We popped in here for lunch when staying at a nearby hotel, and the food was so good we went back again the next day. Lovely food, and owned and run by a very friendly man - definitely worth heading here to support local businesses when you are on the South Bank.
Almorzamos aquí con un par de compañeros y fue una gran experiencia! La comida era increíble y el personal era muy amable con nosotros. Sin duda volvería aquí de nuevo!
This place was recommended to us by an Italian friend (already a good sign :-) ), and it is definitely going on my list of favourite places in Fulham! Lovely cosy restaurant, with really excellent and authentic food. One of us was vegan, and they easily accommodated to her diet. The portion were really generous, too.
In addition to the delicious food, the service was the other highlight: it was our first visit, and yet the warm welcome and friendly attitude of the staff made us feel like regulars. While we were there, other patrons came and went (some for dinner and others to buy some of the products on sale), and it was difficult to tell the regulars from the first-timers. Thank you for a lovely evening :-)
Lovely staff, amazing food.
It’s very family friendly and the pasta is very, very good and well priced. Ice cream also great and coffee tastes lovely.
Altogether - such a great place to have by a kids park!
A bleddy brilliant Butcher's shop. I asked if they did mutton and said that give them a day's notice they would endeavour to source some. To my surprise, they obtained it for me and even diced it up so i can make my mutton curry.
Nice range of meats on display and also their Brays & Kays pasties which hit the sweet spot.
Butchers are a dying breed and unlike supermarkets which only sell lean rubbish, the Butchers offers a wide selection to tickle anyone's taste buds
First revisit for about a year. Dropped in with the dog for a large black coffee and to do the crossword. Four friendly lads beavering away behind the counter and serving inside and out. Bustling inside and out. Stack of newspapers on a side table and shared with old ladies. Same wide selection of hot and cold snacks, pastries and much more. They brought my large coffee to one of the tables outside. Kindly loaned me a biro to do the crossword in my own paper. Full sun, traffic not as close or disturbing as I or the dog expected. A very relaxed way to spend half an hour. Some Lycra clad lads turned up my cycle run, numerous folk came and went. The feel remains affable, welcoming and offering anything you might want. Remains highly recommended, even more so than before.
Absolute gem of a restaurant.
It's quite small (I counted seating for 26) so I would recommend booking. The owner and staff have created a warm, very friendly atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. The menu caters extremely well for the majority of diets and everything is freshly cooked. The owner is very helpful and is happy for you to pre-order your choice of meals in advance. This means you don't run the risk of something not being available , which is always a possibility when it's fresh ingredients and cooked to order. We had pizza, tiger prawns and jerk pork burger, all of which were fabulous and the tiramisu dessert is amazing. The level of service was perfect, not rushed, attentive, extremely polite and friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening, Desmond's has just become our first choice restaurant in Lowestoft.
Had prawn gyozas and teriyaki wings which were really nice, then went on with Chicken ramen which had a delicious broth. Had a good conversation with the chef and he seems a really nice guy who loves what he does. Would definitely recommend especially if you're local: it's worth the price.
A fantastic little coffee shop just by the station.
The coffee is roasted by El Cafetal and the variety of beans is impressive.
Consistently some of the best coffee I have had. Their cappucino is phenomenal.
A small but high quality range of toasties - and I would recommend trying their empenadas which are cooked on site with a great side salsa.
Highly recommend the place.
We had another really good takeaway from the Frying pan. All food is freshly prepared when ordered, so if you simply pop in to purchase, you have a short wait, but worth it as the resultant food is superb! We particularly liked the chicken pad thai as well as the Tom Yum soup! The portions are generous and the service friendly.
Highly recommended!
Lovely lunches freshly made, friendly staff, obviously passionate about food! Great value, especially considering everything is homemade. Highly recommended!
Just passing whilst on a walk, saw the advertising board on the playing field opposite and we thought let's give it a try. A real surprise and treat. Good coffees, fantastic muffins and delightful service. Can't recommend it enough.
