Brewers Fayre in Glasgow City

Not bad , typical brewers fayre food . Its OK if your just wanting something quick.

Tried to go for a coffee with friends and we were refused service because we were not staying in the hotel. Best to be avoided. Lots of people were being turned away in the time we were there.

Food was good buy the play area was a bit small for my 8yr old

Didn't manage to eat at this location until the afternoon before our flight. The staff we came into contact with were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was cooked and served hot. The portion sizes were just right. This is most definitely a restaurant and bar that I would recommend. I had a very negative experience at a Brewers Fayre in England during a business stay. My experience here specifically in Paisley has not only demonstrated professionalism and great customer service. The staff in the background are clearly great at their job role too. Thanks to the Chef for feeding my family with some good wholesome well-cooked food.

I stayed 2 minutes over and received a £57 fine its totally disgusting. Hardly the way to welcome customers....avoid at all costs unless ypu keep a very close eye on your watch!!!!

All 2 courses on both of our 2 different dinners was overcooked and dry, won't return again

Called in on spec! Won't be back! The place was empty and devoid of atmosphere. We decided on the carvery (5pm). It promised much but delivered zero! We had to wait for 5 mins on the chef to carve the meat. We then moved onto the rest. Meat was well cooked but lukewarm. Yorkshire cold and hard Roast potatoes cold Mash had a dried out top Swede/ carrots same Dauphinoise cold Cauliflower cheese warm Peas, not many and dried out Didn't take parsnips as they looked overdone Gravy warm Now I didnt realise all of the above until I started to eat. I did mention, while at the carvery, Roast potatoes were cold, and staff member offered to get replacement. Which came and were piping hot. Someone, I assumed was the manager, passed by asked if everything was OK, I told him how cold everything was and he just replied ok and walked away. Customer Service, non existent. I would not recommend this place and will not be back. I would be interested in feedback from the establishment, but won't hold my breath.!

Eat quick. Arrived 10 minutes early for an 8 o'clock business breakfast and got fined £57 for exceeding their 2hr parking limit.

We popped in for a spot of lunch, we ordered the fish and chips and bangers and mash! The Bangers and mash came in a large soup bowl, the mash was submerged in gravy as were the garden peas swimming in the gravy. The bangers were sat on top of the mash saving them selfs from drowning. When the plate was presented my friend asked why it had been served like this and expressed his dislike of the meal, the male server with a beard said that’s the way it is served, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. He later came back and asked was everything ok with the meal, my friend as this point was so disparaged by the lack of good customer service he had already returned to his car and had left his meal untouched. The server offered a bowl of chips as compensation, but I explained my friend would not becoming back into the restaurant. He also said at this point that had we have asked they would’ve presented it with a jug of gravy and I explained we did not know how they served it in the first place, and had already made comment when the dish was presented at the table and he fell to do anything about it. my fish and chips arrived at the table perfectly okay? Except for the fish was placed on the chips making the chips soggy. The chips were edible but soggy.

Came here on a Sunday evening for the carvery (7pm) to find we'd missed it. Food was bang average pub food, not that we were expecting much, though the portions were a decent size. For how quiet it was, the service could have been better, the greeter was a wee bit overfriendly false smiles. No atmosphere, no music, no tvs to watch, and the place smelled like an old people's home when they make the lunches. Very dated, wouldn't recommend.

Very disappointed in the food and service. There weren't many people in the pub and the food took 50 mins to come out (4 adults, 2 children). When the food finally came out, my steak was stone cold, chips were luke warm. I returned it, and when it came back, it was missing the onion rings that went back, and it was only like warm. Horrific meal, and probably one of the worst meals I've had in about 5 years.

Took 15 minutes to order food. It's another half hour to get food. Wanted carvery, nothing left at 5pm. Meal, i did get combo chicken and ribs, lukewarm chips, double stack burger, ordered extra bacon, should have been two slices, got one. Mix grill had no tomatoes, pea cold, lukewarm chips. Nachos starter had no chills on it. Someone needs to pay attention to the wait for ordering and service. Also, the kitchen needs to pay attention to the heat of food, plus what advertise on the plate should be on the plate. Did not get told no coke zero also, for the refillable glass.

Great place for lunch dinner forgot all about place visited last week not been in years well worth a visit

Went here for dinner. Excellent choice of mains for a good price if you eat before 6pm. Food very very tasty. All very fresh. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Food of good quality, not a massive amount just enough.

No selection.no pancakes.butter tasted off. Had to ask for fresh eggs ,mushrooms. Was no teaspoons.

Nice dinner meal here good value

5/5 - went in for a family meal, got a Katsu curry and it was delicious, partner got the fish and chips which looked brilliant. Service was great, food came out quickly - special mention to Hugh, who was an absolute star. Will return!!

Was not happy no service waiting in a cue for to order your dinner and the same for drinks and then waiting three quarters of an hour for your meal and then again for your sweet had to go to counter and ask for it and our dinner plates to be removed first time never going back

I will go to the Brewers Fayre for nice cooking and hospitality. Their meals are well prepared.

We were in for Christmas Dinner, it was so good we came back on Boxing Day. Derek was on Christmas Day and made us so welcome, Alan was on Boxing Day & made us just as welcome. Great Staff, Great Food & lovely clean & tidy Restaurant.

Went there for Xmas won't be going back to this one again. Still can't believe we only got one chipolata sausage when we went for the carvery. Thanks Brewers Fayre for ruining our Xmas Dinner.

Absolutely awful. I travelled over 100 miles to have Christmas Dinner with my sister and partner for the 1st time in 42 years. what a shambles from beginning to end. What was suppose to be a special time for family was ruined. Its the season of good will to all men so I will forgive but hold your heads down in shame.😔

Gluten free options were almost non existent, and when I ordered a "sharer" plate of nachos I asked the waitress if I'd said something to offend someone. Honestly was about 7 nachos on the plate I could only share them with someone who doesn't like nachos!

This place is perfect if u are looking for a decent cheap meal and a place to have the kids run around. Decent wee menu for the kids too. Service is slow the 3 times we have been but the waitress staff are always friendly. Bring £1 coins if you go as the kids will want to use machine to get toys.

Often eat here. Good menu selection at reasonable prices. Not too busy mid week. Parking is free after 18:00 though refunded at other times. Update after latest visit...to be honest the quality of the food has deteriorated. I guess Whitbread is trying to cut costs.

Reateraunt was freezing, to the point I had to order a hot drink and sit with a hoody on. Took over 10 mins at bar to get served for the hot drink. Food was generally decent though I ordered ribs that were supposed to be bbq ribs but had next to no sauce.

Only come here for a couple of pints as they sell, Birra Moretti, Stella and Madri. Like a good pint and these 3 are outstanding. Nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Easy 5 stars from me across the board. The food was fresh and great value, but the truly standout factor was the staff service. Really friendly and proactive when it comes to the customers. Nice general atmosphere and very welcoming to all.

Lovely little afternoon lunch/dinner for 2. Sat out in the beer garden on a glorious sunny day, food was nice, staff so friendly and obliging too.

Another visit to this Restaurant and we weren't disappointed with anything. Despite not booking, they found us a table and very welcoming! Food, service, we couldn't fault, 10 out of 10!

Went there today for lunch. Woman serving was lovely, food awful. Ordered baked potato with chilli, teaspoon of chilli plopped on top of the smallest baked potato. Coleslaw was nice salad tasted sterile. Ordered six chicken wings which was chicken wings thrown in a bowl, no salad, or dip. Paid £22 including two soft drinks. This is the worst place i have eaten in. We certainly won’t be back. Cooking staff clearly uninterested which is a pity as the blonde woman serving was lovely.

Menu has shaved down recently, food arrived tepid to cold, never bothered to put a sign on the soda stream to advise no coke options available. Disappointing.

Took my friend out for lunch today to Brewers Fayre at Linwood as she doesnt keep well or go out very often. Thought this would be a nice treat as we used to visit this restaurant 3 times a week. The large starter was fine but two out of three of the main courses left a lot to be desired. The salad and steak was okay, the fish was fine but chips and peas werent very warm, the chicken with bacon, cheese and bbq sauce was like rubber, salad was discoloured and soggy and the chips were cold. When I told the male server he was less than pleased to take it away, almost snatching it from my hand and all he did was replace the chips. Was not happy at the manner in which the server reacted to me as I wasnt rude in any way. I would have followed him and asked to speak to the manager but didnt want my friend to get upset. Sadly we wont be back

We thoroughly the carvery lunch, quite disappointing. Food cold and overcooked would not recommend

We went here for a family birthday meal. Although there were 15 of us, aged from toddlers to pensioners, the service was really good. Nothing was too much trouble for our server, Nicola. Everyone enjoyed their food and the kids loved the play area. At the end of the meal, I was surprised to be presented with a birthday card and chocolates from the staff. A lovely touch.

Go here a lot and everything is always perfect.

My husband and I were in today for the carvery it was absolutely disgusting the roast potatoes was mush the meat was like leftover was no carrots I asked for some the girl told me they would be out soon along with the Yorkshire puddings the carrots came out it was one carrot chopped up and warmed up never aogot my money back for the food but not for the juice witch we left only to be home and count the money was under charged it was the 12.99 plates

Me my partner and my daughter came here for lunch I got a chicken burger and it was rubbery chicken was not cooked properly waiter came over and made me feel uncomfortable telling me the chicken was fine, absolutely not considering i was the one that was eating it and couldnt even swallow it !!! waiters attitude was disgusting along with there food wont be back

Called there whilst staying next door at The Premier Inn. The place is really nice and very welcoming. The food we ordered was fish pie. It was ok but nothing special. The service was great and very helpful. Had a lovely pint of Guinness

We both had a sirloin steak, which was cooked well. I wasn't too keen on the skin on chips though. Non sugar cola was free to refill, which I thought was good.

Lovely meal and service ,well worth a visit.

Had breakfast here this morning, seemed ok at the time apart from runny egg whites. I didn't think much of it until 4 hours later when the world fell out of my backside. I've eaten here before and didn't feel great then but put it down to something else, but I haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning!!

Short on staff or short on customer service, short on manners (the woman in red) and just generally not a good experience. Shame as some of the none bar staff are nice. There are a few other pubs in the area, go to the farmhouse inn, carvery and better experience all round!!

Very reasonably priced and nice meal for dinner

We spent two weeks in the hotel next door so this was the obvious choice for our evening meals and breakfast was included with the hotel price. Can’t fault the food and the staff were lovely :) As a lifelong vegetarian (not through choice) I can be hard to feed every day for two weeks, it gets a bit boring if the menu isn’t very big. Brewers Fayre had me covered. I can honestly say I’ve tried all their veggie stuff and it was excellent. Husband enjoyed his meaty meals too and service was very good. Some of the tables turned out to not be wheelchair friendly due to their height or the leg width being too narrow but there were others suitable so no problems.

Breakfast not hot enough, no lids on to keep it hot. Family evening meal, some items not hot enough. They did offer to bring more out, but everyone and finished eating.

Recomend the mixed grill./nice burger today 14/3/23 great dervice too.

I was staying in the premier inn next door and work had paid for my meal here. On arrival I was greeted pleasantly by the staff and shown to my seat and told of the food ordering process, with all food and drinks ordered at the bar. I chose nachos to start and then a mixed grill. I placed the order and both courses arrived in good time with a gap between. The food was well cooked and tasty. I can’t drily any of it thank you so much!

Quick attentive service, food was excellent and hot. Prices just right. First class experience.

The carvery despite it being late afternoon was looking past its best, the roast beef was like trying to bite into a brick and the turkey was like cardboard, the ham was decent, sadly the Yorkshire puddings were rock solid and completely over cooked, the macaroni and cheese was horrendous, fee items ordered just didn't come to the table, had to go and chase them up well after all the rest of the food arrived. no hurry to go back.

I was wanting to email the restaurant direct due to the appalling service and food on Saturday 25th Feb 2023 but this is only option. A family of 5 of us,we had booked the table. On time for booking but waited 15 minutes to get staff to come to seat us. Told to order food at bar,2 members of rather frazzled staff. Took about half hour to get order taken then told 30- 45 minute wait. Whilst waiting my husband wanted another drink,again no-one to serve and waited over half an hour,other guests said they had the same problem and also 1 hadn't even received his starter after 40 minutes. When our food finally celebrated out it was cold and 3 lots were sent back,the food was unappealing and looked like it had been sat under a light to dry up and was rubbery. Other items were not brought out then when it was it was the wrong item. Two of the meals came back out the third half hour had to ask again. Overall the staff were not checking and just dumping plates,no-one came to ask about meal we had to keep waiting to find a member of staff to approach. I did not complain on the night as a quick meal turned into hours of horrible food and poor service. Hope you also received other complaints from that night as it is the worst I've ever had

We booked a table of twelve for a special anniversary some of the food was mediocre they got my granddaughters order wrong took it back and she was left for over half an hour had to ask about it twice finally came with no apology

I visited here on the 16th Dec, because i had a free meal voucher lol. The staff were very polite and helpful, the venue was clean and tidy, and nothing seemed to much trouble. I ordered from the christmas menu, the food was great, tasted nice, was hot, and there was loads on the plate. Would I visit again 100% yes, would I recommend... again 100% yes.

Nice and spacious. Staff pleasant. Food was decent. Only issue on this occasion was had to chase up dessert after waiting around 40 minutes after completion of main - we were having 2 courses.

It's been a while since I've eaten at this site. I was taking advantage of their very generous loyalty Festive voucher in December. All fresh decor, good staff customer service and great tomato soup, followed by the Festive Pie, with loads of veg 😀

Food was a bit overcooked, service was good though, and wee play area is good for the kids, probs won't go back though.

Breakfast was not hot just warm. Won't be going back.

Must be the worst food I have eaten on my trip. Really not enjoyable plus on a cold wintery day it would have been nice to have had the radiators on.

Popped in for breakfast before a flight, staff were friendly and helpful, food was OK but cold. Mate with me mentioned to them the bacon was cold. The re-heated it and now it tasted funny. Would possibly give it another chance had it been busier perhaps they would have been renewing the food more

Is what it is, pub grub style food, reasonably priced, lots of seating, family friendly, small play area at the back for kids to play in , menu is ok, food was nice enough, nice big bar area , good choice of beers to choose from

Sandy and chanelle were great serving our dinners even though the food were not to standards burnt and not served dishes all together I know we were a large group but the food served was well below substanded it wasn't orderedbuy chit my order was finished after id eaten so odidnt eat it all as so did pay for something I didn't eat x I was disappointed
