Lovely little family run cafe I had a freshly cooked breakfast and a pot off tea and enjoyed every mouth full. P.s ther was music playing and not radio rubbish but old school 60,s 70,s blues....excellent

Saw the cafe from the car in the pouring rain. We were ready for lunch. Chose home made steak pie and chips and gravy plus a cheesecake and coffee. All were top quality!

All the food is homemade, traditionally and freshly cooked. Nutritious and hearty, excellent value with friendly and welcoming service.

Both of us had a lovely cooked dinner. Fresh veg, plenty of well cooked meat with piping hot gravy. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Also plenty of takeaway sandwiches on offer. Highly recommended

To the idiot who said that this little gem was bloody awful think he needs to rethink his life the idiot he must of got this place mixed up with another place The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful and cater to your needs where they can And as for the kitchen and place being dirty you could eat your food off the floor I highly recommend this place if you want good food reasonably priced and a warm welcome 5 star service

Absolute disgusting cafe, pre cooked and packaged horse muck. The state of the cooking area is nothing more than shambolic. Grease on surfaces, dirt and grime can also be seen. We had no other option than to cancel our order and leave. Would not recommend, unless you enjoy being unwell

We always call in here for breakfast when in Hartlepool. Absolutely stonking value, all cooked to perfection and all for £3-50 which includes aTea or coffee. Exceptionally clean and you can sit and watch the world go by whilst eating your breakfast. I really do not know where the two negative reviews below come from, think they must have visited another cafe!! You will not be disappointed.

Great service and very good prices. Had the roast dinners which were plentiful and delicious. Extensive menu and good selection of teas and coffees. Service with a smile. Desserts sounded good but no room for one!! Not much room in there and next time I must remember to pick up the salt pourer instead of the sugar pourer (Which was next to the pepper so easily done). Sweet chips!!

Amazing. Me and my husband were going to York for the day at the train station, being put off by rowdy characters in the neighbouring Lloyd’s bar, we decided to try this place. Thankfully we did. Me and my husband had the full English, and it was Devine. Outstanding value for money and after our first visit we will now go every week to eat. Highly recommend.

If in Hartlepool and you fancy a full English breakfast, then you could do a lot worse and come here. Value for money, good service, very enjoyable, highly recommended

I don’t know what could have saved limp, maybe the dispiriting side salad, but it definitely wasn’t a lukewarm mushroom omelette which was as murky and appealing as bong water. Recommend you visit next door - Whetherspoons (at least they can cook & serve frozen food)

What a lovely surprise I received when I went into this corner cafe to be offered a Roast Pork or Beef carvery on a SATURDAY. This carvery cane with a choice of vegetables, home made roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and stuffing all for the small price of £4.80. The food was totally delicious (just like grannie used to make!). I advice anyone to go there and try this out you won’t find anywhere that will be beaten for portion size and price.

Well to start with I visited the Cafe on Tuesday 16th and ordered a Special breakfast and Sausage sandwich with coke and bottle of water. Price was cheap no complaints about that on my behalf, however when we received the food.

Asked for a special breakfast and once I’d payed the women then told me they didn’t have half the ingredients to make the breakfast. Once I received the breakfast they had forgot the toast, when I questioned it the women was very arsey. The customer service was shocking, after waiting again for the toast it came to me burnt and also found a hair in my food. This was a waste of my money, I will not be going back here again!!!

A very compact establishment Serving Breakfast and Lunches. Weekdays Food is well presented and cooked as it should be Great value for any one on a budget As meal portions are on the large side Full English with door stop toast tea / coffee @£3.00 Lunch example. Meat pie with suet crust mash and veg with a drink and a reset for £5.50 the portion is so large I have to take half of it home and have it later Very good value for money Down side tables. Good breakfast nice sausages not pricey. Tables don't leave much room if busy but overall a decent start to the day. Can get small cooked full English for £3. 1 small 1 large a coffee and a bottle of coke came to £11.

En nuestro camino a Weatherpoons cuando nos encontramos con la junta diciendo desayuno con taza de té 2 libras. 95. Este pintoresco café poco servían un encantador desayuno 2 lonchas de bacon, salchichas de carnicería, 2 croquetas de patata, muy bien preparado de huevos, frijoles o tomates y dos rebanadas de pan gruesas tostadas de un panadero encantador. La taza de té estaba bien caliente. El mejor desayuno que he tenido en mucho tiempo, con un precio increíble.

We had a late breakfast/brunch. Unfortunately they'd run out of black pudding, but the meal was fantastic and the toast is definitely a doorstep - don't mock it! Great value and a perfect spot to watch the world go by.

Bonito lugar, café de esquina con una decoración decente y agradable y limpio. Ofertas especiales en la junta, con otros elementos de menú en la junta detrás del mostrador. Pedimos la Misa del gallo y el pollo y albóndigas al curry. Realmente disfrutamos de ambas comidas, ollas de té encantadora, y con una magnífica Tarta de Bakewell caseros. Extremadamente buena gente trabajando allí. Sin duda volveremos! A++++++

Came here for a breakfast.Its quite small,but the décor is nice.On arrival we glanced at the menu and both ordered a cooked breakfast. Shortly a huge portion of food arrived it was beautifully cooked.Superb value and a really nice black coffee with cold pouring milk was supplied too-cannot fault this place.

Great food get yourself there special breakfast for £3 with a pot of tea they also do great lunch menu see pictures also they lovely deserts there cheesecake is to die for The atmosphere is very warm they make you feel welcome every time

If you are looking for a fried breakfast in Hartlepool, look no further. Don't know how they do it for the money.A full English, with tea or coffee all for under £3. Yes, I'll repeat that, £3. Oh, that also includes doorstep toast. All cooked beautifully on a hot plate.One of the tastiest breakfasts we have had for a long while.We will certainly be returning.

Come here all the time though a lot less now we've moved further away, the food is Homemade and beyond delicious, portions are generous and service is faultless, besides the baked beans, never ate anything I didn't like here, absolutely amazing

We were looking for lunch and first spotted the Wetherspoons nearby. Then saw this little cafe - decided to support the local business, rather than the large chain. Helpings were large and well cooked, with good tea and coffee. Tables clean and friendly service. Last but not least - very reasonable prices. Much better than the Wetherspoons.

Best choice of home cooked meals Ive seen in a local cafe for a long time. Friendly atmosphere always welcoming and freshly produced meals with plenty to choose from on the menu.

Best selection of food in Hartlepool, mince and dumplings are to die for. Smiley & welcoming staff. It's now my go to place on a dinner time.

Never dissappointed with breakfast at this cafe you get plenty and the prices are reasonable. Brilliant fast service too served by beth works very hard to keep the customer happy

Lovely breakfasts, like my mother used to make on a Sunday only you can get them here every other day of the week. Perfect bacon and eggs are done to a tee!Polite and welcoming staff & such a lovely boss. My grandson who is a very fussy eater loves the banoffe pie that they do. I ordered 3 basic items for my breakfast as part of a larger order, Scrambled egg on brown toast with bacon.It turned out to be 3 items of disappointment - Burnt Toast, (I can only assume it was brown bread as it was charred), mediocre scrambled egg and they forgot the Bacon!How can a café mess this up?

We used to try different places for Saturday breakfast each week, but haven't moved on from Cooks Corner Cafe for months. Great service with the best staff, excellent food with good choices, great value for money and generous portions. I also use during the week while at work coz great selection of lunches too - hot or cold, all fresh, home cooked.,., and then there's the deserts too!! Enjoy!

Awesome home cooked food, the best place to eat locally. Nice atmosphere good portion sizes staff also positive and have that all important smile.

This is your typical cafe, but not typical quality. Carefully prepared, high quality and very tasty. The staff add to the experience and Jason is an excellent proprietor, who takes pride in his business.

Visited many times now both for breakfast and lunch to takeaway - quality, quantity and choice are the best and prices reasonable - never had a bad meal.

This cafe is small and welcoming. Jason is very pleasant, and the other staff are always eager to help.At the corner cafe you get good honest food and hearty servings. It gives excellent value for money and has an appetising range of breakfast and lunch foods. It is centrally located and very near to the railway station.Only regrets is that it is sometimes hard to get a seat at certain times.

I should say at once that I have not eaten in this cafe. I wanted to but didnt have time. Instead I bought perhaps the best bacon sandwich I've ever had. Thick fresh bread lots of very tasty bacon and decent quality ketchup. The cafe utself was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient and the place smelled of good food. I have no doubt that all their food is good but it was akso a resrful and cosy place to be without being pretentious in any way. Nothing luxurious about it just a goid atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I go in this cafe regularly as it is close to my uni, it is the best value for money and fast service.They have a huge selection of food and the staff are very helpful and nice to chat to. On more than one occasion have they went out their way for us and have gone that extra mile. If you're hungry this is the place to go! the portions are generous and a lot of it is very fresh. Freshly baked bread so you get nice chunky toast and big sandwiches. The cafe is very small but I have rarely went in and not got a seat. I think this cafe is really undervalued but it does get lots of customers in. The food is delicious and filling, the interior is nice and it is always clean. I love it there
