My other half booked B&B for one night, just for the hell of it. I’ve given our stay a 5 ⭐️ review. The setting is lovely, service was excellent, plenty of staff, they were all lovely & very attentive, we also had dinner, the menu is not extensive but the choice was fine and the food when it arrived was excellent, clearly all home made & delicious, the biggest fish & chips I think we have ever seen! 😆 Our room was very snug, barely enough space to walk around the bed, there were tea & coffee facilities in the room but the funky lighting made it a bit difficult to get to the tea tray easily, no chairs, only the bed to sit on and the en suite had a sliding door, which I feel always indicates space is tight. The bathrooom was small but modern, clean and the shower was full sized, the towels were big, soft and luxurious, what more do you need. There were the usual hotel noises from other guests, we could hear those above us walking about, water running, etc. I think we were just jealous because 3 steps and we were in our en suite, 2 steps to the door, no opportunity to move about. 😂 However, come night time we slept really well, not a single noise before 7:30ish and no sound from outside or cars at all. All in all 5 ⭐️ are deserved, despite the small room, we don’t stay somewhere to sit in our room and the service, staff and food were all faultless. Would we stay again -absolutely.

Staff friendly. The best resource in the tired place. 2nd visit in a few months as in the area. Previous visit. Venue was very limited first time due to delivery issue of chicken. This time arrived at very start of lunch service. If I had looked at the carpet first- I wouldn't have ordered. Even my husband said it looked as if it hadn't been hoovered for weeks. It looked rank and had very visible debris. If this is the public facing area, I cringe as to the state of the kitchen. The play area was closed weekdays due to staff shortage- in school holidays. This is false evonomy.. Witnessed at least 2 grouos leave because of this which means lost revenue. The 2 for 1 mains deal is misleading. The mains differ significantly from those on the main menu. Eg smothered chicken barely covered and no coleslaw. Prob worth the money but would have preferred more cheese/ bbq sauce and trimmings so should have paid more. The toilet sinks look dire.. The sealant round them looks shocking and makes you more aware of just how run down the place is elsewhere.

Dinner was delicious. The fish pie was amazing and the veggie burger was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and we had a nice time. Great views over the Loch.

My mum has been diagnosed with caelics disease, and uts been hard to find places to eat. I called the waterwheel and the staff were so friendly and informative. When we arrived we were shown to our table and my mum was given a double sided gluten free menu. She was over the moon. There was so much choice, and we returned the next week to try something else on the menu. Well done, Waterwheel

Mackays was absolutely the best fish and chips I had tasted in years. The portions were very generous, and the menu was surprisingly wide-ranging too.

Had booked a table for 2 adults and 2 kids for Sunday lunch (carvery). Arrived and stood waiting for about 10mins before we were seated. Had a sinking feeling at this point as the place is v dated and there seemed to be little staff on. Initially only 1 behind the carvery and another who was on the bar and serving. We were taken to our table and left. Sat for 10 mins waiting for our order to be taken. Another table arrived with a new waiter and I overheard them being told to order at the bar. I caught waiter and checked this. Queued at bar where we had another wait and then finally got to carvery. A family ahead of us had given up by this point and plates half full asked for their money back. We persevered. Food was ok. Plates were cold and portions of meat were tiny. Extremely disappointed in our experience and would not go back. Do not recommend.

This is the last Brewers Fayre in Scotland i hadn't visited (now that they have closed the Glasgow ones) So i needed an excuse to tick it off. I was staying next door. The staff were very friendly , there weren't that many but they still seemed to be everywhere and on hand when needed. It wasn't that busy that evening but more did come in throughout the visit. The food service was quick and the meal was tasty. Just disappointed you have now got new kitchen doors which don't match the other ones with pentagon shaped windows! The area we sat in had clearly been freshened up recently with newpaint and carpets.

Went in for a a family 50th party, on my 2nd drink I ordered a Vodka ginger ale and fresh lime , however when I tasted it I was given cordial, as this was only my 2nd drink of the night and was still sober I asked the bar person to please change for the correct drink and she actually told me to F@## off, I asked to speak to a manager and she said no, so I politely asked for a refund and went back to join my family, the bar person asked a steward to say she felt threatened and I explained I was polite throughout, at that the steward asked me to leave ands requested by management and asked for the reason which wasn't given which I did without any conflict or raised voice. Totally embarrassing and will not return, such great music, only to be let down by poor staff and terrible customer service. Also understand as I have worked In the entertainment industry that staff need to feel safe , however I was never aggressive at any point and if Management was to check Thier cameras the would clearly see the same There is no contact mail address to make my complaint on hence adding this review

This is a brief review of my experience. It was Saturday 2nd November and my wife decided to have a spot of lunch at the Glendoick garden centre cafe. Upon arriving the queue was not too bad and the wait only 20 mins or so. My wife ordered the fish and chips and I ordered a cheeseburger. approx 20 mins later the food arrived. My cheese burger was the most rubbery disc of processed, well I don't know what, shall I politely say it was not edible. The fish on the other hand was fresh and quite palatable. The staff thanked me for bringing the matter to their attention. Upon arriving back home I felt most unwell.

Arrived yesterday at lunchtime. Found a table and sat down ordered our lunch and waited. Staff were sitting at a table next to us having a meeting in an iPad it was so loud everyone could hear the team meeting ie profits, who was the best pubs, and who needs to pull their socks up. This was really poor practice from staff. Meal arrived and it was terrible.. dirty fries were fries only! Toastie was that flat it was like a frisbee my partner had a burger and chips that was also poor. My opinion was McDonald’s across the road would have been better.

Please be aware they operate a new parking monitor and send charges through the post for £50+ if they deem your stay as unauthorised. This well sign posted and appears to built in a way to trap innocent people stopping in the car park for a short time. Very upset that this large company has decided to go down this path to make a profit.

Seriously surprised by some of these reviews. Popped by yesterday with my kids so we could try some local fish and chips as a takeaway. They were absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order (smoked haddock and chips). Kids demolished the lot! And that's after a free lolly from their witch 😁 Staff were so super friendly that I was threatening to leave my youngest to help with the dishes. Definitely not the cheapest chippy I've had but it is what it is, you get what you pay for. All the prices are clearly stated before you order any food so the bill shouldn't be any surprise at the end. Thanks for a great lunch. When we are back over that side we will definitely pop in again 😊
