Clachaig Inn in Highland

Getting run down and more than a bit grubby, staff were pleasant enough but there just seems to be a general tardiness everywhere! The owners need to invest some cash in it. Food overpriced for what it is and after walking by the kitchen I wouldn't rush back. Was like stepping back in time to 25+ years ago.

walked 4 mile to this pub as it had been recommended really hot day too the 17th September , arrived before lunch, but were only doing cakes and bottled beer no draught as the back bar was not open. very disanointed got 2 drinks and it was £19.60

We visit here often but last few visits has been deplorable. Table service needs to be put in place to bring some order to the place , it was mayhem and really stressful. Also chef , menu has been the same for YEARS ., please shake it up a bit 👌🏻

Having visited for many years, unfortunately this visit has been very disappointing. I tried to order food and a drink and the servers told me they could only take 1 order at a time. There was a queue of 10 people and no interest in putting more staff on. In fact they had 2 staff who would only serve 1 person because they had only capacity to serve one at a time No one to speak with at bar except those serving. Left without ordering. Really wanted that food…

Passed through on a tour stop. Ordering process and getting a table confusing and order taker behind counter was very rude and confrontational. Recommended to tour operator to stop using this place.

Spent the day with three non UK colleagues showing them the Scottidh scenery. We opted for the Clachaig for a late lunch. The location is stunning and we sat outside to make the most of it. That's the only positive from our visit. Ordering food at the counter took an age. Collecting your own cutlery and food off a table indoors when it's ready! Why can't the staff not just bring it to the table instead of half way?! Food mediocre anyway. This place could do so much better and gets by on its location and previous reputation I'd say. Genuinely felt embarrassed bringing colleagues to this place.
