Do not make any requests, or you will be met with an intimidating stare and a passive/aggressive response. It made our stay quite difficult, but we stuck it out as it was peak season at the time. Also, our room more suited to a single bed category - with a double bed squeezed into it, there was barely enough room to move along one side of the bed and around the end of the bed, as it was so close to the wall on two sides. There are plenty of other good B&B's in the area who will be glad to welcome you.

We stayed for one night on our way back from Skye. Our room was spottlessly clean, the breakfast was great and our host was extremely welcoming. I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here for one night on a nostalgic trip back to visit a holiday area and see friends. The quality of accommodation was very good and extremely comfortable. Wifi in room so we could keep in touch while travelling. Bathroom with all our needs and even bathrobes. We loved the humorous touch of the 'Broons' annual hung by the toilet! There was a bar to help yourself and leave room number and a special treat of a whisky nightcap awaiting on the landing where the bedrooms were located. The view from our room was over to Skye, Rum and Eigg and the beaches of the area, all well known to us and we were lucky to have good weather. Breakfast was excellent, freshly made and to a high quality. David and Jenny made us very welcome.

We have previously visited Cnoc na Faire and eaten in the restaurant, the food and service was fantastic so we thought we would visit again this year on our Honeymoon. The gates were closed but as a customer come through to leave we drove in. a lady who I can only assume to be Jenny asked if she could help us, I asked if the restaurant was open and she very abruptly informed us that they had down sized and it was now only bed and breakfast for residents only. I asked if we could just park on the car park to change our baby and she said no and strode over to the gate to point us through. For all she knew we could have been looking to book accommodation. What a very rude lady and the loss of a great restaurant.

We stayed here for a couple of nights mid november. Our room was very small and if we returned we would request another of the larger rooms but all others were fully booked. The food was excellent we ate there on both nights although they now do B&B only. Excellent location a short walk from the beach.

You have to get in early as the bar area is small and most people tend to turn up sharpish. We ate here twice. First time was fine, but we were charged 10p for ice for a glass of tap water! Not been charged like that before! Anyway, food was good though and would recommend the chicken stuffed with white pudding. Vegetables were cooked nicely. The second night we waited such a long time for our meal, I don't mind waiting for a quality meal but I did think the wait was particularly long! The waitresses are lovely and a credit to the place.

We ventured her on our recent trip to the Highlands It is in a beautiful setting, up on a hill overlooking the sea towards Skye The service was very good and friendly The food was good. We are vegetarians, so there was only 1 choice as a main, but it was nice We both enjoyed our visit It was hotel food, at hotel prices, it was good though An extra was being able to take our 2 dogs into the bar

This Hotel was close to where we were staying in Arisaig and its exterior reminded you of a 60s/70s style, but the food was very modern both in presentation and taste with a fixed menu and 'specials' board on offer. I started with the trio of 'smoked meats' and for main had the house special 'Keppoch' Steak and ale pie. Both were well presented and were very tasty and served by attentive staff. Our meal was enhanced by our choice of table in the garden. The hotel is located at the top of a hill and overlooks Eigg, Rhum and Skye, with the impressive Cuillins mountain ranges on Rhum and Skye giving the most wonderful 'vista' and backdrop. This venue is located on the 'alternative' Arisaig to Morar road and is well worth a visit.

We were caravanning at a nearby campsite & walked up for a meal in the bar where we could bring our dog with us. The bar area is quite small but nicely decorated - Scottish without being twee. The service was very friendly and the food was good - not in an amazing way but we both really enjoyed our meals. We thought it was good value & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely go again & look forward to it.

We visited and ate hear on the second night of our holiday and would highly recommend their dessert menu. The main food menu was lovely too but the puddings and even the ice cream was delicious.

Get there early for a bar meal or book to eat in the restaurant, Locally sourced and expertly cooked food. Watch where you park as its gets very busy and you could get blocked in.

Been before and the food was good, only problem was that my wife remembered that the menu was exactly the same as the previous year, not really very inventive. There was a lack of seafood on the menu which was surprising given the location and the quality available. Wine menu is very limited.

Having spent many long and short holidays this area of Scotland we have had several meals in this restaurant. Over the years the quality of the food has deteriorated and to prevent further disappointment we went else where. The bar area is very cramped and the staff unfriendly. Shame we had some great times and food here.

We ate the sirloin here reputed to come from the local butchers and it was chewy and gristly. Only had onion rings and 1 tomato. overpriced and poor. Had to eat in the bar as restaurant not open but noisy local drunks at bar spoiled everything. Server didnt seem to care we thought the steak tough.

Had previously popped in a few times for coffee, but this was the first time we'd eaten here. We were in the bar not the restaurant but it was the best haddock and chips we'd ever had. Good service and friendly owners and if it's a nice day you can have a drink outside and enjoy the views over Skye.

Every year we visit Arisaig and every year we visit the Cnoc-na-Faire for a meal. This year there were four families and we booked the bar area for the Friday night ... as normal the food was outstanding with everyone ordering different meals and the majority of people commenting that 'their meal was the best they had ever tasted!' (which included fish and chips!). The kids really enjoyed their meals too. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and well worth a visit.

You are best to reserve a table in the evenings (we ate in the bar area)- it was really busy on Friday night. (try and reserve the window table - views to die for from there!) Decor is surprisingly modern inside and tastefully done.Service was attentive but not much finesse - young waitress piled the plates on top of each other when clearing. The food for adults was excellent - fish taster starter plate was stunning and my seafood pasta very good. Terrible limited choice for children under 12 and very pricey. £2 for two slices of bought in garlic bread and £6.50 for scampi and chips. Why can't they offer homemade dishes for kids here?Drinks and food are pricey but I guess they have a captive market and can demand this.

The Fish and Chip Shop is in our experience is without a doubt the BEST IN CAITHNESS AND SUTHERLAND! The fish was white and flakes. fried in beautiful crispy batter and the chips were perfect. We have experienced other Chip Shops in Wick,Thurso and Helmsdale, plus Mobile Chip Vans in Lybsterand Dunbeath and this has been the best so far too. We travelled around 30 miles to eat here and would do so again. THANK YOU.

After poor experiences in Oban and Fort William this place restored our faith in a Scottish breakfast and hospitality. Great service, even better breakfast made with quality ingredients.
