A lovely little pub. Good food and service. Nice garden.

Placed an order for 24 people online. The staff were very efficient and not a single item was missing. All food was still hot and tasted delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Segunda visita y la misma experiencia horrible después de dar a la primera el beneficio de la duda, solo comensales en el restaurante a las 8. 30 pm, tuve que esperar a una mesa, constantemente bajo presión comiendo gasolina con el personal rondando sobre la mesa para quitar los platos a pesar de que mencionamos dos veces que todavía estábamos recogiendo la comida Sentí como si fuéramos un inconveniente y el personal estaba desesperado por que nos fuéramos, no había pedido la cuenta pero se llevó a la mesa, ni siquiera llegó a beber vinos que habíamos pedido, sin ofrenda de un café después de la comida Qué pena y decepcionado en lo que solía ser un gran restaurante hace años, no vamos a volver!

Really lovely Sunday lunch, very relaxed atmosphere and staff couldn't be friendlier. Food was hot, delicious and just the right amount. A gf brownie for desert was an absolute bonus!

The best dog friendly cafe in the lakes. Gorgeous food and the warmest welcome. This is our go to place when walking in the north lakes. All of the food always hits the spot but the cakes are just gorgeous!

We stayed at the Samson Inn for just one night and had dinner and breakfast. The food, cooked expertly by Adam, was exceptional in taste, presentation and quality. We just loved that everything was genuinely homemade. The ice cream was lush. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The Inn is dog friendly too which is a must for us. The staff were all so friendly with nothing too much trouble. What a fabulous community pub! Thank you.

El desayuno fue uno de los mejores que hemos tenido. Precio estándar, que admite perros, ¿qué más necesitas? 😀 zona aislada, pero vale la pena ir en el coche para visitarlo.

Popped in with our extended family, a baby and a toddler. The staff were so accommodating and everyone was raving about their cakes - some of the best the group had eaten. Lovely cafe.

Entró y volvió a salir. El lugar apestaba a pescado. Estoy seguro de que cualquier pescado que sirvieran estaba delicioso, pero vaya. El olor era abrumador, tanto que como grupo familiar de 10 ni siquiera discutimos si quedarnos o no fue un giro inmediato y nos fuimos a otro lugar.

Love this place, been going for nearly 50 years and have some wonderful memories across all those decades.

Afternoon tea was very disappointing. The finger sandwiches were made from thick bread which really is not acceptable. Quiches etc. Served with a handful of crisps not very attractive. The scones were very doughy and tasteless and the selection of cakes were presented in big chunks. Overall I would describe this as a "clumsy " presentation. The tea was OK but we were not offered a choice.

Pub is closed. Tenants ran off with deposits from event bookings.
