Brewers Fayre Monifieth Farm in Angus

It was for our birthday girl. The staff was lovely. The price is good. Food lovely and big variety of it. Tge only issue the service was not good. We had to help Zoe. One perso only for such bug facilities is not acceptable.

We had a brilliant birthday party, kids were delighted with the delicious food. Big thanks to the whole team, and specially to Zoe.

Took grandson who is 5 to play area at Monifieth brewers fayre .we had unlimited coffees while he played he really enjoyed it .

Amazing! Had a table booked for later and came in and asked on the off chance a table would be free. The staff were so accomodating and fitted us in. And we had a birthday in our party and they put the candles in the pudding! Above and beyond!

Had our son’s 5th party with 18 friends - preparation were great, buffet food choice excellent and staff could not do enough for us! Everyone had a blast!! Could not recommend enough!!

The whole place seemed utter chaos during our visit. My husband was over 20 minutes in the queue to order for 5 of us around 12.30pm - apparently staff were 'having their lunch after a party'.....at the busiest time for a restaurant. Our food did not all come at the same time, we had to clear our own table to make room for coffees/desserts. Ladies toilets beside the play area were blocked and having told a staff member at 12.00 noon when we arrived, they were still the same at 14.15pm when we left. Food was ok, but shall think twice before visiting again.

We came here twice on a recent trip to Dundee as our first visit was so good. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our daughter has a dairy allergy and this was taken very seriously as soon as we came in as we were provided with a folder documenting all of the allergens in each meal which gave us peace of mind and made ordering much easier. Staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, especially our kids who are 4 and 1. The manager spent time talking to them and gave them some toys to play with which they were very happy with. All of our food was lovely and the kids 3 course meal for £5.99 was extremely good value. We stopped for lunch on our return journey and both kids got to play at the soft play which they really enjoyed as there was plenty for all ages. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially those with children for lovely food, great value and fantastic, welcoming staff!

We had our daughters 5th Birthday party at the soft play it was the best party ever our party host Zoe was fantastic couldn’t fault it one bit she was amazing went out her way for us the whole day. All the kids had a great time and so many ppl told us how good the party was we had a buffet style party and there was soo much food still left over was amazing would definitely recommend 100 per cent for a kids party here!

Went for lunch at the weekend and we had a nice meal for 2 adults and 2 children. Children’s meal deal is good, they get a starter, main and pudding for £5.99. Plenty of nice choices on the main menu too. The kids enjoyed playing at the soft play area too which is £4.50 per child. We were served by Alex and Nicole who were so polite and attentive- great service. The place was lovely and cosy. We enjoyed our visit.

Good service, kitchen a little slow but nice food when it arrived. Kids loved the play area which was clean and not too cold.

Booked here for Xmas Dinner, when making booking I made it quite clear that I was a wheelchair user and my friend was blind with a guide dog we were placed right at the back of the restaurant and to get to the table other tables had to move to let me in and out also it was never stated on there Xmas menu that it would be a carvery service I couldn't leave the table without disturbing other people asked a waitress to assist and Almost 45 mins for my food which came cold totally ruined my Xmas lunch there was no space for my friends guide dog either will definitely not be back.

Bar area was cold and when member of staff was asked to put on the heating the response was that the heating was on “ in the building “ and it would “ circulate through “ There was no heat at all from the radiators or a hot air vent in the bar area and we wore our coats throughout our brief and cold visit. Oddly enough the draught beer and the wine from the fridge were both warm and all in all it was very poor show considering drinks aren’t exactly cheap. Staff seemed to be short staffed but it wasn’t a good experience unfortunately

We booked for Boxing Day at 4pm. There was not alot of people in the restaurant, set menu with alot of items not available not great when it's a small set menu and when I asked if I could order from the normal menu I was told no. Most of the food was burnt and the brussel sprouts were so over cooked they had lost all colour and were almost white. Staff were very nice. Especially kids area woman she was great with the kids.

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my Scampi and the Banoffee Cheesecake was gorgeous. At breakfast, sadly, the coffee machine was broken (again) and this did spoil things. However, on the whole, we were happy 😊

Had a delicious 2 course lunch from the festive menu. Served by Victoria, who was friendly and welcoming…nothing was too much bother! The food I believe was cooked by George the chef and it was hot, generously sized and very tasty! Recommended! Well done Team Monifieth!

Alex and rest of staff were very helpful and helped make our experience a good one. Trouble was getting kids to eat as they were having to much fun in play area.

Food wasn't very good. Burnt chicken and wasn't hot enough. But Nicole (brown hair) was very kind and chatty! And was lovely to my wee boy (8) he loved her. So sweet. Would visit again because of great service from her :)

I frequently stay in premier inns and eat in the adjoining restaurants, this brewers fayre is definitely one of the better ones to eat in, the food was very good and the service was excellent by the staff, who were very polite and friendly especially Alex who I was served by, I would definitely return to eat here again if I was staying next door.

Louisa our server was brilliant and really looked after us. We were a big group and she couldn't have been more helpful.

We are just back from having my aunties wake at the restaurant today, wonderful experience and the staff are extremely accommodating!! I used to work here so I know all the staff members and I can’t fault any of them, not just because they’re my friends but because they’re brilliant at what they do. Nothing was too much bother for them, they went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after, the staff here are like family to me. Lara, Millie, Kurt, Lou and Amy were on shift today and made sure our day was that extra bit special, thankyou so so so much to each and everyone one of you that made tonight the best, Lesley would’ve been looking down with the biggest smile on her face.

Attended a Wake here today and Kurt and his staff could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble and they all went above and beyond to make a difficult time go smoothly.

I traveled a very long distance to this restaurant to attend a pre-booked family birthday celebration, only to find when we arrived that the doors were locked, with a note on the door saying they were only serving hotel guests, due to staff shortages. No attempt was made to contact me to say that the restaurant was closed, and when I complained to customer services, all they could say is "Rest assure this has been logged internally and will be picked up for review. Again, our deepest apologies." Surely, if there was sufficient staff to cook for, and serve some guests, then bookings should have been honored, but, faced with a locked door, we had no choice but to go to the nearby Bell Tree Inn instead. Very disappointed with Brewers Fayre, and their lack of interest in finding out what had gone wrong. Yes, I'm grateful for the apology, but it just doesn't feel enough after a 200 mile journey!

This spot was fabulous. Kurt seated us. He checked that everything was okay with our meal. Overall the staff were excellent, they were kind and polite. Food was perfect.

We booked Brewer's Fayre for our son's birthday party because he had been to a friend's party there recently and it was good fun. Two hours on the softplay equipment + hot buffet party food. We had booked for 25 kids, so they had prepared enough food for that number (tons of pizza, garlic bread, nuggets, chips, veg sticks, corn cobs, etc.) but unfortunately only 10 could come. In the end we were only charged for the 10 and we still got our deposit back. Really grateful to the manager and her lovely staff for doing that for us. Very happy to recommend.
