This isn't my local but I sometimes wish it was. It's a bus ride away but worth the journey. This pub absolutely nails it, great beer, friendly staff and customers, always seemingly striving to build on their success rather than rest on their laurels. Three cheers to them.

Iv order from this place multiple times and never had issue with food. But unfortunately tonight I hasmd something different and was disappointed. I had cheesy garlic bread which was good but I order chip and chicken fillets. The chips were soggy and chicken fillets were basically joujons which I could cooked myself at home. I haven't tried the cookies yet but they are big so look worth the money and were lovely and warn milkshake was good as always

Roast turkey dinner wasn't all that great. Was cold even though the plates were supposedly hot

Nice old building. Friendly landlord & staff. Always a few good ales available. Large garden at rear of pub. I have not tried the food. The menu looks a bit upmarket.. not standard pub grub!

The restaurant is all about Mauritius. Huge landscape photos cover the walls, and each table is named after a place in Mauritius. If you've been to Mauritius, sitting in this restaurant will take you back there. The food is genuine Mauritian cuisine, it's presented well , cooked to perfection and tastes fantastic. The service is always friendly and professional. I've been to other Mauritian restaurants, but this one is by far my favourite.
