Myself and 5 friends enjoyed a walking holiday here. The food and drink were good and the inn is ideally situated on the other side of the Corran ferry. You can head into the remote Ardnamuchan peninsula for remote walks or take the ferry and do Ben Nevis, pap of Glencoe etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms clean with everything you could need. A nice range of local ales and whiskies were available and there is a pleasant residents lounge for some games and r n r.

Arrived with 8 people for Saturday lunch at 12.30 to find it shut. No notice or reason given for closure. Automated response to telephone call (leave a message and we'll get back to you); no one did. Saturday opening hours 12.00 - 21.00 (website). What's going on?

Pretty decent, our food was good, quite a large menu which can be a worry but it seemed prepared fresh. I had a burger and it was grand, couldn't fault it. The dining areas are a little tired and spartan but comfortable enough, and dog friendly areas. Staff were great, very friendly service.

Powmill is a favourite meeting place for lunch with old school friends however after today I doubt that we will return. It's fair to say that we were served efficiently by pleasant staff but the food left a lot to be desired. Pea and ham soup was tasteless, macaroni cheese lacked any sauce and was effectively a dish of stodgy pasta, and selling Halloween decorated biscuits caused us to wonder when they were baked. We left feeling very disappointed.

Great view... I mean GREAT view. And that is what this restaurant trades on. Service to be seated was slow to the point of feeling ignored. Asked for water, none came and had to ask again. This is the sort of establishment I would expect water to be standard on the table. I asked for gluten free bread and got a slice of the cheapest more rubbish white bread. Asda do better loaves. Meal portion was small, served on a cold plate and with cold veggies. And it was expensive for what it was. And they added a 10% service charge (needless to say I didn't pay it). Menu says they are cash free. That is not the case, I paid cash.

We had the most amazing afternoon tea experience in the Bubble. We can't praise the Banff Springs highly enough. This was a mini 'hen party ' and so much thought had gone into making this so special for the bride to be. Beautifully decorated, Beth and her team looked after us so well. The quality of the food and drinks was outstanding. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Highly recommend! A big thank you to all involved!

Went in for drink as train was 20 mins later. Ordered two soft drinks and crisps for myself and daughter. Was approached, after buying items, and advised I’d have to leave if I wasn’t ordering food with a minor. At 2pm in the day. Unless there’s been a law change I’m unaware of? Station bar looks likely to loose locals if this is the case..
