Wonderful view overlooking the Loch, warm friendly pub with twinkling lights. Nice pub type food options & the steak & pie were delicious. The bedroom was clean, comfy bed, great shower & Loch view & had a fab coffee machine. Barman friendly & made a whisky suggestion & it was delicious 😋 breakfast was plentiful & sets you up for the day. If I was being picky I would say fresh fruit & a cappuccino instead of filter coffee but this would not stop us returning & we will definitely return.

Good food, especially the excellent pies. Very acceptable and reasonably priced wine list. Personable and pleasant staff and excellent service. Our first visit and highly recommended. Thanks for a very pleasant evening.

Me and my partner stayed for the night to enjoy a little getaway. The food and atmosphere at dinner was so lovely and very warm and cozy. All staff were amazing and made it feel very relaxed. James was so lovely and helpful throughout our whole stay and we’ll definitely be back

Had dinner here with a group of 12 person , I made reservations online months before arrival , free parking , lovely atmosphere, some food was rather salty to our liking but overall it was a good dining experience here

We stayed in Arrochar for a week and spent every evening at this excellent pub. It has a brilliant loch side location with excellent views and a nice garden to the front. Food was excellent, we ate in both the bar and restaurant and enjoyed great meals in both. James the restaurant manager is a great guy as well as Alex, Ali and Logan who all made us feel welcome. The best part of this place is the bar where we were looked after by Edith, Anni and Charlie who were all really friendly and great people to spend some time with. Great selection of single malt whisky and the Guinness is as fresh as it comes. Can’t wait until it’s time for our next visit, thanks guys and see you soon

We booked 3 night break with breakfast included. A lovely hotel, great staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. It's right on the banks of Loch Long next to Loch Lomond. Recommend this place. Great breakfast, and evening meal.

I tried to book for an evening meal later tonight. If I said it was for 2 people there were various bookings available. However, if I said it was for only one person there was no availability!!!! Discrimination. And there phone booking goes nowhere. Could not get to talk to a person. Rather disgusted actually.

A stay in Arrochar overlooking Loch Long. This is a cracking wee pub with rooms. We had a small room with a decent sized modern bed. We had booked via Booking and got a midweek deal including breakfast. After a long day of hill walking, this is a really warm and relaxing pub with an open fire. Staff we met were attentive and friendly. The evening meal really hit the spot. I would suggest pricing is slightly on the high side, but the quality of the meal definitely delivered. A beautiful gammon steak, plenty of chips, fresh chargrilled pineapple and an excellently executed fried egg which was runny. Breakfast is quite superb. Full Scottish as opposed to a cooked breakfast. Proper Scottish local produce, two Lorne sausages and two tattie scones with two eggs, bacon and tomato. Arrochar has a real engaging feel about it. A beautiful part of Scotland and The Village Inn delivers with Scottish hospitality, Scottish cuisine and Fyne local Ales.

I booked this hotel for me and my partner and our little dog, but we had to put her down the day we travelled. We kept the same room as it was a spacious cottage style room on the ground floor. We ate at the hotel two out of the 4 nights and the food was nice but we did have to wait an hour for our dinner the second night due to the restaurant being full but it didn't spoil it for us as we tucked into a bottle of wine !!! The staff that see to us during our stay were so lovely and helpful and polite, they are a credit to the hotel so thank you Alex & Anni and also Alistair who served us in the evening and at night 10/10.

Mediocre, very overpriced food and drink. Nice views of the Loch but left a bit underwhelmed. Portions are small so make sure you dont come if you're hungry

Stopped during the week there for dinner and was not left disappointed. Food was outstanding, one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. My friends also loved their meals - apparently the lamb was to die for. I'll just need to come back again and try it for myself. Was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening as well! We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience and it was just one night sadly . The Village Inn was a great experience, friendly staff who were very helpful and accommodating when our dog Monty decided he didn’t do stairs . We were quickly allocated another room on the ground floor which was perfect for our needs . Excellent Service from a great team, Food delicious room was warm and cosy hopefully be back again soon .

Turned up as a family after driving 45 mins with a confirmed email booking to be told “sorry - we’ve got no tables”. Despite the confirmed booking the only solution was “can’t help you”. The place might be amazing but we’ll never know as they couldn’t accommodate us despite the booking.
