Visited for a birthday. The food was OK, lots of different choice on the menus. Cocktails were really good - highly recommend strawberry daiquiri. Unfortunately service lets the place down just now. Evident that there’s lots of new staff/ staff that arn’t familiar with their role.

My family and i had booked the private room here for christmas day, which included paying a deposit. On the 22nd of December they decide to phone up and tell us that they are no longer to accommodate what we had paid for. Having this little notice, 3 days before christmas, has left us struggling for what to do. We are appalled.

Was escorted a table for 5pm booking. Staff were still hoovering around tables. Ordered a lovely starter of chicken liver Paté. Very tasty. Sadly, didn't get a chance to finish. Staff brought mains to table mid scoff! Not ideal! Seabass was very tasty. Evening would have been perfect otherwise...

Not there personally however booked Breakfast with Santa for my daughter and granddaughter. It was a total rip off. £10.99 per head for very poor food and service. Vegetarian breakfast consisted of one egg, a mushroom and a potato scone. Children’s meal was pancakes or Mac and cheese. Orders were delivered to wrong tables, with the wrong items on them. Staff were disorganised and apparently clueless. Only saving grace was Santa who was lovely and played his part well. But this was not the enjoyable experience I wanted my daughter and granddaughter to have. Shame on you.

Formerly Redstones, EV Bar and Restaurant is a beautiful building in Uddingston on the Main Street. Surprisingly though I think it’s a well kept secret. I phoned to arrange a large table for a baby shower lunch and straight away we were offered the small private room free of charge (restaurants in Glasgow charge hundreds of pounds for this!). We were left to set up, everyone arrived and had a fab time. Meal was 10/10 no complaints from anyone and the lunch menu was great. Lots of choice. The staff left us to our own devices other than checking in on us to see if we needed anything. I would 100% recommend and I’ll be booking it in future for any other events!

Just been to Redstones for their new continental breakfast. It was amazing. It was not a continental breakfast as you know it, with a huge selection of foods, fruits and cereal. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Zaffa and the staff for a great service too.

The Food was brilliant along with the staff that took care of us we were all happy and cleared our plats! I had sea Bass, the fish was cooked to A T ! Delicious my brother-In-law had the very Same he thought it was so nice!

Just been to a wedding which was amazing. All of the staff were so attentive, the food was amazing. What was also extra special was the outside area where you could also have drinks and relax after a few dances on the dance floor. Excellent venue and would highly recommend for a wedding, special birthday or just to go for a meal. Thank you to everyone at EV bar and restaurant at Redstones.

Really disappointed in Service for Funeral wake for my dad. My mum was not served promptly, tve food took some time and as the tables were long it was more difficult for guests to move. It was recommended to us but I would not recommend for a wake for over 35.

We had been planning a large family get-together well in advance and the genuine attention we received during the booking process was most reassuring. The staff were more than happy to welcome our party a little ahead of the reservation time, serving drinks with a smiling, unhurried manner that was both relaxing and whetted the appetite. The following 3-course meal* was duly served with perfect timing - and that is no mean feat for 18 guests! Each excellent course (from a surprisingly varied and unpretentious menu) was thoroughly savoured. The waiters simply could not be fazed by any impromptu request - indeed they seemed to thrive on the dynamic. We were left to our coffees and post-prandial chat in what was effectively a private function area. At no point did we feel under pressure to vacate our table. Special mention should be given to Anna Kossak (Duty Manager) who took time to elicit feedback and put this reborn establishment in context before we settled the bill. One has to say that, on such an extremely high level of overall hospitality, Redstones can be assured of a reputation that is entirely worthy. Best wishes to the team. *To assess it as good value would be a serious understatement.

I went to the restaurant in The Redstone for a lunch with my close family, as we immediately sat down we had great service from great staff, we had a nice, friendly and helpful man who served us brilliantly. When the food arrived we had hardly been waiting. The service was very quick. The food tasted great and they had a great menu with a wide variety for popular food options. The lunch came with formal presentation and showed that effort was put into it. When we finished they removed the plates and gave us time to have a good chat. Then they offered the desert menu, which yet again had a wide variety for different choices. It was a great lunch and I HIGHLY recommend. The staff are great and give off a good vibe.

Overall place is great! Cocktails are the best thing about this place however food is good too. Now updated they're menu but do a tequila rose frozen cocktail and it's Fantastic would come back for this just on its own. One thing I would say is you can tell staff are all fairly new to hospitality and the venue itself, staff don't know table numbers our drinks were taken to the wrong table every time and food also was taken to the wrong table, Also management all looked very stressed and arquing upon each other it's not a great sight to see. Wait for drinks was quite lengthy.

We visited for our first post lockdown dinner and were not disappointed. Staff all wore PPE, tables were well spaced and clean, cutlery served in paper bags. Service was great. Ministrone soup, haggis bonbons and garlic mushrooms all fab. Veggie and pulled chicken burgers great, as was kids pasta (we requested different from menu but that was no problem for staff). Sea bass was outstanding. Participating in eat out to help out too so got money off on a wet Wednesday night but prices were very reasonable anyway. Would definately return.

Have been using here for years, but wont be in the future.Went for an evening meal and from start to finish the experience was a disaster. Were ignored for the first 15 mins no menu or drinks menu given to us, after finally asking, then ordering took over an hour to get the starters, one which was wrong but both were cold. When asked was everything ‘ok’ i said they were cold and one was wrong the reply was ‘i will tell the chef’, no apology, main courses followed after another 30mins, by that time, i had watched at least 3 other tables complaining.Looks like the place has changed owners, standards have definitely slipped.

Acabo de regresar de nuestro té de la tarde en Redstones. Muy decepcionado de principio a fin. En primer lugar, no tenían una nota de nuestra reserva que se organizó hace 4 semanas más o menos. Finalmente nos sentamos y nos preguntaron si queríamos té o café. La "comida" no fue traída por otros 25 minutos más o menos y nuestro té estaba frío durante mucho tiempo. Pedí agua hervida que mi amigo tuvo que recordarles unos 10 minutos más tarde.Como mi amiga no pidió mantequilla, le dieron 2 sándwiches de atún y 2 dedos de huevo, y tuve 2 sándwiches salados de jamón y tomate y 2 de queso que no eran muy agradables. (¡no llenaría una paloma!) En el plato escalonado había 2 tortas de té Tunnochs, 2 obleas de caramelo, 2 cuadrados pequeños de tableta, 2 dedos de mantequilla, 2 rebanadas de pastel de Madeira y 2 bollos / mermelada / crema. Como había cosas en su mayoría dulces, decidimos llevarnos algo a casa, pero el camarero levantó la torta y el bollo (que no estaban envueltos) del plato con las manos desnudas, ¡así que sabíamos que no los queríamos ahora! No lo recomendaría para el té de la tarde. Lo peor que he tenido. Ni una vez nos preguntaron si todo estaba bien, de hecho no hubo cortesías del personal. No volveremos.

Went here for afternoon tea for my friends birthday. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Haggis Bon Bon’s a nice little touch hadn’t seen as part of afternoon tea before in other places. Lovely venue for a weeding reception. Great buffet at night, loved the coffee at the buffet. Service was good.

Popped in for some dinner with a friend. We were very well taken care of from the moment we arrived. We ordered off the set menu which is very good value for money. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Myself and my friend were both driving so had some lovely mocktails. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and relaxed and the staff were very attentive throughout our meal. Would definitely recommend Redstones.

Stopped by with a friend for dinner tonight, we were met with delightful staff on arrival, Kamil & Ali. Seated in a nice quiet area and served immediately. Both of us were driving so we were offered a selection of mocktails from the menu or something bespoke. We both had starters and a main course, beautifully presented and very tasty. We finished off with teas and hot chocolates which ended the meal perfectly. We will definitely be back again and recommend to anybody looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the area.

What a terrific restaurant. The spaghetti Mexicana was so tasty and the sticky toffee pudding to die for. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Kamil was most attentive. The backgoundbmusic created a very pleasant atmosphere for our Saturday night out. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been here quite a few times for something to eat and was very disappointed in our tunnock tea for 2 deal. I bought this voucher from wowcher for my partner Christmas. When we arrived we got our table straight away. Our lunch consisted of 4 small triangle sandwiches each. Ham with cheese and I think the other was egg. No other options. Did not ask if we had any dietary requests. The cakes! 2 Carmel logs, 2 tea cakes, 2 snowballs and 1 scone. No home baked cakes and it did not look like the picture on the advert! The butter was brick hard. It was that bad we just had to laugh. We left within 20 minutes and went elsewhere for something to eat as my partner ate the 4 quarters of his sandwhiches.

To say that our Christmas Day experience at the Redstones was a disaster would be an understatement. The sheer greed of those responsible for taking far too many bookings resulted in several parties being crammed into a small bar area where other parties were already trying to enjoy their dinner. There was a massive shortage of staff and the waiters and waitresses were overwhelmed to the point of tears. It took over an hour after we arrived to have us seated, then a further hour to receive our first course. My aunt and uncle had to ASSIST the waiting staff by going to the bar and serving people drinks, such was the lack of staff. It is my understanding that other parties waited so long for their meals that they left after their starters and refused to pay. At the end of this ordeal which saw us wait well over 3 hours to receive all three courses, which were of average quality, the waitress handed us our bill. Full price with a £220 service charge added. For £75 a head, we expected far better. Instead what we got was an understaffed, disorganised mess. The food was fine, but basic. Certainly not worthy of the price. Overall the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had, and that is saying something.

I'm afraid this won't be a positive review. Booked for Christmas lunch at 3,no starters until 4.20 then no main course for another hour and a bit. The food was excellent when it arrived, but the delays were unacceptable. The 5 o clock sitting arrived before we even got our main courses,so goodness knows how long they waited. I'd like to reiterate I in no way blame the waiting staff as they were nothing but polite and courteous, I felt bad for them as people were venting their frustration onto them. Seems to have been a case of overbooking and bad preparation.

Visited earlier today for a family lunch and the first thing to note is the staff were fantastic. They couldn’t be more helpful and were very friendly. The food was very good too, we will definitely be back 👍🏼

An authentic Italian Restaurant well worthy of a visit if you are in the area. Lovely atmosphere, and excellent customer service. Highly recommended

The Italian at Redstones has a great menu with lots of choices.The set dinner menus are excellent value and the quality of the food is not compromised. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is also a good cocktail list.

Visited Redstones on a Wednesday night with my sister for wine and nibbles. Good choice of wine and reasonably priced. We had anti pasta, mushrooms and different italian breads. We regularly meet our friends in Redstones for teatime drink on a Friday and are always impressed by the welcoming,friendly staff who look after us very well. Anytime we have food it has been very good and prices are reasonable.The outside terrace has been up-graded with comfortable garden furniture and is a lovely place to sit on a sunny day. Was surprised to see the new very cheap looking signage on the Redstones advertising it as an OYO Hotel. A check on Wikipedia shows OYO hotels as being INDIAS Budget Hotel Chain! Not a good sign as the hotel was family owned as far as we were aware!

Read in this weekend’s Herald that the Redstones was going into partnership with OYO. As today was such a lovely day, decided pop in and see what’d changed. Sorry to report that it was a huge disappointment. Got there just after 2.00pm. It was busy but there were plenty of seats in the bar area. We sat at a table in front of the bar and waited, and waited and waited. A few customers, who were on the terrace, came in to order and were advised that someone would be out to take their order. After waiting ten minutes, no-one even acknowledged our presence, so we left. We walked along to Angels and the staff attitude couldn’t have been more different. Sorry Redstones but that standard of service is just not good enough. Uddingston and Bothwell has too many good eating places for you to provide such a dismal level of customer service.

We purchased a groupon voucher to try this restaurant as we hadn’t been before. The food was fantastic.

5pm meal on a sat night. Lovely. Although restaurant was empty which was a bit off putting. Food good. Staff friendly. Trying hard to get custom . Will be back.

Staff are very friendly and attentive.. We have had lovely pizza and pasta on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed every time better than the last.. keep up the good work guys.. I have and would recommend this place to family and friends.

My friend and I had dinner and cocktails here and we were both very impressed. Under new management and we could see the difference tonight compared to the start of the year. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and the cocktails were to die for, between the two of us we worked our way through the cocktail menu and the Manager Gianni even went above and beyond what could be expected of him, we will be back very soon!

Todo lo que puedo decir es horrible. Por favor no vayas aquí el servicio fue impactante. La cena de mi hija fue fría y se recalentó, pero nunca regresó; la mu nieta nunca recibió su comida. Preguntado 3 veces por eso. Entonces la camarera dijo oh, por Dios, están gimiendo de nuevo. Tuve bistec. No se parecía en nada a un bistec con chips recalentados. Servido con un hongo frío. Fue horrible.

My brother and I have visited this place from time to time to enjoy a quiet catchup away from the usual routine and again found the ambience, service and fare most pleasant. The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly, with particular thanks to William. Good place to go.

Enjoyed a nice romantic meal for two in a cosy booth. Food was delicious as was the wine we chose. Service was very good, with staff being attentive but not overbearing. Price was competitive with other eateries around. Will definitely be back.

Estaban allí para comer el domingo para celebrar mi cumpleaños, hermanos. El servicio era excelente, el personal no podría haber sido más atento. La comida era excelente, aunque los hombres de nuestro grupo tener envidia la comida, como mi madre pidió la maltratada eglefino, que era muy grande y los chicos pidió la especial que fue empanadas eglefino y sólo la mitad del tamaño, pero me dijeron que estaba delicioso, nos tomamos 2 campos y bebidas y la factura era muy razonable en sólo 85 libras. 90

Tuvimos una excelente comida con dos amigos. Parte parecía pequeño cuando llegó, pero si me equivoqué. Mi amigo y yo pedimos una lasaña y pizza entre nosotros. Apenas podíamos terminar. Delicioso. Han sido unas cuantas veces y sin duda volveré de nuevo. Precios razonables y un personal amable.

Fuimos a la hora de la cena por el cumpleaños de mi hija y cuando llegamos un poco antes de nuestra mesa estaba reservada para la señora era educado y nos llevó a una zona para sentarse fuera en el sol, que era encantadora. La comida fue deliciosa y el servicio fue realmente bueno. Lo recomendaría.

For an Italian that can’t get spaghetti bolognese right is ridiculous it was completely tasteless and when the manager came to speak to me he agreed it was very bland so that says it all , the place is in need of a good makeover so I would not recommend this place for food I have not stayed in the hotel so can’t comment on that AVOID !!!!!!

We had a really relaxed afternoon family gathering here. Really lovely bruschetta and very acceptable pasta and pizza mains on the lunch menu without having to dip into the a la carte. Were able to take our coffees and desserts out onto the veranda which overlooks a busy-ish road but was rendered really quite nice because the weather was good. Overall, a very pleasant experience all round.
