Very enjoyable meal with pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. Food is locally sourced where possible.

Réservation de dernière minute pour 8 personnes. . Mark au top pour l'accueil et son épouse aux commandes de la cuisine. Nous avons même eu droit à de la musique française 👍 Repas excellent pour un bon rapport qualité prix Nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Je recommande.

We dined here during our stay at Craiglynne as the weather was very cold and wet at the time. Two wrongs definitely made a right and we enjoyed a lovely meal with excellent wine to accompany it. Everything was presented perfectly and the staff were extremely efficient and attentive. We shall return to this restaurant again soon.

Well we had to laugh as the staff clearly had no experience or training in even the most basic aspect of serving at table. We got the wrong wine, and then at the end of the meal a waiter insisted we had ordered another bottle of a much more expensive wine, which we simply had not. We were asked what size glasses we wanted for our red wine, and although we asked for large ones, we got the smallest wine glasses I’ve ever seen, and one was cracked. The cutlery is old and tired and the food you were supposed to eat it with was grim. If it’s raining and you’re staying at the hotel, use it with forbearance. If you can, go elsewhere.

Cook didnot put Steak Diane on my plate when ordered. Got steak, no sauce. When i told waitress I wanted Diane Sauce, she brought something with cut up mushrooms and mushrooms-no butter in this concoction. Only ordered steak in the first place because I hadn't had Steak Diane in a long while. Waitress never came back to see if everything all right. When she finally came back to table, showed her what sauce should look like. She removed charge. Never apoligized though.

This an excellent restaurant with menu to cater for everones requirements. Staff are so helpful nothing is a problem to them and so efficent at there job. Food is excellently presented and tastes delicious a very talented chef.

Great restaurant menu changed every night. Food was excellent everything cooked to perfection they certainly have an excellent chef. Service is very good and served as a traditional restaurant should be.

many thanks chef for all the extra effort you put in to make our kids happy during there stay they loved all the extra wee bits making the food they wouldn't normally eat look appetising to them will be back

Excellent choice of menu and food very well presented

Meal was very ordinary and not so warm! Took ages to come and they weren't particularly busy. No bar staff at bar to buy drinks and selection was very limited, beer warmish and Aussies like cold beer!

i feel as i have recently stayed at the hotel and ate evry night i should leave a few comments for the chefs and dining room staff the food was on a three day menu cycle with beatifully braised blade of beef i will not forget in a hurry how succulent it was the startes we good as well especially the ham hough terrine all that was missingwas a little picallili myself and my wife both opted a'la carte one night and i must say the stornoway benedict is a winner beatifully cooked and presented as we said in our review of the hotel we cant wait to come back keep up the good work
