my friends and I came into this restaurant for a few drinks we ordered on the app when the drinks got brung over the waiter was rude he she whatever the gender was asked us for id we showed he she our ids this person then claimed he couldn’t accept my id? I asked why he then replied in a cheeky manor “ur underage this is a fake id” which it is not a fake id, he then went and spoke to his manager , we then saw the waiter walking around while we had been sat for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to come and talk to us, the waiter then returned and said he couldn’t give us alcohol then rushed away from our table in a hurry, my friends and I were then sat there confused and annoyed, my friend then went up to the manager and asked for a refund. The restaurant straight up refused to refund us. Horrible customer service in here!! At the very least they could’ve had someone with the proper knowledge to check our ids again or they could’ve gave us a refund

Ordered drinks and breakfast rolls, my hot chocolate was nearly cold and more like warm milk, the coffee was just about ok but the bacon roll was served on a brioche bun and the sausage was burnt and very salty. The soup was lovely but everything else was below standard and definitely not worth the money, we will not be returning

We booked a last-minute stay at The Castle Inn in Dirleton over the phone, and they rang back straight away to confirm everything—fantastic service from the start! Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent, with a well-thought-out menu and beautifully cooked dishes. The highlight of our stay was the delicious Scottish breakfast, expertly prepared by Chef Paul—everything was fresh, hot, and flavoursome. A wonderful experience all around. We would definitely return and highly recommend The Castle Inn for a warm and enjoyable stay.

Just had the best cheese and tomato panini ever! Asked for the tomatoes to be chunky and the cheese super melty.. smashed it on both counts! The member of staff who took my order ran up to the kitchen just to make sure 😀 Served with a really tasty wee side salad .. it was perfect. The music playing was also right up my street!!

Second time here. Had dinner here in the past when we did the WHW and remembering it was good. We thought of eating here again while in Kinlochleven. Ordered the Large Haddock Beer Battered Fish and Chips. I saw a couple of half eaten fish chips in other tables and didn’t look good. But I still went for it. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. It wasn’t even hot and looked half done, it was pale yellow. The batter was horrible and wasn’t cooked properly. It was that bad that it sticks to your teeth and gums. My partner enjoyed his gammon steak while I probably had the worst fish and chips of my life! Staff were lovely though and great pub atmosphere.

We visited here a few years ago and were amazed by the food and service. Decided to return today while out for a run. Well we were not disappointed. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Staff helpfull and curteous. Prices very reasonable. What a little gem of a place. We cannot rate this highly enough. Well done!

Tesco Extra Coatbridge. Very poor for a mother's day visit @2pm No Trolleys, Congested with cages, Out of Date Fresh Food, Frozen Food items unavailable, many items with no labels to identify price, cardboar d everywhere, and a phone shop shut. Not the best. Went to ASDA across the road

Popped into here for a bite of lunch. First time in Kirkcudbright. Picked here as it had a lavatory and was quite desperate. Once inside, it was a lovely clean space with a friendly welcome from the staff. We chose the soup and scone; two choices, one of each flavour. After a few minutes we were presented with too substantial bowls of soup and half a huge scone each, as we’d only ordered one. Both soups were delicious and hearty; the scone was light and tasty. We couldn’t finish it all, so the staff carefully packed up the leftover soup for us, which we look forward to having for lunch tomorrow. Great find, great food.

I love going to The Three Lums, it is such a friendly atmosphere, very welcomed by everyone, and the staff are fantastic. Phyllis the manager always seems to be there and she is always so attentive & accomodating. Food is also very good & very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
