The best restaurants serving British food in England

Went to boot room as part of hospitality package.set 3 course menu was awful,when it did arrive it was smaller than a child’s portion. Soup starter was cold, main meal was pathetic and sweet was tiny.we had to sit at a table with another family,they were nice but it wasn’t what we expected.you have to pay for any drinks, even water.All this was £400 each,£1200!!!!! in total(match ticket was included).In my opinion this was an absolute rip off and will never ever do this again.WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Behind the unobtrusive front we found a great little restaurant serving a range of delicious food. Got to say had the best chicken wrap ever! Service was excellent with staff literally running up and down the 3 levels. Style was urban chic.

I had a lovely festive family meal here today. The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were all so lovely and accommodating. The atmosphere was fantastic, beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations that added a special touch. I would definitely recommend this place and will most certainly be visiting again!

Great tea spot for amazing views of Big Ben and parliament! Tetiana was our serving and was great!! Lots of different tea options!

4 of us had Christmas lunch actually on Christmas Day and it was absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The time in between courses was just right, it wasn’t rushed which gave us chance to chat and make room for the next course! It’s something we haven’t experienced before and are already looking forward to next year! Thank you to David for his efficiency in organising and to his lovely team, you are a credit to the business

Lovely little bar and eatery right in the harbour so perfect views Staff was very friendly and seemed happy to be there Got to try there cocktails there amazing flavors Little bit dearer for some items but that the price you pay for quality Popped back a few times whilst we stayed there last week

Simply fantastic in all areas. It's fairly simple but delicious food and excellent service. This was our second visit and just as good as the previous. Prices all reasonable and the food was excellent home cooked pub grub. Recommend booking due to it being quite popular. Environment and atmosphere not too noisy either.

A big thank you to the chef and catering staff for our delicious Christmas lunch at the White Horse. Excellent service by Abi and the team. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all 6 🌟s all round.

We initially found the pub while looking for somewhere to stay in our van. Very reasonable rates. The booking was last minute but this was no problem. A quiet rural spot with hard standing pitches in the winter months. Facilities were clean and close to the camp area. The pub was warm and cosy with a wide range of food choices which were reasonably priced. Matt was particularly friendly and helpful and was one of the reasons we decided to turn one night into three. A great location for walking and brilliant to return to for a cosy night out. We will definitely be back!

Only one word: perfect place!!!

We have eaten here before and had a great experience. We came for a birthday celebration as a table of 10 and did a pre order. We had a drinks order taken and food arrived shortly after at 6pm which was great. We were not then offered another drink for the rest of the meal despite taking our plates away and bringing desserts. When one of our party asked the female staff member for some more drinks, he was told to go to the bar to order despite us being a table of 10 and sat at a table which I thought was rude. He said we have a few drinks to order and she said she would come back shortly, she then proceeded to stand around drinking red bull. At this point we no longer wanted to purchase a drink here it had been 5 minutes and still no drinks order taken. Our bill was £283 so you’d think we’d have been offered a better service. We had to ask for the bill and had to go to the bar ourselves to pay the bill. Table service was non existent after our pre ordered puddings were bought out. Very disappointed. Also wouldn’t recommend the biscoff cheesecake it was awful and the texture was definitely not that of a cheesecake more like a rubbery mousse

Was really quiet in there but it was a Tuesday night. Went for my dad's 80th birthday. The staff were really friendly and did everything they could to welcome us. Had a selection of meals which were all tasty. Would definitely recommend and would go again. Thank you to the 3 ladies that made the celebration a great family evening

First visit with my friend to The Printers and it didn't disappoint. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was stunning. Portions were very generous and the staff super friendly and accommodating. We had a starter and a main course each with a couple of sparkling waters. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you for a fab meal 😍.
