Queens Arms Restaurant in Redcar and Cleveland

Once again we had another superb meal in the Blood Tub for our tea. All 5 of us throughly enjoyed our meals. We had Steak pie chips and vegetables,gammon pineapple and trimmings with chips and veg, chicken in garlic sauce with chips and salad, and two lots of chicken in peppercorn sauce with chips and salad. All reasonably priced considering how much you get, the quality of the food and it tastes lovely. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place and plan on returning again soon. Forgot to take photos on this occasion

Every meal we've had had surpassed expectation. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a cosy atmosphere because they stagger bookings and they don't cream as many people in as possible. Highly recommended.

Called in while we were away 3 of us and 2 dogs. Was told there might be a wait due to staff shortages but didn’t wait long at all. Food was amazing would highly recommend.

Been here a few times for evening meal, booking advised as it gets busy. Staff very friendly and food is great. Small carpark around the back. Beer garden if you like to sit outside. Good choice of menu and value for money. Would recommend the parmo and steak and mushroom pie and steak with chips cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again.

Wow!! A very warm welcome for my husband and I and our 2 Border Collies!! Outstanding, friendly, efficient service and amazing food!! Large portions of quality home cooked food which was divine, they even provided us with boxes to take away our leftovers!! Would definitely recommend and will be back when we’re next in Brotton!!!

Another quality, delicious meal! We had another meal in the Blood tub and as usual didn’t disappoint. The food is always very tasty, fresh and of good quality. Portion sizes are big, just difficult to leave it when it’s that nice. Would highly recommend the peppercorn chicken!

We went here last night for a good old parmo! I love going here. Parmo cooked to perfection with salad and home cooked chips, smothered in garlic sauce. No room for pudding but hopefully next time. I would definitely recommend this little pub ❤️

Personally, and family, find The Queens Arms on another level. They produce products to such a high quality, but then combine it with a quantity that's belly busting but at that cost level that you know it's well worth it and start planning your next visit. They have that balance just right. Inside it's not a huge venue, so it creates that personal and quaint feel to it. There is seating out the back with few parking spots too. Service has always been with a smile, polite and always helpful. This visit I shared their (in their menu words: HUGE) 12" deep pan half and half parmo, it was exactly as mentioned, and mouthwateringly beautiful. Another of our party got a steak which I'm planning on having myself if I can resist their other parmos. Great place, get yourself in and try.

Lovely little pub with a wonderful selection of food and drink. Both Sunday Roast and Parmo for main and sticky toffee pudding for desert is definitely to recommend. They also have dedicated parking if you come by car. The service is lovely, quick and very personable

Had an amazing dinner when my family came to visit. An absolutely wonderful time, knowlageable and friendly staff that'll treat you like family. They have amazing food, you won't want for another portion everything was served family style which worked nicely and we were provided with some amazing delicious food. I can highly recomend their burgers and I advise everyone to try their chips. Everything was perfectly seasoned and wonderfully cooked and presented. My only gripe is that the music was a little loud but its unavoidable in the cosy space we were sat in to avoid hearing everyone's conversations. Overall an amazing experiance and I highly recomend going if you're in the area. Also dog friendly!

Large servings but veg were a little too Al dente for my taste.

Booked for Sunday lunch as we were staying at a b&b nearby and we were very impressed. Cosy dining area in the bar, nicely decorated for Christmas. Warm welcome too. The value for money of the roast for the size of portion received was excellent. Sadly we didn’t have room for all the veg… sorry! Felt nice to support a local pub too. Would definitely go again.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. Lovely atmosphere decorated to a really high standard. The service was superb the waiters were all really friendly and very helpful as we had a member of our party that was gluten free. There’s a car park to the rear. I’ve been in past with family member with young children and the staff were absolutely great with them. It’s a warm cozy feel and the menu has an impressive range of choice. The portions are ideal not left hungry. Plenty of chips and veg too. Wish I’d taken some pictures as the food was well presented not just tasty. A true little gem in our area!

Pretty good Sunday roast, but a bit hit n miss... The beef was tough as old boots and the turkey dry. Most of the veg was boiled and lacked any seasoning. But there was loads of gravy and the cauliflower cheese and stuffing was amazing. Great service. Could do with some more interesting beers behind the bar.

We were a group of 17 staying a mile away and had pre booked our meals prior to coming. We were given the room at the back and was really nice. A few of us ordered starters and everyone a main. The food was great all came out together all hot and the portions were large and sides plenty too. A few had puddings which again were delicious would definitely recommend and if ever in the area would visit again lovely pub and the bar staff/waitresses and waiter were all fab and attentive. Thank you 👍

Had a lovely meal with family,who was visiting. They treated me and my guy too. My aunties and their friends, we all loved our meals. 3 of us had the Rib eye steak was delicious. Definitely will be coming again. We was all full and next time I be having a pudding.🙂🙂🙂Definitely recommend the Rib eye steak it is wonderful.

It's been a while since we last visited. The place has been fully refurbished and looks fantastic. The service and atmosphere was great as always. The Sunday lunch went down a treat.

Absolutely Fantastic! Went for dinner…then again for Sunday roast the next day! We’re staying locally, and found by accident. Service was friendly, and for someone who has eaten a lot of Sunday dinners over the years, it was one of the best. VERY REASONABLE prices, top quality food! A must if you are in North Yorkshire!!

Excellent food. Good value for money

We popped in for a quick drink on a midweek evening. The staff were friendly but the atmosphere felt a bit stilted. I was disappointed with the selection of beers and ciders on draft, it would be great to see some local ales available considering the wealth of local breweries producing really good beer.

After returning to the establishment we were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our table. Rang up to book a table last week for my partner and I and asked if they had space for two plus a baby. On arrive there was hand sanitiser to use to prevent the spread of any virus which was to be expected from such professionals. We were seat in the newly refurbished bar which looked fantastic I must say with plenty of space and distance from other customers. There was a limited menu due to the reopening of this brilliant little pub but there was still plenty of choice. We sat in a lovely peaceful environment and enjoyed a drink until our food arrived. The food was astonishing with hand cut chips, homemade chicken Parmos and coleslaw. I would recommend this pub to anyone wanting very good quality food and service! We even had the chance to meet the owners of the queens arms who were really welcoming and friendly. Overall a great experience tonight and will definitely be returning again!

The Queen's Arms was recommended to us. We had booked a table. The menu was limited as they had only just opened up the night before, following COVID-19 restrictions. This was completely understandable. As a vegetarian, there were 2 options but one was sold out, so that left the mozzarella burger, which I really did fancy. I asked what it was like and it was described as though it was a piece of mozzarella, smothered with delicious herbs and flavours. When it arrived it was a vegeburger in a bread roll, with some salad inside. It tasted bland. When I asked why it was called a mozzarella burger, because there is no mozzarella in it, she asked the kitchen. She returned and said that it is from their supplier and is a Linda McCartney burger. I paid approximately £10 for a £1 frozen burger. The other members of the party all chose the steak burger, expecting it to be steak - but it was a small thin burger in a bread roll, with no salad or dressings. They believed that there's were also frozen burgers. This is our opinion. The pub is like a converted house and towards the end of our visit, we did feel as though we were in someone else's living room, as the other customers all knew each other. All in all, a disappointment. If the menu said a vegeburger and a beef burger, that would be different,but to sell what we believe to be frozen burgers as a mozzarella burger and a steak burger is extremely misleading - and to charge what they charge is shocking. We will not return.

I have rang 4 times was told ring back at 12 did that ring back in half hour done that then told ring back in 30 minutes rang a again then some picked the phone up and put down without talking rang back and said we fully booked I know it’s strange times but I think if they want to survive in the current situation service should be first class so now left to late for any where else so really disappointed

We think that the Sunday lunches provided by this pub are the best to be found locally. There is a choice of meat and a range of vegetables. The prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Warm and cosy village pub with dog friendly bar area or a separate dining room if you prefer. Decent choice of food on the menu including the best steak pie I have ever eaten!! Not the cheapest but great quality food and generous portions make it worth it.

8 of us had a lovey meal here. All meals were very tasty. Homemade chips were gorgeous. Only a little place but would highly recommend. Goin in a couple of weeks for christmas meal, looking forward to that. Prices very reasonable.

The food was absolutely brilliant. One of the best pubs I've ever been to for food. Their pie left me with a huge smile, and their sponge pudding with custard... My God!!!

We had another really ample lovely tea. Two off us had the Parmo/chips/ coleslaw and the other person had Gammon/chips/salad. Food was very tasty and really large portions.Only criticism is that the pub can be quite dark in places, but it’s an old pub. This doesn’t affect the food but makes reading the menu difficult.

Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Well cooked and good sized portions mean you leave the Queens feeling satisfied and looking forward to another visit. We had the rump steak and it was cooked to how we like it served with chips and fresh garden style vegetables. Attentive and polite staff too.

My local pub (well at too end of village) and always friendly welcome and meals & desserts are just lovely. Been a few times with friends & work colleagues and fun times had.

We decided to give this place a try after getting good reviews from a couple of friends.It is a funny old fashioned place when you enter, described as a bit like your ‘grandmothers front room’ with odd chairs and cushions.It doesn’t immediately look like somewhere you would expect to get the standard of food that came as both meals we had were not only fantastic quality but the portion sizes are also extremely generous!My wife orders the chicken skewers and it probably would have been enough for both of us.There is plenty of choice on the menu including a number of exciting vegetarian options which was a pleasant change to most pubs and it was all reasonably priced.The only slight negative was it took quite a long time coming however this would suggest it is all cooked from fresh and it was well worth the wait when it did come!We will definitely be returning

Friendly, good service and good food

Had a table booked, arrived before time, put our order in and then waited 1hr 25 mins for it to arrive. No one advised us when we ordered how long the wait would be, no one came and apologised for our wait until they actually served the meal then they did apologise. Other people were also asking how long their meal would be. The pub didn’t seem busy when we arrived. After saying all that the food was very nice but was it worth the wait, no. It will be a long time before we return.

Surprising Dog Friendly little pub with nice food and friendly service. It was hot and we wanted to take the dog with is to eat... not a problem eating in the bar area . Add in very 1980,s music and decor (in the bar) it felt like we were reliving our youth...

Visited whilst on holiday nearby. We are in the restaurant but can also eat in the bar. Made mistake both of us had a starter and a main portions are huge but will pack anything to takeaway that you can't eat. Had soup, steak and gammon all well cooked.unable to eat a sweet. Prices excellent would recommend to anyone.

Had a fantastic meal here with my son and daughter. Gorgeous home made chips, very generous portion sizes and excellent choice of food on menu. Very reasonable prices and staff very friendly. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

I hate leaving reviews for this pub, because each time I do, more people get to know this hidden gem. Food is tasty and comes in large amounts. Great staff. Be warned you do need to book a table as restaurant is very small. I could gush about the place, but then you would think my review false. Why not just do yourself a favour and try it for yourself? You'll be glad you did.

What a surprise! Went for a ride out today and ended up at the Queens Arms. Asked for a table which was available and ordered two main courses. The steak came perfect cooked with a giant tower of onion rings and plenty of mushrooms cooked perfectly with a super creamy pepper sauce. The steak pie was the best I have had in many a year and enough to feed an army! Then a large bowl of well cooked chips arrived and a bowl with four different vegetables to polish it off. I could not find a fault with the food at all and it was well worth the wait. I cannot recommend this place as an eatery highly enough and hopefully I will be in the area with a big appetite soon!

Traveled 250 miles from the South to visit family for Christmas. Arrived at 9pm as kitchen was closing. However, the chef was most welcoming and accommodating. Had the most amazing homemade steak pie (brought a tear to my other half’s eye as it was just like Mum used to make ) Thank you for such a lovely evening. Reasonable prices for a truly home cooked and old friend welcome. We are coming back! x

This is a place to savour. A friendly, fab village pub. Great food. Generous Yorkshire portions. Lots of choices. Veggies catered for. Traditional pub food at its best with a few tasty surprises too. Brotton is lucky to have such an obliging, family-friendly, hostelry. Heartily recommend. Small bar with large selection of beers, wines and spirits, including craft gins. Delightful.
