The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

Reasonable service but disappointing food. Pizza was like flatbread with tomato sauce, 3 lumps of cheese and cut up chicken chucked on top. Sides of red cabbage and Brussel sprouts ok but all other menu items ordered were disappointing.

Great little pub, cosy and welcoming. Bit wary of the food, we sat where we could see the so called chef microwaving the food. Dressed in hoodie and jeans drinking can of Monster. Reflection in microwave of him biting his nails and picking his nose. Rather unpleasant! Barman nice and friendly, definitely go for a drink and maybe ask to see the chef first

It was a last drink stop after my birthday day out. My first visit there and found it to be a traditional type pub. Staff friendly and pub cosy.

Just wanted to say an extra special thank you to the staff for assisting my boyfriend after he fell and split his head open on the street last night. They were exceptional and really took the time to come out and look after us and make sure he was okay until paramedics arrived. Big thank yous to everyone who helped 🙏

Food was cold and was late by an hour my break was only half an hour so never even got to eat the food shocking

Centrally located on the Royal mile so we called in here as we were tired and hungry and thirsty only had some cokes and loaded fries one pornstar martini (which wasn’t great) but the food was really nice and hit the spot. Nice atmosphere and interior

Great gastro pub - excellent food, drink & service. Best work Christmas meal I think I've ever eaten. Hardly mass catering as we'd been reduced to a table of four and all had the veggie haggis Wellington. Only one proper vegetarian amongst us but it really was excellent. A consolation in troubled times.

Great we find after being at the rum festival in the assembly rooms in October. We had a delicious meal sharing pulled beef Nachos to start they were the best ever!! I had the garlic chicken schnitzel which was really tasty, my bro had fish n chips which looked the biz. Delicious food washed down with innes & gunn. We shall be back again thanks 😊

Staff were fantastic especially Carolyn. Food was lovely would have liked a separate menu for people who do not want carvery. Even a small menu.

Always go here for breakfast you can't get any better for the range and price

We went here for our work Christmas party and it's an amazing looking venue. The food was lovely, although generic Christmas food. The bar was well staffed and I never had a problem getting a drink. A great venue for many occasions, I'll definitely be back.
