So it’ll be actually our second visit in this place , beautiful setting , the restaurant has good ambience and the food is great . The only negative that I can say is the attitude of one of the waitress, she sat us down on our table and the table is wobbly . My husband has asked for some tissue to balance the table but that didn’t worked. I suggested if she can move us table but she said that they are fully booked, I then said that ,Is she expecting us to eat on a wobbly table and she said yes !!! The same waitress who kept insisting that they don’t served bottled water Despite this we had a lovely dinner , it’s just unfortunate that this waitress lack customer service

Absolutely lovely evening celebrating my 50th birthday. This is our favourite restaurant in Wolverhampton, the staff and management go the extra mile to make it a great night. I am dairy free and they cater very well for this which makes life so much easier. Food is excellent with a varied menu in pleasant conservatory surroundings. Would highly recommend to anyone ....5 star

Review: We had an absolutely fantastic evening! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a perfect night. The food was anmazing and service was quick. A special shoutout to the incredible staff who made the experience truly exceptional. Natalie, Kim, Sam and Lewis were all attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt looked after throughout the night.

We were a big group visiting a friend who lives near here, so after she shared some options, we all chose this place. Location wise, it’s easy to find just off the road and has a good sized car park. As a big group, we’d booked ahead and even though it was sunny, most of the tables are undercover. There’s a small play area too which the 18 month year old with us loved. Also great that they’re dog friendly. We ended up ordering at least one of every dish (see photo of the menu). Service was really good, food was delicious. Definitely recommended.

Had the ham, egg and chips for lunch and there was only one razor thin piece of ham on the plate. It was so thin I couldn't even taste it. I think the management are very stingy to pass this off as a portion and I will never go back there again or recommend the place because of this. That being said, the broccoli and stilton soup was divine as was the dark Belgian chocolate tart. I wish I had have complained at the time now but I didn't want to spoil the occasion and the waitress was so lovely. This is all on the management to ask the kitchen staff to serve up such meagre portions of ham. A very short sighted way to do business in my opinion. What a shame.

We had booked for a party of 20, though had a few drop out through illness. After drinks in the very friendly bar we were asked to make our way to the restaurant. Wow!! The pub had really pulled out all the stops for us. Decorated tables and everything. Food and service was fantastic. The two minor complaints were dealt with very quickly and satisfactory. Well done the Elm Tree, Rock Choir will be back I'm sure.

Having read the reviews we decided to book for a family lunch. There was a limited range of drinks available and the food served was barely luke warm and pretty small portions with one of our party not having any meat at all with their roast potatoes and veg. The choice for dessert was ice cream only so we decided to cut our losses and went to a nearby farm shop for coffee and cake. All in all a very disappointing experience.

Generally the food and service was ok but one small chipolata sausage for the kids meal with chips and beans for over £6 was very disappointing. I did mention it to the waitress. I understand how some customers might try it on ordering kids meals for adults but this was barely enough for our 18 month old grandson and definitely not enough for our 3 year old.

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Verzon House. I was so pleased we chose to stay half board as the food, both breakfasts and evening meals were perfect! The taste and presentation of all the food we had was incredible, we were both very impressed. All the staff we met were very professional and polite and we were made to feel very welcome. A welcome that also extended to our dog Ziggy, who also enjoyed accompanying us for the short stay. Our room, Midsummer Hill was everything we’d hoped for and more. The bed extremely comfortable, the decor lovely, the shower was excellent. Having a small jug of milk in the fridge was also great to see, it’s normally the first thing I ask for when we stay somewhere, but this time i didn’t have to! Our room and the whole Hotel was extremely clean, decorated to a high standard and has a lovely character. If we lived closer we’d be a regular for dinner but I can say we will definitely return for another break.

We had some of the best fish and chips from S & E we've ever had when we stayed in West Bay 2 years ago, so were prepared to wait the 40 minutes it took to be served. We were unsure why it took so long: there were long periods when no-one moved at all. We wish we hadn't done so, as the chips were not nice to eat (they looked grey, were not crisp, and tasted "earthy") and the batter on the plaice was hard and very thick. The only good thing was the plaice itself. That's why I gave more than 1 star. Will we bother to queue again when there is so much competition within a few yards? Very unlikely.
