day so had both breakfast and lunch here and can vouch for the sausage roll and the pastrami sandwich. Coffee was great too but it was all genuinely made so much better by the friendly staff, efficient service and comfortable layout of the space. Good value for money too.

Very nice and super cosy place in the centre of Aberfeldy. An excellent breakfast with both vegetarian and vegan choices, good tea and coffee. Great for refreshments before heading into the wonderful, history-filled forest walks that surround the village.

The Habitat Cafe,always a favourite and wonderful place to visit. Great food and service from Mike and his team. However, sadly it is no longer there. 😕 I am delighted to say that it has changed genre, to a Swedish style Cafe, called Finka. Interesting food, well presented and served. Give it a try We had superb home made soup, to follow I had Swedish Meatballs with a tasty Beetroot and Apple Salad, on Ryebread. The coffee was lovely too. Thank You !

The new owners are an asset to the town. Food and service is always good and you get what you pay for. 10/10

We visited here at a busy time, but was told by staff that if we didn't mind waiting a few minutes, they'd find us a table, which they did. I visited with my husband and son, and we all had soup, which was gorgeous. The service was extremely quick, considering they were busy, and the staff really polite.

Popped in for a Latte and cake, Local Guitarist picked away some lovely tunes. Good to hear live music. Cake was good as well.

BEST CHIPS IN SCOTLAND, YES REALLY! Delicious flavor combinations in the toasties, and the warm atmosphere was so welcome on a cold day. They are also super gracious about food allergies and intolerances. If you are hungry, Habitat Cafe will have you leaving with a full belly and rosy cheeks. 💖

My wife and I went here for lunch after a healthy mornings walk, and we were not disappointed. In fact we were pleasantly surprised at the high quality. The owners have obviously gone to great lengths to provide a high standard. We both had the Pastrami and Emmental toasties which came with homemade coleslaw and a small fresh salad. Oh yes! Will definitely be back!

This is now under new management and the owners seem lovely. We were made to feel very welcome, a table for four at lunch with two bulldogs. We went in for coffees but ended up having soup and a sandwich, as the soup sounded fantastic. I have to say it did not let anyone down, spicy carrot and coconut is now a new favourite. Everything was lovely and then a guy arrived and played the guitar, which was a lovely added touch. All in all a must visit.

We had a lovely lunch at Habitat while visiting Aberfeldy. The food was brilliant - I am gluten free and the staff were knowledgeable, helpful and there were plenty of options. Service was speedy and cheerful. Will definitely be going back.

Try the rosemary chips and milkshake a truly fresh take and very pleasant taste situated in the square of a beautiful town square.

We were here in mid-August. The cafe is located right in Aberfeldy on the main street. The service is very friendly and you are shown to the table. You don't have to wait long, the food and drinks are very tasty. Price performance ratio is very good. We'd love to come back.

This little cafe on the main square in Aberfeldy is bright, clean and cheerful. The staff are particularly attentive and clearly keen to make their cafe the best it can be. There's a good choice of food and drinks on the menu and we had an excellent breakfast for a good price. The food was of a high quality and presented beautifully. A great choice if you're in town.

Friendly wee cafe with nice food and good selection. They do that annoying thing of adding 10% into your bill as a discretionary service charge. It's dishonest, people feel awkward asking for it to be removed. If the food is going to cost 10% more then just make that the price and pay your staff a fair wage, that is not reliant on the generosity of customers. Stupid trend in UK hospitality that justifies the poor treatment of staff by their employers.

The staff was very friendly and helped people where necessary. The sandwich and soup were tasty. Finally a really good green tea (and not a cheap bag). Well worth a visit for lunch.

Superb little lunch today. Had the pastrami panini with a latte and when asked for a glass of tap water was given a bottle. Nice touch. Great bite to eat and also liked the vinaigrette. Definitely would return.

Staff were very friendly, helping people out where needed. The sandwich and the soup were tasty. Finally some real good green the (and not a cheap bag). Certainly worth your visit for a lunch.

Four of us went in, I spotted cash is not accepted so we went to the cinema cafe , Habitat loses £48.00 in sales, not everyone wants to use bank cards.

We come to visit Aberfeldy every year as a family & it’s never disappoints. This fab little cafe is perfect…The owners were excellent with us & staff.. We were a table of six & they were very accommodating & service was great. Had a delicious breakfast as a bonus… & we even popped back for a spot of lunch the next few days later.. definitely will be back :)

Great little cafe in the centre of Aberfeldy. Weather was stunning so opted for an outside table and watched the world go by. Not cheap but well worth it

This place is perfect! The breakfast is 100 times better than a five star hotel not far from here, we are so glad we came! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was so friendly and attentive. Also delicious coffee! Make sure to support this lovely family run business if you’re in aberfeldy ☺️

Very good for a lunch break: quick, good. Carrot cake to die for!

Called today, 26/05/24. Ordered a smokey bacon , brie and cranberry toasted sandwich. Soggy bacon, hardly any brie and couldn't find the cranberry. Bitter stale salad, left most of the salad and couldn't have eaten the other without the mayonnaise. Over priced for what it was, not impressed at all. Took several hours to get the bitter taste of the salad off my tongue. I did tell a member of staff. Certainly wouldn't go there again. I very rarely say I didn't enjoy the food when asked. And very rarely give a bad review.

Friendly staff and delicious food! I had seen this cafe in the Wild Guide and took a detour from the A9 to stop for a late lunch, we were not disappointed. Staff were very accommodating, even with my sons' bizarre request for cream and marshmallows on their masala chai. Food was delicious, especially the rosemary chips,and the live music made for a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be coming again, thank you 😊

As someone who runs a bar/cafe I really appreciate the effort of another independent establishment. Décor is cute and dog friendly also which will make our next visit more enjoyable as we'll make sure to bring the pooches for a coffee and cake!

Was visiting family when we happened to come across this cafe, the food was absolutely gorgeous which was also reasonably priced, lovely helpful staff and the cafe is also very pretty with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Not quite sure when I’ll be visiting family again but when I do I’ll definitely be calling back into the Habitat.

Awful establishment, with awful food ran by awful people. The place is dirty and the employees are rude. A 10% gratuity is AUTOMATICALLY applied without your consent. Disgusting

We stopped en route to Inverness and happened across this cafe. Friendly staff, superb coffee and really good toasted teacakes, trust me, we are experts in all things teacakes! We were disappointed not to be stopping for a meal, it all looked really good when it came out to other tables. Don’t miss the opportunity of stopping by here if you can!

Great wee dog friendly place in Aberfeldy. Nice enough to sit outside and the member for staff that came out very quickly put out table and chairs for us. Lovely coffee on a glorious day.

First class breakfast at midday - perfect! We enjoyed the option to add what we wanted to our yummy scrambled eggs on toast - added bacon and beans to mine, added bacon and black pudding to his. Very good quality ingredients. Excellent service. Clean, stylish and friendly café - looking forward to eating here again.

The food and staff are wonderful we ate our first meal of the day here all 5 days we were visiting. The breakfast and lunch items we ate were prepared and presented in a professional manner by a very friendly staff at a reasonable price Hands down the best food experience in Aberfeldy Scotland

Great meal and nice style. Only downside was they took the liberty to add a 10% surcharge for the four of us of a non bank holiday day. They offered to remove it but it should never have been added. Somewhat took away the pleasure of the meal as I kept thinking if that not the great lunch.

The toasted sandwiches were clearly out of a packet- as when asked if we could have something removed/modified we were told that it wasn’t possible as they just come in shop like that and put in the toasting machine

Good service, food was overpriced for what it was, sandwich came out a packet and was £10, not worth it imo

We visited at 3 pm on Sunday, and though due to closing at 3.30 pm, we were warmly welcomed in to take a seat. Ham & Three Cheese Toastie was a delicious combo on crunchy toasted bread - hit the spot on a cold, drizzly Sunday afternoon after a long walk. The cake selection is also plentiful - we opted for the sticky toffee apple crumble cake served with a generous side of cream. Service was friendly and fast.

Went in with a friend after a munro camping trip, had a ham and cheese toasties with fries. Food is really good, staff very friendly price was fair.

We stopped in for a coffee after walking the dogs nearby. As always, there was a really warm welcome from Mike and the team, and a bowl of water for the dogs. The coffee was exquisite.

Lovely spot, friendly staff and delicious food. I had the breakfast toasty with tomato and canellini bean soup, and it was all absolutely delicious (good quality sausages!), my partner had the loaded fies and they were delicious, lovely contrast of smokey bacon and fresh spring onion, and not greasy like a lot of fries are! Plus, rosemary fries, heck yes! Service was also very quick despite being full, very happy and if we didn't live several hundred miles away, we'd be coming back all the time!

The most welcoming dog friendly cafe we have been to. We went while staying a weekend away with our dog. The staff are great and food delicious. We were planning to go back during stay but had a change of plans. We will definitely be back when up that way again.

Lovely little spot in Aberfeldy. Discovered whilst trying to find somewhere for breakfast which they do. Scrambled eggs were delicious and my partner enjoyed his breakfast roll. Coffee was also excellent. Went back a second day for some more coffee and were greeted with a welcome back from the staff and some local chat. Live music started up as we were leaving which was a really nice touch. It's a small cafe but one that offers alot - would recommend.

A decent place, slightly expensive, they also ask to leave tips, which is really bad and tourist oriented. It's already expensive (£10 for a sandwich), asking directly for tips is not a great customer experience. UPD: tipping is ok. What's not okay is to create an awkward situation when a customer is asked for tips. It creates pressure because it's hard to say no. I doubt that this part of the service was never thought about, meaning you might intentionally put pressure on the customers. UPD2: Sorry, I didn't want to be mean. That's why I said "you might put", instead of "you put". And yes, I was directly asked to leave a tip, I don't remember the phrasing exactly, but the member of your team just asked me something like "Would you like to include a service fee of N%?". The pressure is right there, for many people it would be hard to say no, even if they don't want to leave tips. What really mean is appealing to my origin. I left my family and my friends because I don't want to be a part of this and because I don't want to pay taxes for this war to continue, and you have no right to tell me things you said. I made the sacrifice I could to stop that. I'll change the rating form 3 starts to 5 stars so you won't bother anymore. Have a great day. Also, I didn't say no and paid for the service.

We had a wee drive up over the Glen and ended up in Aberfeldy at the weekend. Kids were hungry as usual so we spotted the habitat cafe and popped in for a late lunch. Kids had toasties which they enjoyed and the little one had a sandwich. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious and we shared a huge plate of loaded fries. Cakes looked so good but unfortunately I was too full after the chips. I’ll have to come back another day for cake. Milkshakes for kids and lovely coffees and tea for the adults. The staff were lovely. Also the cafe was very cosy which is always a bonus in this weather.

Habitat Cafe's recent venture into the world of burger nights has left us with an undeniable craving for more. From the perfectly executed smash burgers to the warm and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of the experience has us eagerly anticipating the next round. The star of the show undoubtedly lies in the smash burgers, and Mike's handcrafted patties take center stage. No burger night would be complete without the perfect sidekick, and Habitat Cafe delivers with their well-seasoned french fries. We sincerely hope that Mike continues to trail the burger nights at Habitat Cafe because we, along with many others, would undoubtedly be back for more. The combination of smash burgers done right, Mike's handcrafted patties, the wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and those delectable french fries makes for an experience that's not to be missed. Kudos to Habitat Cafe for raising the bar on burger nights – a culinary journey that we eagerly anticipate continuing.

Over priced, venue was HOT ! No aircon ir air flow. Git kids fish and chips...worst fish we've ever had! So over cooked it was like jerky. No dressing on the salad just dry pre made coldslaw mix. Nothing exciting. Waste of money.
