Enjoyed this visit very much. Had the "philly steak" which was amazeballs. Service excellent, very pleased as I was able to learn a few words of Romanian from our server who was excellent. Very much worth a visit.

We went twice because we loved it the first time and we knew we had to return, the food is very delicious and the staff is very attentive and friendly.

Absolutely lovely. Great food and service. We had our best whiskey yet there, following a recommendation of a very kind waiter. I highly recommend the Highland Chicken - it will not disappoint! Also, a highlight for us: my mom is picky regarding spiceness, and the waiter was extremely understanding, and the kitchen accommodating to her needs. Only good things to say, honestly. Good prices as well.

When we were back in Inverness after our Loch Ness circumnavigation, the task was to find a restaurant with a free seat. Our choice fell on fas No 27. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were lucky with a reservation that went unnoticed. The service was friendly, quick and the food was delicious.

Stumbled upon this restaurant and loved it! The food is delicious! I had the humanoid plate (comes with tasty pita bread, a fried white cheese, yorgurt sauce, green olives and hummus. The small size is ample and 2 of us shared that. I had the leg of lamb for my main and it was delicious! The leg was very meaty and this dish could easily serve two ppl if you’re also getting a starter. The toffee pudding is the best I’ve had yet. Served warm, lots of toffee and so flavorful. It’s served with ice cream but I chose it without. I received excellent service from several of the workers (male and two females) but our main server, Eabha, went above and beyond. She was super helpful, made sure we had everything we needed and was so sweet! This restaurant is easily my favorite in Inverness!

All the staff have been so friendly with us, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was cosy and charming. I highly recommend this restaurant for good Scottish cuisine during a stay in Inverness.

A very nice restaurant pub in city centre. Food were amazing, service was quite fast even though it was packed busy when we were there. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth to go to if you are in town.

Popped in after a very brief taxi tour to the lookout of Loch Ness. We had just been caught in a deluge and we're thankful for the delicious and warming Cullen skink and mussels!

Good place for lunch or dinner.

Came here for dinner, got the set menu. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Good vibes in the restaurant. Had the mussels, pork belly and cesar salad for starters all very good. Had pie and burger for dinner. Starters were probably better but good meal all things considered.

We went without a reservation, they told us we would have to wait a little but they served us super quickly. The food was very delicious and the waiters and waitresses were super friendly.

On a very busy night, I miraculously managed to get a table at this place. The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful, even when they were extremely busy. The food was really good too - the mussels were great, but the salmon was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend

I booked a table and they gave it away because 15 minutes late. I drave 4 hours to get there. I wish they will continue to have as many tourists as to be able to maintain this kind of behaviour.

Restaurant that serves gluten-free food and it turns out that it contains gluten.....be careful because they can make you stuck in the toilet for a couple of hours after the meal.

Very nice pub, typical atmosphere and very friendly waiters. They have dishes with typical Scottish ingredients such as haggies but which are prepared with some variations (I had a chicken breast stuffed with haggies). They also have vegetarian and vegan alternatives and even gluten-free ones (like mine), but I fear that they cannot guarantee contamination. Convenient parking which is free after 6pm

Awesome food, great service, been in Scotland for a little bit, and by far my favorite restaurant to date! Good whisky reccomendations, fair prices, and great quality food. Next time I am in Scotland I will make this a stop on my list.

I can't recommend to anyone with any dietary requirements. I was sat in view of the kitchen so managed to see the chefs disdain at being asked what on the menu was dairy free, then I watched him sprinkle a small pile of herbs on the counter and say "that's dairy free" to the waiter. The chefs annoyance was clear each time he was asked about what dishes contained dairy. I don't enjoy spending money so a chef can belittle me for a dietary requirement that I can't help, so I will definitely not be back, nor will I be recommending the place to anyone else.

It’s damn near IMPOSSIBLE for a solo traveler to find dinner accommodations in Inverness. I’m not just saying that. For anyone who’s been here, apparently it’s common knowledge that restaurants are booked weeks in advance. After trying The Castle Tavern (an entire room full of empty tables upstairs that are for reservations only), La Tortilla (known for its paella yet refusing provision of it to a solo diner), and The River House (where I emailed last night and was told that they had a 9:15 opening and was then told on arrival after a one mile walk that they don’t have seating for “singleys”), I was extremely pleased to find Number 27 Bar & Kitchen to be welcoming (the irony - my favorite number). This particular experience tonight doused fuel on the fire for an aspiring writer and seasoned traveler wanting to startup a blog or memoirs for other solo travelers. At 27, which I highly suggest, I enjoyed the mushroom garlic soup, a caesar salad, and the chef’s homemade steak pie. The meal and service were both outstanding. This place is a must and just outside the Main Street.

Fantastic dinner here with outstanding service! From the beginning, every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming to our group. Leaving the restaurant, everyone agreed that the food and the people worked there were amazing! Would highly recommend checking out this great spot in Inverness!

Was taken here by family and sat at the lovely window spot. Had the seafood chowder which was delightful. Finished it off with an espresso martini which the server was so excited to make for me.. also a sticky toffee pudding. Lovely experience.

Fantastic place to eat and would definitely recommend! Staff were wonderful and made every effort to find me a seat as a solo walk in despite already being very busy. Good selection of beer on draught with some excellent local brews to try as well. Menu was varied and the food all looked amazing coming from the kitchen. I chose the salmon to start and chicken with whisky sauce for main, both were amazing! Despite being busy it was not too noisy and gave the place a great atmosphere. Would recommend booking as I was lucky to get a table but there were several couples and small groups sent away after me!

What an amazing place, friendliest of staff and though we hadn’t booked they managed to provide us space on the high tables for dinner. Great wine and a great dinner. The Cullen skink (nothing to do with kiwi skinks) was fantastic. I can’t rate this place highly enough. An absolute gem. Just wish it was closer to NZ. I’d make it my local!

We came in quite late on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. Fortunately the waiter who greated us found a table for us. The atmosphere was great, all wait staff extremely friendly and the food was amazing. I had the pan seared salmon and the sticky toffee pudding (home made). I nearly inhaled all the food, it was so good. ☺️ We are only in Inverness for the night, but when I come back I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

Great place. We come here every time we visit (Tasmania, Australia is home) Everything is perfect at Number 27. Above all, the staff are excellent, Especially LIAM. Hopefully fit in another visit before home time.

The steak was chewy and wasn’t cooked medium-rare as ordered. It was charred and completely raw. The new potatoes were bone dry and unseasoned. A bit of butter and parsley on it would’ve been nice. There was some strange sugary balsamic paste on the plate ruining the meat and vegetables. I thought this balsamic nonsense craze ended in 2017. And obviously the pepper cream sauce started off as powder and ended as some gloopy contraption on my plate. Basic errors here!

The 27 Bar & Kitchen is nearly perfect in every way. We dined there three times while we spent two weeks in Inverness. First, the service is outstanding. Our servers made recommendations about the bar’s whisky offerings. Their suggestions were spot on. Second, the menu is not cluttered with many options. As a result, the kitchen staff can focus on preparing great dishes. There is a good balance of fresh seafood and meats. Finally, the space is small allowing for a calm evening and attention from the staff. Compared to the other restaurants we ate at while in Scotland, this was/is our favorite.

We got there right g ht after it opened and the menu items were limited but the burger I had was very good.

Great food and amazing service, can't recommend enough. Careful with the soup though, it was way too peppery for us. Very easy to access for the Raining's stairs car park.
