What a fantastic Sunday Roast. Now you can order via Cannock Eats we thought we would try due to a busy day. Food was delivered with care by happy driver called Bren. Wrapped so well to keep heat and when dished up it was still hot Portion size was perfect and meat was mouth watering with plenty of meat & veg. We really enjoyed thank you so much

We had my grandmas wake here at Five Ways, the staff were all lovely and welcoming. They put on amazing food, including hot pork baps and chips too. Helpful for such a cold day. We will definitely be going back as it was a friendly place. Thank you to everyone for making the afternoon for us.

Walking in the atmosphere was nice, quite busy as expected on a Friday night. Although I had rang up earlier in the day and booked they couldn’t find my booking, understandable on a busy Friday so wasnt too bothered. Due to the booking going missing we had to sit on a table for more than two which was a bit of a shame as it was a birthday meal for my boyfriend. The food at five ways was really tasty, boyfriend had the pheasant and really enjoyed it. I had the seabream, fish itself was lovely just wasn’t too keen on the veg accompanying it and the lemon-curd jelly that went with it but should have inquired about this from staff prior to ordering. For dessert we had the coffee sponge with ice cream and mousse. Mousse was the best part of the dessert, sponge was a bit dry and ice cream tasted like it had been pre scooped and then re frozen as it was very hard. Finished the meal with a delicious glass of brandy to top off the meal. Overall staff were friendly but service was lacking a little.

We came for afternoon tea a couple of Saturdays ago and it was very good value for money. Every thing was fresh and tasted delicious - loved the retro crockery used too! Nothing was too much trouble ! Would recommend it to friends for a good afternoon tea with friendly welcoming staff!

We popped up to The Five Ways yesterday evening, it is our local but we’ve only been in a couple of times. It’s not posh, the bar needs new flooring but the welcome you get more than makes up for that. We had booked a table as I wanted to let them know that I needed a gluten free option. We were lead to our table, even though we were early and presented with the menu. The only option that I had was a roast chicken dinner, luckily I adore a chicken dinner and it was very tasty and the chicken was lovely and moist. My mother in-law had the cheese and potato pie, which was beautifully presented and she said was delicious. My Father in-law opted for the fish and chips which he devoured and my husband really enjoyed his cottage pie, again beautifully presented. My in-laws had lentil soup to start and my husband had prawn cocktail, all of them really enjoyed their starters. My husband and Mil had an ice cream sundae for pudding as they’re both big ice cream fans, which again they really enjoyed. Our bill came to £64.00 which considering that included 7 alcoholic drinks was very good value for money. I would recommend this little pub as you get a warm welcome and your pockets won’t be too much lighter but I would like more gluten free options. They also offer a lighter lunchtime menu.

Visited tonight as advertised a new dining menu. The food was amazing, all home cooked including the chips! Makes a nice change to get proper chips instead of frozen! I had lasagne which came with chips and salad and a side of garlic bread my husband had cottage pie chips peas and gravy. Both meals were beautifully presented, hot , fresh and very tasty. Can’t fault the food at all at Fiveways!! Highly recommended!

What a lovely pub, called in by chance this lunch time for a drink and food. The covid Protocols were strictly adhered to (but in a nice way), the young lady who served us was happy, friendly and very efficient. Her Mother (family business) came and explain what was available for lunch and made us aware that everything was homemade and fresh cooked to order so did we mind waiting. We both ordered the cod and chips and I can tell you if was worth the wait. The batter was so light on the fish which was gorgeous by the way and homemade chips (a rarity in today's food outlets). Safe to say we didn't leave much! Would highly recommend and will defiantly be stopping there again.

OMG what an amazing day! Live bands , Bouncy Castle, Comedy Act, all for free. Bar was very busy but staff were trying so hard with lack of clean cold glasses available, but if u kept your glass and had it refilled no problem! The fundraiser was amazing with hundreds of people attending and for a small pub they did incredibly well.Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Great pub live sports, Sunday Dinners.Previous review was very unfair considering this was a charity day!!

Absolutely dreadful! Bar staff refused to serve us for 20 minutes because of 'lack of glasses' but continued to serve regulars! Joke. All bar staff did was moan, understand it's hot but it's nobody's fault. All in all wish I hadn't wasted my time coming to this unprofessional dump!

A corner pub situated opposite Heath Hayes Park.Only 2 real ales available.Pool table at back of pub as you walk through car park area at back of pub, entrance on road to left hand side of the pub as you travel towards Hednesford.2 games machines. 3 TV’s showing football.A patriotic pub, bedecked in England flags all over.Unhelpful bar staff, who seem to want people to drink & drive instead of being sensible. Not impressed with the attitude of them. Maybe I am being over critical, but it was not a good first impression for me & my friends. Not a place I’d rush to visit again. They are better more relaxed pubs in Hednesford whom don’t question your judgement or requirements to stay within the legal driving limit.Juke box opposite pool table.Food served 12-3pm & 5-8pm.Kids allowed on site till 9pm.

The Five Ways Inn advertised in my local paper looks like an oldie worldie pub. On the inside its a different matter it resembles more of a working mans club, cheap and cheerful. The advert offers a pensioners lunch for £5 for 2 courses and all home made. Its certainly value for money but l didn't think the food was that nice, l would not choose to eat here again. On a bright note the staff were very nice.

My husband, brother-in-law and I have just visited The Five Ways for our Easter Sunday dinner. We had a Sunday roast, my husband and I had the lamb and my brother-in-law had turkey. The food was excellent, beyond reproach. Everything was fresh, the only frozen veg was the peas, but they were petit pois and were very sweet and nice and full of flavour. The restaurant is cosy and has only ten tables so it isn't going to get manic like bigger places. The music is background and does not interfere with conversation, the staff are friendly and helpful and polite. The food is hot and plentiful as are the desserts. for the three of us the food cost a total of £23, that was for three roast dinners, £6.00 each and two desserts, £2.50 each. The beer and soft drinks are also reasonably priced. We rate it 10/10 for Sunday dinner and in fact are going tomorrow for dinner to try the new menu which is being introduced tomorrow. We can't wait and are really looking forward to it, my husband is going to try the steak and ale pie and is practically drooling at the thought!!! Ill let you know what it is like!! With Love Amanda Hill. Happy Easter to all xxxxxx

Fed up of pre-prepared chain pub food? Then look now further than a Sunday lunch at the Five Ways for a meal like your mother used to make. We found a limited meat choice, but if you book by phone they will ensure that they keep your preferred meat available. The service was superb, as was the food quality and low price. The sweets were also great value. The decor is plain and functional but comfortable (the pub is well over 100 years old).

Whilst we always enjoy the food from Roses, the new delivery service leaves a lot to be desired. The past several times we've ordered, food has taken over an hour and a half to be delivered. When you place an order for a 12:15 delivery, you do not expect it to turn up closer to 2:00pm. If this was sorted out, I'd give it a higher rating, but it's unlikely we'll be ordering again as we've never had the food arrive at anything like a decent timeframe and again, we've encountered the same thing. They are clearly overstretched on dealing with deliveries and Uber Eats along with walk-in customers.
