The best restaurants serving British food in England

We came here for dinner following a recommendation. The setting and service was faultless. Our starters were excellent. Unfortunately what we chose for our mains were a little underwhelming. We did feed this back and it was handled extremely well.

We enjoyed Christmas lunch at The Lakeside in Newquay this year, and it was amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and festive, creating the perfect setting for a celebration. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed and the food was delicious! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend The Lakeside!

The food was absolutely delightful. We ordered the croffle and ice cream, both of which were exceptional. Aliya provided outstanding service, ensuring a wonderful dining experience✨❤️

Waited here at the door for 10 minutes. Staff acknowledged us but were too busy asking people how their food was/ delivering menus late to other customers. We left after not even being told if there would be a wait time (there were chairs free at the bar)

Cada vez que visitamos Londres siempre terminamos tomando pizza o un sándwich de un café de cadena, ya que no podemos encontrar ningún lugar que sirva opciones de almuerzo saludables. Este fin de semana decidí buscar en Google cafés que tuvieran un menú más normal a la hora del almuerzo. Sal y pimienta apareció en los resultados de búsqueda y decidimos probarlo. Tenía mi papa favorita con queso y frijoles. Me quedé impresionado con el café y haré visitas regulares cuando esté en Londres en el futuro. El precio era bueno y el personal era amable y servicial.

Fantastic afternoon the service, and food was exceptional and all my party of 8 sand their praises. Lovely atmosphere friendly and relaxing.

Had Lunch In Greens.. memories are fond as this was a restaurant i spent a lot of time at as a Younger Child. The prices are quite high but the food was really tasty 🩵 Views offered over the padstow estaury are really beautiful. Altogether its a must visit but it is much better in the summer for the views. Hasnt changed in years which is fab , offers fond memories for those returning to padstow after years of not coming

Went for a pre Christmas family lunch food was so tasty and hot the slow cooked beef was delicious

A great spot to catch up with friends over cake & coffee. Beautifully decorated for Christmas & staff so welcoming & helpful. My only grumble was that the cake was a little dry, I’ve had better there before. But still delicious & edible.

Nice place. Dropped in for a coffee with some friends. Service was spot on, prices good and atmosphere is lovely. Dropped in again. As good as ever.

Really lovely carvery. Lots of choice and served very hot. The gravy was delicious too. Staff all lovely and nice, attentive service. We have already booked to go back later this week!

Just returned from the Tatton Arms, what a lovely warm, welcoming place it is. We love having Sunday lunch out and we weren't disappointed, when the meal arrived I saw the massive Yorkshire pudding and thought oh no! as when they are that big they are often tasteless, but what a lovely surprise to find out how tasty it was. Everything on the plate was really enjoyable and well-presented. Another surprise was to see how much gravy was on the meal and it tasted good. Very recommendable.

It's just lovely. Place is clean and warm. Food is tasty and fresh, staff super nice. Big thank you to Gail, Cleaf and Karl for looking after us.
