As a family, we’ve been a huge fan of Rapps for years, and have always loved the food and the brilliant service that Greg, Nicol, Jacob and the team provide on a weekly basis. Because of this, we asked if we could host my sister’s 30th birthday celebrations there, and saying they went above and beyond is an understatement. The care and consideration they put in to every element was unbelievable, from the choice of food provided, to the warm and friendly service and even remembering everyone’s favourite food and drink. We knew it would be good but they absolutely blew us away. We can’t thank the Rapps team enough for doing everything in their power to make the evening as special as possible. Whether it’s a coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner or a special occassion, we 100% recommend Rapps for an excellent experience every time without fail!

Every time we visit Saltburn, we always come here for breakfast. Great service and very friendly staff. Food is always fantastic and without a doubt, the best coffee in Saltburn!

had take away from them the other month, the pizza had far too much flour on the base, it was so dusty and dry and just horrible on your tongue. the fries were cold and chewy, obviously reheated. the only decent thing was the garlic bread, that's not saying much though, it was a bit burnt in some places. on the way out as I was picking it up, the owner stood in the doorway chatting to people while I stood there waiting to get out with my food getting cold. I did say excuse me, but I guess he didn't hear. the waiting staff are usually very nice though. sad to see a lovely place go so downhill :( cocktails are lovely though!!

Had breakfast and eveening meal at Rapps, during out stay in Saltburn. Full English is fantastic, excellent tasting sausages, thick cut bacon, some of the tastiest black pudding ever, mushrooms that taste of mushrooms, beans that haven't been messed with, all with a toasted muffin. Excellent pancakes and syrup for the little ones. The baked hake is simply delicious and one of the best meals I've eaten out in a long long time the thermodore sauce is amazing and the smashed potatos, green beans and tenderstem briccoli cooked just right. Frickin Chicken burger was delicious, as was the stick beef pappardelle. Little one loved the pepperoni pizza. Lemon meringue sundae feeds two if you've eaten all your main. Whipped cream, ice cream and a smashed meringue, with a fantastic lemon sauce that hits hard when you reach the bottom of the bowl. Draught bitter excellent as is the IPA if you like it hoppy. Service staff are cheerful, helpfull and knowledgeable especially when you have 3 generations eating.

Had a great Goats cheese salad. Would be happy to eat there again.

Went for an anniversary dinner and the staff were helpful and attentive, nice dinner atmosphere and amazing food. Cocktails were really good too.

I rarely post about food but this place is 👌.First night in saltburn I ate here with my wife. I had the smokey burger the first night and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The second night I had beef pappadelle pasta 👌 slow cooked beef and it was so tasty. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful food and friendly staff.

Beautiful breakfast spot. Coffee and hot chocolate were lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. Went the last day before our holiday finished and had a lot of luggage via suitcases and backpacks. Gave us a 4 seater table to keep our luggage safe. Really lovely service, definitely recommend this spot.

Had the gluten free breakfast (no hash browns and grilled instead of fried). Nice ingredients, well cooked and tasty. Good service and were asked about allergies. Nice americano. My only complaint would be the thin, vinegary ketchup

Stopped for a cuppa, sat outside with our dog. Friendly, helpful staff. Had a very tasty Creole scone and a delicious peppermint chocolate slice. Delicious!

Lovely cafe to rest after a walk. We ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (minus fried egg) and Welsh rarebit. Both equally scrumptious. Definitely be visiting again

Visited today with my husband for breakfast. We started with two lattes & they arrived at room temperature. My husband had a full English breakfast & I had Eggs Royale. The food was leuk warm, like it had been sat under a hot light. There was no check back throughout our breakfast, only asked when she came to clear the plates away. Very disappointed & over priced at £31

Having had several daytime visits to Rapps, when visiting Saltburn, I've always been very happy with every aspect. Last night was a friend's birthday dinner ... what a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, relaxed and efficient. 11 meals came out at the same time and were all delicious. 🤩

£16 for a basic, but nice burger and fries.

Went for lunch over Easter so it was always going to be busy!!! We were told there was a 45 minute wait for food at the outset which was good to know. Food was really good- pork belly flatbread, chicken wrap, scampi and rarebit, drinks and decent sized puddings worked out around £23 pp plus a good tip for good service. Great spot.

The issue I have with this place is some of the staff. One lady with long black hair was very rude and unwelcoming. I've visited on a few occasions and also witnessed staff belitting others in front of customers. Very unprofessional. No complaints about the food but I'd be hesitant to revist.

We visited Saltburn on a sunny February day from Middlesbrough and had lunch at Rapps, a restaurant that we normally use. We both had the sea-bass which (for sea food) was well-priced. The sea bass was cooked with chorizo, green and black olives, cherry tomatoes, and new potatoes. It was absolutely delightful. The staff are friendly and it's a great unassuming place for an informal meal. We've never been dissapointed.

Had the most amazing breakfast at Rapps this morning. The place was absolutely packed and we had to wait for a table but it was definitely worth the wait. The full English breakfast was delicious, top quality produce. Although it was really busy the service was really good.

My husband and I had the Full Breakfast today and I can honestly say the best and tastiest I have had in a long time and the Staff are so pleasant

We called in for pre dinner drinks on New Years Eve. The place, as you can imagine was rammed, so unfortunately there were no seats on arrival. We had a bottle of rose, which was served without an ice cooler, which wasn’t ideal. The bar area downstairs is intriguing, with various small rooms. Worth a look if you’re ever in Sunny Saltburn.

Popped on here for the first time recently for a couple of cocktails. Couldn't believe how busy it was! Constant stream of customers coming in. We didn't have food, as we were still stuffed from afternoon tea at 19.. but menu seems to be mainly Italian & burgers?

Food was absolutely beautiful, all 4 of us got different breakfast and all said the same. The coffee was OK, had better but that was only my opinion from the table. Service was perfect. Will be definitely be returning!

A really nice chilled atmosphere, the food was very nice tasty and well presented. A friend and myself shared so we could leave room for pudding. Staff were suitably attentive. Have lunched here a few times and will definitely be returning.

Called in on speck for a full Ebglish breakfast. We had an excellent breakfast, a huge breakfast! Beans weren't very hot, but who cares about beans? The rest of it was splendid! Coffee was great too...Will definitely be back next time we are in Saltburn!

Delicious food , whether it’s breakfast , lunch or dinner. Quality produce , quality staff and a fun, relaxed place to be. Highly recommend, lots of cafes opening in Saltburn, honestly I would stick to the old faithfuls like Rapps. Good choice of drinks too , quality brands ! A must go to if you haven’t already. Great place for a catch up with friends for cake and coffee.

Stayed in Saltburn in 2022 and am back now in 2023. Staying at a self-catering flat I thoroughly enjoy the occasional dinner at a local place. Rapp's menue, whether for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, tickles my taste buds. Very enjoyable food, fully licensed with a nice cocktails menue as well. Will definitely come back.

We had an enjoyable lunch in this cafe. There's a nice cafe atmosphere to the place, customers chatting, the coffee machine whirling, and general preparation of orders. Overall the service was friendly and efficient, although there seemed to be a bit of a wait for the food to be served. There's a reasonable variety of dishes on the menu, which includes a kids menu, and vegetarian options. Overall, the food was good, freshly prepared and flavourful. Portion size and value for money seems a little mixed. We felt the Caesar salad wasn't very generous for £11.95.

Discovered this delightful cafe after a long and warm walk along the Cleveland Way. It hit the spot. 😋 The food was so flavoursome. Also, the ambience of the cafe was friendly and relaxed. There was some light music playing in the background which added to the ambience but did not overpower. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. I would definitely recommend Raps Cafe.

We stopped in for breakfast on our way home from holiday. I had the egg royale (poached egg and smoked salmon on sour dough with hollandaise sauce) and Darren had the full English breakfast. Tasty food in every mouthful. Best breakfast in ages! Highly recommended!

One of the few places in Saltburn that open early for breakfast. This is why we ended up here but we were so glad we did. We wanted something a bit special as it was our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxing

Well this place is amazing! Popped in after checking TripAdvisor reviews and glad we did. Staff friendly and helpful, food gorgeous. I had the chicken shwarma wrap and hubby had blt ciabatta. Lovely food, lovely coffee and very nice decor.

I've been twice for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Seated straight away. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast menu is quite substantial for what they offer, they cater for vegans vegetarians carnivorous and gluten free diets. Each breakfast is priced from £7 to about £12 ,also there's a good selection of hot and cold drinks...

Fabulous Breakfast and coffee. Friendly, efficient service. Sourdough rolls were scrummy and lasted us a whole day walking the Coastal Path👍.

Wow the breakfast at this place was so amazing we ditched all the other restaurants we had planned to have breakfast at and ended up having breakfast here everyday for the rest of our stay! Good hot drinks, outstanding food and good service.

Mums 96th birthday. They made a lemon cake especially and put candles on and sang happy birthday. The staff were so lovely and mum enjoyed it very much.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The atmosphere was lovely. However, the food was for myself overpriced for what it was. £11.50 for a ceaser salad. It was one chicken breast with leaves and no parmasan cheese. The dressing was a bit over. I just personally wouldn't pay that for what I got.

I have lived here since 2017 and had never been in Rapps I have to say that was my loss and I wish I had gone in before . It can get busy and it's not that cheap but the food is good the service was spot on and I have been back a few times since and not had a bad meal yet. Next target is a Sunday breakfast if I get up in time. Just a quick visit coffee and cake treated just the same as if I was a party of 4 my reward to me and very much enjoyed.

Sheltered here after 6 mile Beach walk. Prompt friendly service and top notch chilli with rice. Always have good snacks and cakes here. Handy for the station back to Redcar for me.

I always visit Rapps on my own when I visit Saltburn. The food is great and staff wonderful and welcoming.
