So this is the nearest boozer to Dundee Train Station. It's small and very cosy. Some outdoor summer seating. All walks of life. Great no BS staff. None of that matters though. The Guinness is absolutely spot on. Mate just back from Dublin said he couldn't taste any difference.

Great wee pub but gets very busy at the weekend. No food served.

Has to be the worst pub in Dundee. It's filthy and absolutely stinks of urine. Landlord stands wrong side of the bar. His manager is loud, vulgar and hates feedback about this dump...no disabled facilities. Won't be back....a complete shot hole.

Good down to earth pub, popped in for a couple of drinks only. Bar staff were friendly.

Went to club bar after scotland beating Norway they refused me and my friends entry because we were wearing scotland tops disgraceful totally ruined our night out will never step foot ever again in club bar there anti Scottish pathetic

Popped in for a pint while the wife was doing some shopping, nice little boozer and helpful staff.

Felt quite comfy some decent people and friendly ladies behind the bar all in all I went in there a few times because I liked it otherwise I'd of not bothered so yes very decent bar for me and will go there again on next visit definitely ❤️

Last stop before getting on the train back to Glasgow. No beer worth drinking so we had gins. Toilets could use a cleaning.

Staff were awesome. Plenty drink choices. Come karaoke, which we butchered but that was our singing not their songs

Visited Friday night,quite quiet when we arrived 4 of us friends night away from Glasgow just wanted wee karaoke bar,got a seat up back,having a great time till all locals arrived fair enough it’s there pub but as night went on we got pushed further and further down the seats till my friend eventually said to the lady can you move up we where here first but your pushing us of out seats,then for her to storm upto the bar,for security then to come to us and tell us to leave, then we found out later from bar staff she was part owner so what chance did we have,so if your not a local don’t go,our whole night was ruined and we were celebrating our friends 50th birthday shocking.

The bar where 7 foot tall men cry if you take there seat cause they don't work and went to the toilet and a working woman dared sit on their seat...tip

Liked the music and the beer, but locals seemed a bit aloof for Dundee.

Good pint of lager and reasonable prices, staff was friendly and pub was clean and tidy. Used this pub a lot while I had a 3 night stay in Sleeperz Hotel across the road. When back in Dundee will give this pub another visit.

Visited last week -good fun at the Kareoke -&- Was there again last night (15/08/19)- Had a fab night with some of the regular customers there - it was quite ,so I made the most by performing a few songs at the Kareoke. Fun...!!

Normally very busy, standing room only. Cheap drinks, good measures. Locals always chat. Have been in when some bad singers have totally enjoyed themselves.

We visited here on both nights of our stay in Dundee, it’s a tiny typical old mans pub but they fair pack the drinkers in. The locals were friendly. At times it was far too busy and the stench from the toilets which were right in the middle of the bar was foul however the staff were pleasant, the drinks were cheap and the karaoke was entertaining to say the least, if you don’t mind standing the full night then it’s the place to be but if you want a set you need to be in early.

They said the locals wouldn't talk to me, but they did and how. the locals are great even though I'm from America they treated me like I was royalty. But also pay it back when you visit these places. great place to have a beer and relax and have a great selection so just choose one to your liking.

Nice little venue in the heart of town and very popular.

Busy with limited seating but the beer was OK. Food is freezer to fryer, nothing to write home about.

We liked it. I note the mixed reviews. This is not a tourist spot so if you want a theme or fancy pub this isn’t it. It’s a simple real bar where - mainly - locals drink. A spot of racing on the box and a decent cheap pint. Staff on our visit helpful. Great location; a couple of minutes from V&A. No toilet issues yesterday or today.

Very noisy when we were in. The service and beer along with the prices were good. I can see why it was so busy.

very busy, if not a local can not get served any kind of refreshments, far too crowded, terrible karoke host, foul smell from toilets, which did not seem to bother the locals, maybe that is why the majority of customers where very drunk, this bar needs a full refurbishment, asked for more ice with my drink, got a foul look look from barmaid, just a terrible 1st visit, will not be back, 1st time to visit Dundee, will avoid this bar every time, thankfully not all bars in Dundee are like this one

This is almost a step back in time, great old man's type pub. The staff are wonderful, helpful and know how to pour a pint. An added bonus is they serve up 35ml shots, and it is extremely reasonably priced. Almost half the price compared to some of the more upmarket establishments. It isn't posh, but it is good value for money. Can get busy though!

Can't give a review of inside premises as was abruptly told at front door by Door staff "too busy" when clearly not. We were formally dressed, neither disruptive nor under influence having just came off a train journey. We moved on to a number of other local hostelrys. Others will have to review inside of pub.

This was our third visit to this bar. Previous 2 times were good, however this visit was extremely disappointing!! The bar was busy and everything was going great until my wife's jacket was stolen off her seat while she was singing karaoke. Another customer who had just caught the Thief trying to steal her jacket approached us to say she witnessed the lady stealing my wife's jacket too. On approach to the security staff on the door I explained the situation and told them that the lady had just a minute before left the premises and they knew straight away who she was but were sure that as this lady was a regular customer she would never do such a thing. I asked them if they could try and contact her and get her to bring the jacket back but they refused and said they had no contact details for her. That was until I contacted the police to report the theft. When the lady who almost fell victim to the same Thief went to the bar with me to explain the what she seen and had a good description of the lady and I noticed the CCTV was pointing at my wife's seat and told the barmaid I phoned the police.The barmaid went outside to speak to the security staff and asked if they could contact her because the police were now involved, one of the door men then said he had a phone number for her after telling me they had no way of contacting her! They then attempted to contact her so I went back inside, and low and behold within 5 minutes my wife's jacket appeared from behind the bar with one of the barmaids holding it and presenting it to us! Although we got it back I feel had I not contacted the police we would never have seen it again. Having previously enjoyed visiting this bar all of that was wiped away with this visit and the complete ignorance of the staff to help at first. My wife was so upset she wanted to depart Dundee that night and head home having felt this ruined our anniversary. So long and short of it, if your fond of your possessions and do not want them stolen by a regular to the bar then avoid this place like the plague.

Called in for a pint while staying in the Malmaison Hotel across the road. It's a local bar and offers the chance to meet the real people of Dundee enjoying a drink after work. Nothing special about the place but the staff were friendly enough and they served a decent pint of beer. Cheap prices.

An old fashioned but comfortable bar, excellently situated near the railway station, the town centre and the newly opened V&A. The bar had 2 televisions and was therefore good for watching sports. The clientele were boisterous but friendly. The service however could have been better, I had to interject when a queue jumper, who knew the barmaid by name tried to skip and 1 other person had trouble attracting the attention of the staff despite them being unbusy.
