Their pancakes only get better every time. I just hope they can improve their coffee taste.

Masterful pancakes, lovely smoothies and overwhelmingly massive big breakfast (as it should be!). If you're needing a lovely weekend breakfast, this is the best place in the area.

Our family visited today was shocked at what we received as a banoffee stack there was only 4 very finely cut circles of banana and a very small about of chocolate flake sprinkled on top for 12,99 we ordered two off these between the two stacks we didn't even get a quarter of banana I don't think we got value for money definitely won't be back

I had a short business lunch here and took my two little dogs with me. It's a place that I'm used to visiting because my wife and I often met here for lunch when we both worked in Dundee. The food was good, especially the pancakes and the mac-and-cheese, and the milkshakes were tasty as usual. All the staff we encountered gave us good service. The dogs got their own bowl of water, and a lot of the customers wanted to see them too, which always makes a place even more dog friendly. It's every bit as good as I remember it when we used to visit regularly pre-covid so we'll be going back.

Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday lunchtime. I had the sriracha chicken stacker, which was fantastic. Maple sriracha sauce was delicious, great balance of heat and sweet. Only criticism was I’d like more bacon. Certainly add more if you enjoy bacon. But it was really crisp delicious streaky bacon which I love. Chicken was fresh and crispy

The menu's were grubby and greasy,I ordered fish and chip's which was very poor value (£12:99)I didn't complain at the time as I had others with me, I was very disappointed with the experience and I will not be back.

A good variety of food on the menu, not just pancakes, as the name suggests. I did however have American style pancakes with maple syrup and butter. Flavour was excellent. They were, however, a little tough, which suggests the batter was overworked (stirred one too many times I guess). My husband had the large brunch/breakfast. He was stuffed by the end! Nice staff. Friendly place. I'll go again if given the opportunity.

Every time my daughter wants to go to this place it’s absolutely woeful, they close off the areas near the window as the staff are lazy, they talk to you like you are an idiot, they grudgingly serve you, they can’t take an item off (for example my daughter doesn’t want the ice cream on the side ) Overall just a consistently woeful customer service, l don’t know how it continues to exist in a shopping centre that clearly charges a lot in rent

Pancake place has went downhill in my opinion. Both white and brown bread for the sandwiches was dry round the edges and didn't seem the freshest. Spicy tomato soup was like ordinary tinned tomato soup. Coffee wasn't as good as it used to be. Asked for gluten free bread but she said it would have to be toasted as it was in the freezer. Very disappointed overall.

Have to say... The pancakes were amazzzinnggg and well worth the visit. The stacker options are huge! If you love your pancakes, it's certainly worth the visit. Not as "trendy" as the likes of large firms such as Stack and Still but I'd certainly say the pancakes were so much better at The Pancake Place.

Very cosy and quiet atmosphere, great for a quick bite to eat or a more intimate meeting. Staff very quick to serve and observant of your needs. Food was very tasty with a good range and very reasonably priced.

Love it 🤩but unfortunately I couldn't get a kids portion,even after I explained that I couldn't manage a small adult one,that's 2 big pancakes, means I won't be coming back 😔

Had the Scottish breakfast and chose pancakes instead of potato scone and toast. The usual breakfast items were fine, sausages were the best part. The 3 super tiny pancakes were stale and underwhelming. Didn't even eat them. Disappointed as it's called the Pancake Place.

Had a craving for pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Went for the chicken as well with sriracha maple syrup and was very good.

Absolutely deelush. I wish we could have the same in Aberdeen but the rates would be good high.

Service was lovely, waitresses were all really nice, however for the price the quality of food was not enough. We ordered pancakes with chicken tenders and bacon, a veggie burger and two milkshakes. The burger was fine but the menu stated it came with fries & coleslaw but it only came with fries. The pancakes did not seem to be made in house and the chicken tenders were just frozen ones, for upwards of £10. The milkshakes were just flavoured with syrup and were so strong we couldn’t drink them. The meal came to £32 for food that honestly was not worth it. Save your money and get a maccies

I had Classic Burger...dascribed as with salad and fries. Salad consisted of scrap of lettuce and thin slice of tomato. Burger tasted cheap and not tasty. I had a Pepsi and when it came to paying I discovered the Pepsi cost £3.80p. Total bill was £ 14.75p. I consider that this was grossly overpriced. When I lived in Dundee I often ate at the Pancake Place but never again. I'll be across the road in McDonald's next time. FYI...Coke in McDonalds costs 97p for Regular and £1.47p for Large.

Always great for a nostalgia hit going to the pancake place and today was no exception, always friendly staff, the pancakes haven't changed, and it's always a clean, comfy place to sit.

We had a fantastic breakfast today- quality home cooked food, friendly service, and a great location!

I found this place on a dreary day while in Dundee attending to a family emergency. I was lonely, anxious, and pretty miserable. I ordered the banoffee pancakes and they worked magic. Comfort food in a casual place made me feel so much better! Since that visit I have been back several times on subsequent visits to Dundee. The staff, while not super friendly, is attentive. The food has been consistent each time and is appropriately priced for the portion received.

Great place for a decent meal for a decent price. Pancake desserts may kill with sweetness so be prepared.

Don"t know why stopped coming to this place for so long as the food is divine Went with a few family members and we all had the summer special "you"ve been mangoed" pancakes Not a fan of mango,but they were delicious,as was the mango sauce and of course with cream Toilets are on one level and very adaptable for those in wheelchairs/ have mobillity problems Great menu and they do much more than just pancakes Will be returning next week,as my friend from edinburgh is coming to visit and she wants to go

I would say having been coming to the Pancake Place over the last 10 years, once every other month, it has sadly went very badly down hill. My wife and I visited with our 12 year old daughter. On arrival we were seated quickly and our drinks order taken within a few minutes. We received our drinks - 2 diet pepsi which were not fizzy (clearly issue with draft) and a smoothie which was very tasty and refreshing. There were maybe about 4 or 5 tables occupied, so for a lunchtime I thought "why is it so quet". Anyway, my wife and daughter both ordered the macaroni and I ordered the fish and chips. We received our food within about 5-6 mins which made me question that alot of the food must have just been simply reheated! The macaroni was insipid and lacked seasoning and my fish was about half the size of the normal portion I was used to getting. I questioned this with the server and he went to the kitchen only to return to advise that they can't control the size of the portions they receive from their supplier!? The fish was definitely small enough to be a child's portion. I requested why don't they just give me an extra portion of the fish to which he replied. "Sorry can't do that but we can remove the meal from your bill". They did ask if I would like an alternative from the menu but by this point my wife and daughter had already eaten half of their meal so I wasn't willing to make them wait any longer. In addition to this we were not given any cutlery until after we were served our food. Both my wife and daughter said they did not enjoy their food but it was edible. I returned my plate to the kitchen and received a credit off the bill. Sorry but £12 for what was basically a kids portion of fish, a handful of chips and a rotten looking side salad, it is very overpriced for what you get. None of us will be returning here. Quite sad really given it was always such a friendly, busy and quality cafe. Owners - please do better!

We haven’t been to this place for a long time We were greeted with a great smile and felt welcomed Not just pan cakes lots more too Cappuccinos were very good Hot Dogs American Style and with very fries too My better half had a Banana and everything Pancake ( see pictures ) It’s right opposite a MacDonalds so would think everyone would head over there But this a Happy Place you are served at your table and lots of good items on the menu for everyone Every member of staff we encountered were smiling and obviously happy to be there So from now on when in the City Centre This will be our 😃 happy place from now on when in town My wife used to meet here years ago when my Son was at University and my Daughter worked in town so it’s well established in Dundee

On entering restaurant had difficulty manoeuvring my wheelchair through the 2 doors at entrance. Once inside there is really only one table for a wheel chair to go so we sat there other customers also went and chose their seats a member of staff quite cheeky said that we should have waited to be seated the place has just opened so it wasn’t like they were struggling to seat people. All in all food was good but some staff’s attitudes needs adjusting.

Great spot for brunch before shopping. Breakfast deal was great and tasty. Pancake stack a tad pricey but very good. Staff were polite ,only thing I would say is nobody came to ask of everything was OK during the meal.

Nice place to go for breakfast or pancakes . Can be a bit noisy. sometimes you might have to wait . Make sure you have some cash as the place isn’t cheap . With all that said I will definitely be back

Absolutely awful meal here. My husband and I decided to stop off for lunch after noticing the menu did savoury lunches as well. We both got loaded chips. Loaded with rubbish! I got the bbq chicken ones. Standard oven chips I could have got myself from Aldi, topped with cheap grated cheese, chicken chunks that looked and tasted like the cold cooked chicken from the packets out of Aldi that tasted dreadful, and it was all absolutely drowned in a horribly watery bbq sauce. I think I managed about 10 chips. My husband got the other loaded chips, and while they weren't drenched in a sauce, they were just as bad. And they charged a tenner for each! I would absolutely skip this place and get a better meal at McDonalds down the road next time!

What an absolute dog-friendly gem of a place in Dundee city centre. We were met with typical Scottish (one of the staff is, like me, Irish!) friendliness, hospitality and service from the moment we arrived. This place has a great day-time menu and offers something for everyone. We both had the Scottish breakfast complete with pancakes. Our canine companion was looked after too and was fussed by staff and visitors alike. I would strongly recommend here for a bite to eat. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back. Thanks again to the staff - you were great!

£11 for a sandwich and there was hardly anything in it. Horrible frozen chips. asked for regular coke and she served us large so we are charged. Won't be back

Been here before during Covid and we sat outside, which to be honest was better! The acoustics inside were terrible, it made it very hard to hear and have a conversation. The menu choice was good, hubby ordered burger and chips which he said were good, but not the best. I had the blueberry pancakes which came with more cream than pancake! They were good but I've had better. The whole bill seemed a bit on the expensive side, if the prices were slightly less, the food a bit better then I might give 5 stars. Overall I'd come back again but only if I can sit outside!

Amazing food and service! I had a lovely meal with my partner and was served by Sam who was an absolute delight. Was very helpful and made the experience very enjoyable.

First time here in years and we had a lovely breakfast! I had the pancakes, bacon and syrup, and my husband had the full cooked breakfast. Both were really nice, the staff were very friendly-nice spot for brekkie.

I took my elderly mum into the pancake place today. The burgers and chips were OK but not worth £10 each. I found that the PP is not equipped for the disabled . No disabled toilet. On entry to the toilets we had the difficulty of opening two doors before accessing the toilet .

Its OK, good pancake and quick service. Chips undercooked, lots of staff but they dont fully clean table areas before passing onto guests - debris under table from kids, staff covering multiple stations so had multiple staff asking same questions. Stick to the pancakes.

Great place for a coffee and more.

First time eating here in many years. Served promptly & food didn't take too long and we ate it all.

Visited on Friday past, didn’t think place was that clean, decor is a bit dated. Ordered 2 cheese and ham toasties and a coffee and a juice, no marks for presentation thrown on a plate with a quarter of a tomato and a couple bits of onion and some lettuce and crisps, did not look appetising but was edible, almost £19 won’t be back in a hurry.

What a lovely, peaceful, friendly, accessible place. They arranged some takeaway of home cooked tasting pancakes which were delicious. Would definitely go again for a larger meal!

Wife got veggie hotdog she said it was a little dry.. I got philly steak sandwich which was fine ..Food was hot and served very quickly..Staff very pleasant..Although there was a shortage of some items I noticed a couple of customers walking out...overall a reasonable experience for us ..

Stumbled across this place, looked quite nice from the outside. But the food was horrible, breakfast was £10 and i got a spoonful of beans & mushrooms, dry over cooked scrambled eggs, and cremated sausages. It was inedible. All i actually managed to eat was the toast! Absolute rip off. We also got chocolate milkshakes that were just milk with choc powder put in, and it was luke warm. Would not recommend this place at all.

Went in for some brunch, service was okay but the food was shocking. Eggs so over cooked they looked like they were plastic, pancakes were basically anemic and only barely cooked, sausages barely cooked and the mushrooms were blacker than the night. Staff were overworked and looked clearly stressed. Clearly have kitchen staff who don’t care about quality of food or presentation.

Lovely scottish pancake brunch. Hit the spot. Could do with less oil on the fried egg, and a bit more of the mushrooms. The warm syrup for the pancakes was a good touch. Unsure whether we were served maple or golden syrup though. Was still a lovely treat.

I met my sister in the City and we went here for lunch. We used to come in here pre covid and get a lovely toastie but alas things have changed dramatically. We both ordered cheese and ham toastie and a latte and a diet Cooke large which cost something like £3.60 so not cheap. The drinks came the coke was flat. It was replaced by another with no ice this time. Then a couple of minutes later it went flat again. Then the food came. The cheese was caked on the sides but was the cheap bright orange number you can buy in budget supermarkets and with 2 slices of wafer thin ham . The salad was mostly lettuce with two little bits of cucumber which didn’t equate to a quarter of a slice. A side of red onion and a quarter tomato. This is served with plain fousty (soft) crisps. Now my bill was £22 . I could have fed half the street if I’d bought those ingredients at Lidl or Aldi. Whoever is ordering the food in, this is a false economy buying in cheap selling at profits. You will lose your customers. I’m gone

I was looking for a brunch place and this was a good find! However if you have any particular adjustments they were not very flexible. All I wanted was a few leaves instead of the roll with my soup. (Can't eat bread) The waitress looked like I'd asked her for a steak. The soup and sandwich comes with leaves and coleslaw. Why can't I have some leaves? Just a few?? Staff dint seem very happy. Maybe next time? I was sad. Premade pancakes for sure. Gonna try again. Fingers crossed.

I lived it myself and my neice were in and lived it used to be regular but gaunt been in fir a while and the standard of food is excellent

Have been here a few times with my other half. The customer service really needs to be worked on by some of the staff. The service is so slow and have often had food way before a glass of tap water has even been brought over. Not impressed and will not be returning

Good atmosphere , regular here, got charge today £1.20 for adding a tomatoes to a baguette even though , I wasn't getting chips with standard cost of a baguette, that is just ridiculous 🙄. Worst of all she only want 2 slices so the rest ended up in the bin .

Came here for a breakfast/brunch with my friends on pancake day. The place was absolutely packed but the staff were great at accommodating us, managed to squeeze us in and even to move to a bigger table when one became available. I had the Banoffee Stack which is my favourite from here. The pancakes are the best I've ever tasted, light and fluffy and not overbearing. Portion size is great, plenty of sauce and cream as well. Lovely cup of tea and the prices are fantastic for what you get! The place to go for pancakes!

The staff is quite impolite (at least one person who met us at the door). And in the end they forgot about our order, we waited for like 40 min and eventually had to walk out (after we confirmed that they indeed forgot about it) and have a meal somewhere else.

Different menu from my last visit before Covid. Staff gave enough time to look through menu before coming over, had the banana stack with hot toffee sauce and whipped cream. Was good. Place was quite busy, 2 staff manning floor. They've got waiting for table setup and new layout so no tables in middle area as before Covid, accessible tables are beside restaurant window.

Delicious pancakes, and loads to choose from the menu, all reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive.

One star is a bit too much for this place. Where shall we start? With members of the staff not interested of your obviously unhappy feedback? Burnt cheeseburger patty. Ehmm without cheese. When returned it came with grated cheese used for loaded fries. A hot dog that was supposed to have onion rings but arrived without it. Baked dry. Pavlova panckakes that have only some sprinkles of the thing? Huge delays? And again, when when I was asked how was it and started to tell about it they left me talking to the till. Awfull!!!

I had the banofee stack pancakes and it was delicious the place was empty but that was probably due to the time and day I visited. It was when a storm was happening. The cafe is clean tidy, well spaced out with booths to have your privacy and also warm. The staff were very pleasant and joy to talk to which is rare, certainly in my opinion. The pancakes we delicious and there was ample toffee sauce to go with the pancakes. I really, really enjoyed them! I also didn't feel rushed to pay and leave; I was left alone to warm myself next to the radiator as I was frozen, maybe thats because Im from the south. Price was very good under £10. Would definitely return for something different with a partner in crime in tow.

Food was lovely and service was great, we were served quickly. But disappointed to discover that you can't swap items in the brunch, and there is no vegan option, so if you buy the veggie brunch and are vegan then you have to pay full price for the brunch without an egg, and they're too stingy to throw on an extra tomato or anything to make up for it. What's worse is there was actually little bits of egg on the plate so clearly they had made it with an egg on it then took the egg off when they realised their mistake. So stupid.

They should concentrate on pancakes, as they are The pancake Place, as the rest was awful. One member off staff could do with customer service training, we weren't allowed to keep one menu (also bare in mind covid aswell) to order pancakes after our meal she was very rude. The other girls were very pleasant and friendly. So we left without ordering our 4 covers of pancakes, shame as I'm sure they would of been alot more enjoyable than our meals.

Took my son our for his lunch. Never had been before. Totally enjoyed my lunch there. Service was quick and the staff were really nice and friendly. Will be back sometime soon.

Very unhappy with my visit on the 31/10/2020, we order breakfast and there was 2 of us. One came okay and the other had hair in the food. We explained to the waiter straight away and she took the food and was going to get it sorted. I was finished my food before my partner got hers back which is a shocking way to have breakfast together. I went to pay the bill and they ask if everything was okay. I explained the hair in the food and the waiting time after and they said “sorry to hear that” nothing else and proceed to charge me the full total of the bill. Poor customer service from my option.

Pizza was nice and lemon risotto was amazing. My son liked eating burgers from here too.

Fresh pancakes with generous toppings served with nice drinks. Prices were reasonable and service was decent. Really good with the syrup too. So many places skimp here. Can't fault our breakfast. And given how busy it was within 30 minutes of opening we were not alone in appreciating it.

Visited the Pancake Place in Dundee today for the first time. Waitress who took our order was not very welcoming and I ordered soup and a sandwich. After I noted that she had written ham for my sandwich, I informed her I wanted cheese too, which she noted. My soup eventually arrived 5 minutes after my companions, and the soup was really cool, not even warm, and no sandwich. A waitress took my soup away and after a few minutes returns with the same bowl! Although hot....obviously microwaved. The first Waitress arrived with my sandwich and told me she hadn't made any mistake and I hadn't asked initially for this. There was no flicker of apology and I believe that she has trouble smiling, even with a mask on. Another customer arrived at the next table and removed her coat, nearly swiping the long awaited sandwich and no doubt swiping some of my unwanted coleslaw on her coat. My sandwich was very bland and was served with dirty, old lettuce and a serving of coleslaw which was on the bread. I hate coleslaw so had to remove some of the bread to eat this. Very unsatisfied with the service.
