My Parents and I love the food and prices here so cheap for what you get but recently bought a large steak pie from here and it's packed with big chunks of steak that melt in your mouth and lots of tasty gravy and a beautiful crispy crust, Definitely never go anywhere else now for Steak pies, so tasty and lovely staff, Highly Recommended you won't be dissapointed 😋

Just walked out, stood at the counter and got ignored. People in the kitchen saw me and didn't acknowledge or serve me. Really bad service, I just walked out!!!!!!!!😥😥🔊🔊

Dont park here no food or toilets or showers told someone would bring a code for toilet and never showed amd food stops at 4 oh and I got charged for the privilege

Un gran pequeño café. Calidad de la comida y sabor muy por encima de "café". Pasamos una noche y decidimos sentarnos. Muy gratamente sorprendido sobre la gama de platos. Nuestra comida era sabrosa. Servicio bueno - no demasiado apresurado.

Great food and very friendly staff

Servicio terrible. Sentado en la parte del perro del café. La camarera vino varias veces y no vino a tomar mi pedido. Tuve que llamarlos. Dejado por años esperando a alguien para que pudiera pedir la cuenta. Estaba solo, así que no quería dejar a mi perro o bolso. Personal muy amable, sin embargo, al tratar con ellos. Los calentadores deberían haber estado encendidos también.

Just arrived at this great looking truck stop, looks fab and really clean, unfortunately it doesn't cater for truck drivers as it closes at 4pm, so make sure you take your own evening meal, that being said you may as well park in a lay by. Crazy decision not to open for dinner, such a shame I couldn't experience a meal or the facilities...

Very impressed with going in at 7am on the dot and everything ready to go. Great quality bacon, rolls and coffee Got a medium steak pie for after the weekend rugby 6 nations . Scotland won & so I heated 1/2 pie in oven & had with mushy peas & gravy. - BEST PIE IVE EVER HAD - other 1/2 Sunday!

Friendly staff gets very busy and it can take a wee while for food to arrive, but when it does omg its worth the wait

Food is lovely, service could be a bit more friendly at times. Atmosphere is cafe like. Great place if you're a truck or bus/coach driver to park up for lunch.

Got there just after 5. Went for food. Restaurant closes at 1600. Not impressed. Told there was a chippy down the road. Won't be parking there again.

Most food is generally very good. I used to love the mince and tatties in there one of my favourites, but unfortunately the last three times I have been there and ordered that it had gone down hill severely and one time, inedible. So I now avoid it, which is a shame

There is no one on site between 4pm and 7am when the cafe is shut. There is no access to showers during those times and no way of paying for snap during those times either. If you leave before 7am you have to phone them after 7am with your Snap details.

We have been coming here for sometime & it’s going downhill. Three weeks on the trot we have asked for different things on the menu & they have run out or don’t have it. Sorry we won’t be back heard a few other being told they couldn’t have what’s they ordered.

Want a quick lunch or breakfast? V8 is the perfect answer! Went there yesterday for a quick lunch. Prices are well reasonable, food is great and the service is amazing. Friendly staff. Until the next 😀!!

Not the best breakfast to be honest. The portion sizes are really small, quite stingy to be honest. Not enough food for 7.50. The quality of everything is okay but not great, white coffee was so bitter that I couldn’t drink it. Brown sauce is in sachets and tastes really bitter and nasty, just buy in some decent stuff as it was such low quality. Nice staff but yep, could be a lot better

Looking for a decent meal this really isn't the place at all. Firstly on the menu it states that the chips are homemade. MOST CERTAINLY THEY ARE NOT nothing but Greasy frozen chips. So I ordered the beef burger with extra bacon and cheese while the price is cheap what you get is a rubbery dry burger with half a slice of processed cheese and a bit of bacon in an oversized roll. Ok so the prices are no frills but it doesn't take much to put a little effort in on. Kids Mac and cheese grated cheese just chucked over the pasta and not even melted. Then the wife ordered a pakora wrap. No sauce eavailable and overcooked chicken fillets. Attention to detail makes all the difference and this place needs to pay attention

This is a hidden gem of a place. It's been here quite some time and started out as a truck stop. It's due to the good food, (we had the breakfast, ) and the service that has more than just truck drivers stopping here. It has expanded from when i first visited years ago and now has a take away area, the cafe itself and a delivery service for the Inverness area.

Ok good however, my family didn't like the black pudding. Ok service, nice price :)

Tried phoning multiple times before 3pm for Collection no answer took me 15min to arrive been told it’s 7min past 3 their don’t do breakfast. Lost loyal customer!!!

went in to get some lunch there, got mac and cheese and asked if i can have bacon added to it, got my mac and cheese and 1 strip of bacon on the side.. was a bit weird, i also got curry sauce for my chips, when i went to pour my curry sauce over my chips it didn’t even budge from the dish it was that clumpy, asked the waitress if we get chips with burger and she said no so we ordered an extra side of chips for my partners burger, when food came out the burger came with chips and also got an extra side of chips which was wasted as we got told that there was gonna be no chips with the burger, very disappointing experience can’t lie, was a waste of money probably won’t come back

¡La comida estaba lista! Nos detuvimos aquí después en nuestro viaje al Lago Ness. La comida era increíble. Tenemos la parrilla mixta V 8 monstruo y era un monstruo. Junto a lo que se muestra en la imagen había un lado de papas fritas y pan y mantequilla. Vale cada centavo.

Recomiendo encarecidamente, después de leer todas las críticas negativas que tenía cuidado de ir a v 8 pero fue recomendado por un miembro de la familia para ir. La comida era genial, pidió un mega desayuno y ciertamente no puede quejarse de porciones y precio. Un desayuno masivo, una taza y un brindis por menos de diez centavos. El personal era amable y rápido, el servicio era bueno y estaba limpio y ordenado. No hay quejas aquí, volveré.

Consistently best place for comfy food in town. It’s honest food, honest service, simply set up. You always know what you’re gonna get. Gives very nice relaxing vibes and staff are always friendly too. Love it.

We had breakfast in the V8 today morning. Finding a parking place was easy in the dedicated parking place. The food was ok for the price/value (nothing special), although the coffee had a strange flavour (seemed to be instant). My wife is lactose intolerant, sadly there was no oat or alternative milk. The staff was quite apathetic - could have been a bit nicer. Honestly, based on the previous reviews and the 4.5 score I expected a better experience.

Wasn't like it used to be! Waitress went to see if Baked Tatties ready as we in 11.30ish. Yes no prob so I got coronation chicken baked tattie! Tattie was cool n coronation chicken was peppery with no sign of fruit?! Won't be back

Great local place in an industrial part of town with easy parking. Definitely a local place with takeaway out front. Fortunately owner showed us around to the sit down area in the back. Lunch was good and prices were extremely reasonable! 5 stars for the value and service!

Breakfast cold, could do with heating your plates, some of the food items not cooked properly but it's a hit or a miss, sometimes fine but that's a few times been not cooked properly and cold items

Me vine en dos ocasiones para una hamburguesa de ternera para llevar y otra vez la hamburguesa de pollo. En ambas ocasiones el producto servido fue una oferta procesada de grado increíblemente bajo. La última vez que visité (los Greggs se habían agotado) fui con la hamburguesa de pollo, debería haber aprendido la lección de mi primera visita ya que lo que se ofrecía como carne de pollo era un poco de carne blanca procesada gelificada y dudo que fuera de alguna parte de un pollo que normalmente se asocia con un pollo. Dudo que alguna vez vuelva por muy hambriento que tenga, la calidad de la comida es realmente deficiente!

We love the V8 Café, started coming here when we first moved to the area during lockdown and it was one of the few places open. A large menu including breakfast, burgers, main meals and pies. Perfect for a quick lunch.

The full breakfast was amazing and well cooked.. and staff are amazing.. the truck parking is very good.. the showers are very clean and spacious and very well furnished.. very well priced on food and services ..

Been in a few times for breakfast. Food is always a good offering, generously portioned, tastes fresh and reasonably priced. Free parking, convenient location. Dining area not the warmest, but it's a good spot for a breakfast.

Me and my wife really enjoyed the food we ordered. The staff were very friendly and cleaned the tables as soon as they became empty (there was a queue to get in) but they didn't rush you to leave, and it wasn't expensive.

Having been a regular customer at Cafe V8 I was hoping for better today. The counter assistant was too engrossed in her conversation with a friend and drinking a can of juice to realise that I and another customer were waiting to be served. The lady ahead of me gave up and left. I persevered thinking , 'Oh well I've waited this long.....' but when I was eventually asked what I was waiting for and explained that I hadn't yet been served, I was still ignored. Seemed pointless waiting after that. It would take a lot to persuade me to go back.

Good place to park a large commercial vehicle for a rest and food is good in the cafe and has an hair dressers on site so ya can have ya hair cut during your break ..

Do you need a tasty no nonsense meal? The V8 cafe is the way. Lovely friendly staff with a real atmosphere where anyone should feel comfortable.

Definitely will be returning after visiting for the first time and having one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in the past few years
