Chequers Fayre and Square in North East Derbyshire

Great service great value what's not to like. They have loads of offers but the lunchtime menu deal is with the cost of living the best value for miles around. Much better value than a certain carvery place not far away. Kitchen staff are faster than lighting as well.

Lived in the area over 10 years and it's our pub of choice wether sitting out side with our dog or sitting inside. Staff always freindly drinks and food alway good. Darren alway professional and courteous as with all the staff.

Family Sunday Dinner was perfect! We booked our table with no problems through the web but arrived a little earlier and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. The food was really nice, our three kids were really well looked after with some Halloween crafts and we weren’t kept waiting long for anything. All in an all a great experience and will return! Thank you.

We use the Chequers very often at different times of the day/evening and we are never disappointed. The food is always delicious and well served by the staff. We go there at least once a week and also for family gatherings, birthdays, anniversary’s. We are never disappointed. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

What a tasty new menu. Love the Friday Bogoff. The service was great. The food was fresh and hot. The chips were amazing. Served by 2 bubbly helpful waitresses Nicole and Lauren. Nothing was too much trouble for them. That's why we return because all the staff are really friendly. The odd time when the food wasn't quite as good. Called in tired after finishing work at the docks. As always greeted with smiling helpful staff, full of beans and very knowledgeable on new offers looking smart and determined. Customer service more than exceeds my expectations everytime I visit. 🙂

This place serves the best pint of beer in Dronfield!! I always call for a beer and then end up having a fabulous meal too! Highly recommend 👌

We visit at least at least a week for various meals ie breakfast lunch and tea. We go with family and friends and we really enjoy it there. The food is excellent for the price and of what I consider to be a high standard. If there is a problem it is dealt with quickly the staff are friendly and helpful. Visited the wacky warehouse and were fortunate to be greeted by a charming lady called Becky who made us really welcome. Her customer service skills were fantastic to the point that we will return just based on that.

Fast service by friendly staff, serving excellent food at reasonable prices. Would I come again, actually yes I would revisit. Had two Sunday lunches, two burgers and a mixed grill between the 5 of us..... plus drinks around £70.

Absolutely crap, don't order anything, especially the burgers I mean like me and my mum had the smokin jack burger and it tasted like dog crap, for any people wanting to eat here I strongly advise not to make the same mistake I did. Improve your game Hungry Horse, immediately!

Wonderful relaxing atmosphere lovely accommodating staff took my granddaughter of 4yrs and wanted to take her into the wacky warehouse that's why I booked the meal there unfortunately on the Web page for booking 2 options drink & Dine...Wacky warehouse you cannot book both so booked the drink and dine for 3pm and when we went into Wacky warehouse was told we had to book and couldn't go in anyway due to a party...Hungry Horse be more explicit? On you Web site So if I booked the meal for 3pm I couldn't have got into wacky warehouse anyway? So do I book the meal 1st or wacky warehouse? Our steaks we asked for medium both of us ...they came rare either the wrong button was pressed on the till or the chef doesn't know medium from rare? The mash potatoes my granddaughter had with chicken nuggets was overly microwaved so hard asked for butter and milk to make them edible you can buy frozen aunt bessies add milk & butter more like mash than the crap you use ....Well lovely pub but won't be returning ...its just typical pub grub...Mrs Allison 3pm 10/02/24

We arrived quite late on a Sunday evening but the chef remained and cooked our meal. The staff were very happy to serve us late. Food was excellent value for money freshly cooked.

Just really good value for money, friendly service. We go here every week , this meal was New Year’s Day with family, I can honestly say a lovely tasty hot meal, served promptly by friendly and very busy staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
