Food was amazing and service was outstanding, hossein really made us feel like we were in our family home, mixed grill for 4 is recommend, fits for everyone taste and portion is well balanced.

The saffron rice and tender koobideh are perfection, and the ghormeh sabzi is rich and satisfying. What truly makes this place special is the hospitality. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel at home. A big thank you to Hossein, the owner, whose passion and care shine through in every detail. I can’t wait to come back!

Really good food it was delicious

The food was decent however the service was really bad; I'd have accepted it if the placd was full however it was about half empty. Walk in, had to flag someone to get a table, get a table and don't get the menus until I had to ask (five minutes after being seated). Placed an order and they didn't even get the tap water until asking for a second time. After giving such an abysmal service, they have the balls to charge mandatory service charge! (Supposedly written on the menu that you will be charged for service). Food is good too.

It is one of the Iranian restaurants I have intended in London. Everything was great!! All kinds of kebabs and stews that we ordered for main as well as starters and desserts were perfect.

With any restaurant, the main thing that you look for is amazing food and a great atmosphere from which you can enjoy an evening out with family or friends. Crystal ticks both of these boxes superbly. From their welcoming and warm décor and ambiance to their amazing selection of dishes they have not disappointed. The staff are friendly truly pay homage to the ideal of a family run restaurant. the food is exquisite and surprisingly for a Persian restaurant has both a good selection and flavourful vegetarian dishes. I have to give a final shout out to their rice which is some of the fluffiest around lol... Don't believe me or thinking I'm exaggerating, CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF !

Ok only one star as maybe I'm just not a fan of Persian food but my friend who I was accompanying and does, also tasted mine and didn't like it either. The deep fried falafel was over cooked and dry and tasteless. The service was basic and he seemed quite aloof. On the plus side the toilet area was very clean. Only us and two other couples but doesn't surprise me. The other Persian restaurant was full and very busy. Speaks for itself.

One of the best Persian food I have had in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, food and drink presented nicely, really juicy and nice tender meat - cooked to perfection! Will definitely be coming here again. The staff were so attentive and lovely, I cannot recommend enough.

This place is a gem! Food is amazing, we had the lentil soup (Ash-e Mash) and the Fesenjan, they were to die for!!! Plus people are lovely and welcoming! Totally recommended

I came here for the first time with my friend yesterday. We ordered our favourite Persian dish of Kashke Bademjan with bread to start, followed by the grilled salmon and a joojeh kebab. The food was very well presented and we were also given an olive tapenade style dip on the house to accompany the starter. The food was good but my salmon was under seasoned and so I was glad of the garlic and chilli sauce which I ate alongside it. My friend loved her chicken and said it was so flavourful and moist. I was hoping the fish would be marinated in the same flavours but it was not. To end the meal we decided to get a chocolate brownie with ice cream and a saffron cheesecake. The brownie was a little over baked but was still enjoyable and the cheesecake was very delicious. I will definitely come back and try some other dishes.

Let me start by saying the food is delicious and beautifully presented. A bit on the pricy side. I do not know whether staff were having a bad day or was it me? But we felt not welcome. Smiles do not cost money. I asked about an ingredient in the starter, the answer was unnecessarily curt. Not going back

I ordered Jujeh kebab for myself and my toddler and it was very delicious and soft suitable for little one to chew. The staff were polite and friendly . I will come back there again .

I dined here last minute on a Saturday evening with my family of four. I didn’t have a reservation, it was 6pm, we got a table straight away. The service was attentive and on point. The food was amazing, I have ordered from here via deliveroo a few times and it has been consistently good. Dining in, the food is even better, fresh and amazing flavours. One of the best Persian restaurants I have dined at. Thank you guys.

Fantastic Persian food that has been elevated to a new standard. If you haven't had Iranian food before and are interested in trying it, then this is a good restaurant to go to for your first try. Went with some family and was pleasantly surprised at how this restaurant has taken standard Iranian dishes and improved not just the presentation for them, but also raising the flavours for some dishes as well. For the starter we had Kashk_o Bademjan (Baked, crushed Aubergine with extra trimmings added in) served with in house made stone baked bread... Delicious! We also had the Salad (can't quite remember the name, which had a mix of cucumber, mint and pomegranate) which was really nice and well presented. For mains we had the Makhsoos – Barg o Koobideh (sliced tender lamb loin fillet and one skewer of ground shoulder of lamb), The Baghali Polow – Lamb Shank, And although I can't remember the name for it was the mixed kebab with Lamb and chicken shish. All of them were served with either fragrant/saffron rice and were all very tasty. As for the other details, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the venue was quite fitting and clean, overall a solid standard for Iranian cuisine.

Have been to this place multiple times with my family without an issue. Today, within 5 minutes of being seated the owner shouted from the back of the restaurant to stop my son from knocking his plates with his spoon. For reference he had only done this once and we would have stopped him. We were subsequently escorted out of the restaurant when I called him out for his unacceptable behaviour. Extremely rude and not worth a visit at all for anyone with young children. The owner also seemed upset that we came without a reservation to an empty restaurant. Not family friendly at all. Edit : you can tell from the response how petty and childish the owner is and what level of customer service. Furthermore he mentioned reservations again when we were quite literally the only customers there at the time. Waste of time.

This is one of the most underrated restaurants ever because everyone should be raving about how good it is. One of the best Persian restaurants I’ve ever been to in London. Food is always well cooked and fresh and service is lovely. Prices pretty reasonable too.

Lovely food from this restaurant. I ordered via delivery app and the food arrived quickly and hot, and as shown in the photo it was packaged well and kept the heat in. The portion size of the chicken kebab was really big which was great. The reason for 4 star is the Calamari portion was small, it had 3 Calamari's which compared to elsewhere you can usually get 4-6 so it's not drastic but 3 Calamari's for £8.50 in my opinion is expensive. But I'll definitely order here again and hopefully one day dine in the restaurant I'll just avoid the Calamari and get something else.

I went with my parents and teenage children to this restaurant for a weekday lunch. It was very unassuming from the outside but we were blown away by the food. We started with cardamom and cinammon tea which was delicious with a lump of sugar. The freshly baked bread was to die for as was the Baba Ganoush. For mains we had absolutely huge portions of lamb with rice - my children had 4 enormous lamb chops each which they demolished. We finished very full but with room for some mint tea and baklava. Fantastic service as well. Amazing experience. Thank you!

We enjoyed food as a takeaway from this restaurant for a few weeks in which they gave complimentary rice cakes with our order. We did not realise this was complimentary. We recently ordered the same meal we usually get expecting the rice cakes but when we saw it was not there we requested a refund from Deliveroo. The restaurant then called us and argued about why we complained to Deliveroo and rudely told us never to order from them again. If they had explained that the food was complimentary in a polite manner perhaps we would have been returning customers. Appalling behaviour and disgusting customer service.

It was a date night with my wife and I wanted to fine dine yet be local to us. South Croydon is as local as can be. Crystal Restaurant under Hussain fulfilled and tick boxed. Starter of Baba Ganoush, my Sea Bass main, the grilled Chicken, and then the Saffron infused sugar Mint tea. Perfect. Thank you so very much for a lovely service.

We went in for a meal on Sunday afternoon, there were 3 adults and 5 children aged 13,11, 6, 4 and 1. The owner refused to give us a table unless we ordered at least £20 p/h worth of food despite the restaurant being less than half full, we have dined here before with our children and have had a very good experience, it makes me sad that local businesses are more concerned with profiteering than catering to their customers needs, sadly we will not be coming to this restaurant again due the bad attitude of the management, which is a shame, after having left on principle we then went to nearby bagatti’s restaurant where we had a far better experience and quality of service and spent more money than we would have done at Crystal, one establishment’s loss is another’s gain.

Amazing persian food , customer service, clean and polite people. Taste brings you back to Iran, every time they surprise you with free good Persian extras, such as halva, salad Shirazi, and tahdig. Happy to have this cosy place near our neighbourhood.

The best Persian restaurant I've ever been to. Hands down! Chicken and lamb that melts in your mouth. Traditional Iranian dishes that take me back to Iran. Excellent, kind service and beautiful interior with tea lights on each table. I will be coming back again and again and again!

This place deserves 10000 stars! Mitra was an absolutely amazing and attentive waitress, with a caring and kind presence. Nothing is too much trouble for her, she makes us feel at home. The food is always amazing, so delicious we love the gormeh Sabzi, fesenjun and kashke bademanjun! Everything is cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. All in all, best Persian restaurant I have been to in the UK, I definitely recommend you coming here if you haven’t already!

I’m from Leeds and while I was in London my friend suggested this beautiful restaurant which truly exceeded my expectations… I tried its chicken soup, grilled sea bass, and Momtaz Kebab including a skewer of chicken and one lamb koobideh which tasted like heaven! Recommend it 100% just to add most of the prices are even cheaper than Leeds restaurants!!! Thank you Crystal for providing such delicious dishes👌👌
