Nice place, good menu and lots to choose from the specials board. I went for a cheese burger and chips. It was delicious. Home made chips were some of the best I have tasted. Chilli jam that came with it was also good. Staff were very friendly. Would go again if staying in the area.

Came on a Sunday night for a pint and the place was very quiet. The barmaid was friendly and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere. There wasn't a lot of choice in beer though; just Tennents and Caledonia on tap so not for the craft beer enthusiast. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center and nearby street parking if it is full. Based on other comments I'll be back to try the food.

Eating dinner in McMillans last night for the umpteenth time I realised I have never reviewed the place. It is right on my doorstep and we pop over for coffees, book it out for family celebrations, or drop in for dinner with old friends, as happened last night. The deli counter has gone and been replaced by booths, which makes it feel more authentically like a restaurant. We had the specials, pork chop and lamb, both of which were done satisfactorily. Service was friendly and prompt. Locals frequent the place and I usually take visitors who are always satisfied. If you are in the West End and looking for something quieter and a little off the beaten track, McMillans fits the bill. I'd call it a hidden gem if it weren't right outside my front window.

My husband and I went to McMillan's Emporium for a coffee and something to eat on a wet Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was quite busy and there were only 2 young girls working. They were so slow. It took forever for our coffee to arrive. By the time we had finished our coffee we still didn't have our pastries, even although we had asked one of the girls twice if they were ready. I am assuming she was heating them even although we didn't need them heated. However, common sense is to heat the pastries before making the coffee. This is not the first time that we have had poor service but it is the worst. Really disappointed. We will not be back.

Was visiting the old place recently and found this new restaurant which was great for a quick coffee on the comfy sofa but then I ended up staying for dinner because it was so nice and relaxed. Dinner was great so I stayed for a drink!I'll definitely be back but with the family next time just to make sure I don't stay there all day again.

I recently had a Christmas dinner in this establishment and I was really impressed, I had been in in the Summer for coffee but they have changed the layout, I understand from the waiter that they removed the deli and increased the table numbers. The waiter was charming and was happy to explain the different menus since it was Christmas. The food was terrific, 'home-cooking' I think you call it, there was also a nice ambience even though it was rather busy.I noticed a piano which I understand will become part of the evening entertainment, I'll definately be back.

This is a great location right in the middle of a neighbourhood where people like going for dinner. This place is always just average though. We used to go a lot because it was so nearby but were always disappointed. The actual place is great, big booths and a lovely deli in the corner. The food is mediocre though, nothing special and it feels like it can't decide whether it's a cafe or a proper restaurant. If they revamped the menu and the way it was all cooked it could be a fab place and would be much busier. For instance - a while back I had chicken ceasar salad - pretty small, dry and unexciting. My husband has given up altogether was fed up with the 'meh' food. This place is good for the kids menu and breakfast but if I was going to spend money going our for a meal I'd go somewhere the food is prepared with more passion and care. The staff can also be quite disinterested - depends who you get. This place actually frustrates me as we would go all the time if it got its act together.

We can walk to this great wee restaurant [just] and tend to visit about once a month. It is an understated place, but the food is always good with a decent choice at a very good price for 2 courses. In addition to plenty of tables there are a couple of sofas at the window where you can watch the world go by with a coffee or a snack.

First time not in down town Glasgow, this place was recommended by the Manor Park Guest house. What a nice find. It's situated in a small group of shops with a nice little deli on one side and the restaurant on the other. The food was fantastic, the service was prompt and the family who run it seemed to work well together getting our 4 dinners sorted out. The dishes we ordered where all well prepared and very tasty. and with Grolsch on tap, there was no complaints from the beer drinkers amongst us. If you find yourself in this part of Glasgow, drop in, you won't be disappointed.

We eat here occasionally - usually lunch. Always happy with the food but on Sunday we went for a full breakfast and it was excellent. Not a smidgen of grease in sight. Everything was perfectly cooked and I particularly enjoyed the fresh mushrooms. There was enough toast to sink a battleship too. Locally, most places don't start serving breakfast until 10 but McMillans opens at 9 which seems much more reasonable as we don't all lie in on Sundays.

The service and taste of the food was great. We ordered drinks and a main course. The portion of salmon we were served for a main meal were less than a half of what a supermarket sells as one slice, i.e. my portion was about 2/3 of inch wide and so was my friend's. Good as a child's portion, but for an adult order starter and desert if you want to avoid feeling hungry.

Travelling back from Kinning Park with my eldest son, I decided to stop off here for a bite to eat as I needed to pick up a few things anyway. Overall, it was some good scran. Aside from the food, I also thought it was brilliantly priced (Kids eating for just £1), the staff were decent and the cleanliness of the seating area was on point. In comparison to the Morrison’s café in Anniesland, which has plummeted in quality over the last four months, it really was night and day in comparison. I opted for the Sweet Chilli Chicken Panini (lovely) and a Cappuccino (unfortunately the machine only poured 2/3 of a mug). The wee man had Pancakes, Crisps and a Fruit Shoot (unfinished but he seemed happy enough with it). I was impressed with the choice on offer - it certainly exceeded what I’d expect from a Supermarket café. Being a fan of Rangers, I’ll most likely be in the area again very soon and would happily head back to Asda.
