One star for the timer in the shower, why the card time and didn’t have time to swim

£5.50 for a shower and it’s only 7mins long, staff rude not interested in you.

I ordered the vegetarian breakfast. Tasty and affordable

Looking for a decent meal this really isn't the place at all. Firstly on the menu it states that the chips are homemade. MOST CERTAINLY THEY ARE NOT nothing but Greasy frozen chips. So I ordered the beef burger with extra bacon and cheese while the price is cheap what you get is a rubbery dry burger with half a slice of processed cheese and a bit of bacon in an oversized roll. Ok so the prices are no frills but it doesn't take much to put a little effort in on. Kids Mac and cheese grated cheese just chucked over the pasta and not even melted. Then the wife ordered a pakora wrap. No sauce eavailable and overcooked chicken fillets. Attention to detail makes all the difference and this place needs to pay attention

This is a hidden gem of a place. It's been here quite some time and started out as a truck stop. It's due to the good food, (we had the breakfast, ) and the service that has more than just truck drivers stopping here. It has expanded from when i first visited years ago and now has a take away area, the cafe itself and a delivery service for the Inverness area.

Ok good however, my family didn't like the black pudding. Ok service, nice price :)

I love V8. The staff are always so friendly and happy to help you. Great menu selection at any time of the day. My go too breakfast roll is the bacon, black pudding and egg roll 👌

Tried phoning multiple times before 3pm for Collection no answer took me 15min to arrive been told it’s 7min past 3 their don’t do breakfast. Lost loyal customer!!!

went in to get some lunch there, got mac and cheese and asked if i can have bacon added to it, got my mac and cheese and 1 strip of bacon on the side.. was a bit weird, i also got curry sauce for my chips, when i went to pour my curry sauce over my chips it didn’t even budge from the dish it was that clumpy, asked the waitress if we get chips with burger and she said no so we ordered an extra side of chips for my partners burger, when food came out the burger came with chips and also got an extra side of chips which was wasted as we got told that there was gonna be no chips with the burger, very disappointing experience can’t lie, was a waste of money probably won’t come back

Good for a scran but council have decided to make the adjacent parking area a pay to park.

Food was spot on! We stopped here after on our trip away to Loch Ness. The food was amazing. We got the V8 monster mixed grill and it was a monster. Along side what is shown in the picture there’s was a side of chips and bread and butter. Worth every penny.

Highly recommend, after reading all the negative reviews I was wary of going to v8 but was recommended by a family member to go. Food was great, ordered a mega breakfast and certainly cannot complain about portions and price. A massive breakfast, a cuppa and toast for less than a tenner. Staff were friendly and prompt, service was good and it was clean and tidy. No complaints here, will be back.

Consistently best place for comfy food in town. It’s honest food, honest service, simply set up. You always know what you’re gonna get. Gives very nice relaxing vibes and staff are always friendly too. Love it.

Very reasonably priced for what you get also. First time visiting and very impressed with the quality of food with the price paid.

If you need fuelled up this is the place to do it...

We had breakfast in the V8 today morning. Finding a parking place was easy in the dedicated parking place. The food was ok for the price/value (nothing special), although the coffee had a strange flavour (seemed to be instant). My wife is lactose intolerant, sadly there was no oat or alternative milk. The staff was quite apathetic - could have been a bit nicer. Honestly, based on the previous reviews and the 4.5 score I expected a better experience.

Wasn't like it used to be! Waitress went to see if Baked Tatties ready as we in 11.30ish. Yes no prob so I got coronation chicken baked tattie! Tattie was cool n coronation chicken was peppery with no sign of fruit?! Won't be back

Great local place in an industrial part of town with easy parking. Definitely a local place with takeaway out front. Fortunately owner showed us around to the sit down area in the back. Lunch was good and prices were extremely reasonable! 5 stars for the value and service!

Breakfast cold, could do with heating your plates, some of the food items not cooked properly but it's a hit or a miss, sometimes fine but that's a few times been not cooked properly and cold items

Fresh cooked, superb and tasty and quick service even when very busy. Staff are absolutely on the ball 👏

Great if ur passing thro but if ur a lorry driver thats staying overnight then forget it as food stops at 4.great if u want breakfast but paid £12 for nothing so won't be coming here again

Great stop for a filling breakfast

Cafe was closed by 1630 when I arrived.

I popped in on 2 occasions for a takeaway beef burger and another time the chicken burger. On both occasions the product served up was an incredibly low grade processed offering. The last time I visited (Greggs had sold out) I went with the 'chicken' burger, should have learned my lesson from my first visit as what was offered as chicken meat was some jellified processed white meat and I doubt if it was from any part of a chicken that you normally associate with a chicken. I doubt I will ever be back no matter how hungry I am, the quality of food is really substandard!

Great place for good no fuss quality food and the service is spot on.

Stopped here for the night lady at desk was super polite and very helpful only down side is they stop doing food at 4pm which I found odd it's clean and tidy

We love the V8 Café, started coming here when we first moved to the area during lockdown and it was one of the few places open. A large menu including breakfast, burgers, main meals and pies. Perfect for a quick lunch.

Best cooked breakfast ever!! Delivery was fast and the food was amazing and affordable.

What a disgusting waste of time. 30 minutes wait and no food. Then they had the nerve to charge us for a cup of tea that was awful

Really wouldn't rate the V8 mega opened them up . Plate dripping cooking oil blackpudd think that was dipped in a deep fryer left that 2

Had to wait 25 mins for a maga breakfast takeaway. During that time bacon rolls, egg rolls were given to people who had ordered 10 mins after me?

The full breakfast was amazing and well cooked.. and staff are amazing.. the truck parking is very good.. the showers are very clean and spacious and very well furnished.. very well priced on food and services ..

Everything was great, but just feel it was a little expensive. Wasn't awful but maybe a couple of quid cheaper would me more justified

Been in a few times for breakfast. Food is always a good offering, generously portioned, tastes fresh and reasonably priced. Free parking, convenient location. Dining area not the warmest, but it's a good spot for a breakfast.

Me and my wife really enjoyed the food we ordered. The staff were very friendly and cleaned the tables as soon as they became empty (there was a queue to get in) but they didn't rush you to leave, and it wasn't expensive.

Having been a regular customer at Cafe V8 I was hoping for better today. The counter assistant was too engrossed in her conversation with a friend and drinking a can of juice to realise that I and another customer were waiting to be served. The lady ahead of me gave up and left. I persevered thinking , 'Oh well I've waited this long.....' but when I was eventually asked what I was waiting for and explained that I hadn't yet been served, I was still ignored. Seemed pointless waiting after that. It would take a lot to persuade me to go back.

Good place to park a large commercial vehicle for a rest and food is good in the cafe and has an hair dressers on site so ya can have ya hair cut during your break ..

Do you need a tasty no nonsense meal? The V8 cafe is the way. Lovely friendly staff with a real atmosphere where anyone should feel comfortable.

Definitely will be returning after visiting for the first time and having one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in the past few years

Quite possibly the worst breakfast rolls and coffee I've ever had. Can't say much more about it.....

Good food and great service except for the one guy that doesn't seem to bother his backside, shame really as the other girls were working really hard. His lack of participation seemed to be stressing the other servers out and I really felt for them. Daryl was especially helpful, lovely lady.

I visited here while on a break in Scotland to see a friend. The food was brilliant and very tasty. The service was brilliant by the girls but there was one guy who wasn't pulling his weight and refused to do his fair share of the serving. This seemed to be bringing the atmosphere down and the other girls seemed to be very stressed out by this. One server in particular was extremely helpful and friendly, their name was Daryl.

If it's grub you want, they got it. If it's a big old diesel V8 you want...they, erm, they got that too... 😳

Love coming here for lunch with my mate! We always get the mega v8 breakfast! There really accommodating with swapping out bits of the breakfast and add some extra bits! Nice and affordable, not every big inside so not loads of tables but u don’t have to wait very long! They also have take away food at the front, everything is nice and fresh! Nice wide range of food to pick from so something for everyone! Staff are always lovely and helpful! Definitely recommend V8

We had breakfast and lunch here on the start and finish respectively of our NC500 run. The staff were on both occasions lovely and attentive, food portions very generous and value for money.

Asked to get slight change to full breakfast as I don't take eggs and was not allowed so still payed full price

Quick service but i told them what i didnt like in my meal and the items still came on the plate. I felt some of the staff interacted with (what i thought was) regulars, instead of making new people feel welcomed
