After remortgaging the house we decided to get some lunch at the Snack Stop. We had lots of money in the bank and decided to use as much as possible. Suffice to say we weren’t let down. Upshot is if you want a ridiculously expensive lunch on paper plates and cardboard cutlery then this is the place for you. £6.50 for a box of 6 sad looking nuggets , £9.99 for a baked potato with 2 fillings. Keep driving past so your kids will get some Christmas presents this year.

The Green Welly is an iconic stopping place in this part of Scotland and encompasses petrol, station, restaurant, cafe, shop, souvenirs shop etc. We only wanted a coffee but as the snack cafe coffee was from machines we tried the restaurant, only to be beaten to it by a full coach load of tourists. And that is the problem with the Green Welly - it is a tourist haunt so can get very busy. So, not prepared to wait in a queue for a coffee, we popped alongthe road to the Real Food Cafe which is fantastic, so we are unlikely to return to the Green Welly for coffee. We did however have a look round the souvenir shop, which is pretty good.

As we were on a motorbike tour of Scotland, this was an obligatory stop for us. Sit back and enjoy the variety of tourist, motorbikes, cyclists, buses etc... that call in. Great amenities to suits all tastes, good parking, fuel, food, snacks, bathrooms, touristy shop and a well stocked outdoor shop. So glad we finally made it to the mecca of stop offs!

The outdoor shop is announced to be the last possible place to buy equipment for The West Highland Way and they profit from that. Their prices are abusive! I bought a rain jacket for 100 pounds and saw the exact one in the next stop (Inveroran hotel shop) for only 55 pounds!!!

Not a complaint. I bought one of your amazing made on site sandwiches 3 weeks ago for £3.80 Today the same sandwich costs £4.50 Why? Will the price go back to £3.80 in the winter so us regulars don't feel ripped off. Ok so I probably only buy about 20 of your sandwiches a year...if only they weren't so tasty!!!

Queued up like an old BHS cafe. I don't mind that but left feeling robbed. Staff were rushing us and couldn't wait to get us through to the till. My son had a cheeseburger for £12something, and it came in 5 mins so obviously microwaved and didn't even come with chips! My first ever negative review on TripAdvisor, but I feel totally ripped off.

After a long hike, my husband and I grabbed a late lunch at the Green Welly Stop. I ordered a Tuna and Cheddar Cheese toastie and it was scrumptious to the last bite. The flavor of the cheddar was on point, and the cheesiness consistency was perfection. Basically, this toastie was unexpected joy. I highly recommend a visit.

Yet again we presented ourselves at the restaurant for food. As always plenty of choices to consider and even with my food restrictions I still had choices particularly the amount of different soup flavers. I opted for the broth. I also chose a cheese burger with relish and coleslaw on the side. Also chose refillable irn bru glass. The soup was large portion with a lovely homemade flavour. The burger came out shortly after it had a real butchers flavour to it. Really enjoyed all my choices and would recommend to anyone. Will definetely keep coming back.

On our way to fort william we had our usual pit stop. Again we were not disappointed. As expected our food was of the highest standard. I ordered scotch broth soup on the way up and indulged in the full flavour of every spoonful, the chef has created a wholesome stock flavour complementing the ingredients. I opted to try the carrot cake and made a good choice. It had a lovely home made flavour moist and a sweet topping. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and highlight their range of quality soups. Will definitely keep going back. Had more than one sitting as returned couple of days later for another business trip to fort william. Had cock a leekie soup that day with a flapjack and piece of carrot cake. Flapjack was best I have ever tasted. Looking to the next return journey already.

Look, it’s a rest stop - it’s not a 5 star restaurant, but for what it is it’s perfect and a great place to stop. For Americans it is similar to Buc-ees with a restaurant, snacks, merchandise, fuel and even a coin operated washer and dryer! Best part was the very clean restrooms, ample parking and friendly staff who went out of their way to help us when we were having issues with the washing machine. It’s a great place to plan a stop between Glasgow and the Isle of Sky.

Tasted like prison food I kid you not. No flavour, out of date, horrid decor. Prices were ridiculous for the quality offered. Much better food offered at the other locations in Tyndrum by far. Tried this place twice in September, never again.

Amazing customer service, very welcoming and attentive team. Fouad makes amazing food and always greets you with a smile. He has mastered the art of porridge!
