Mims Moms Coffee Bar in Cannock Chase

I went to mims moms for a baby shower not organised by me. Room looked lovely the family had decorated it to make it beautiful. when I sat down I took some pics of the afternoon tea as it looked nice. I was very shocked when I came to eat it,sandwiches had little amount of filling inside and bread was dry. Cakes well what a shock not one was home made I don’t think I make a lot of cakes and know home made. These cakes were ok but I could tell they were obviously purchased from a shop.this was a real shock as what we paid warranted better if you ask Me. Tea and coffee was supposed to be unlimited after the first few pots it felt like I shouldn’t have asked for more like it was greed me asking. So I asked for a cold drink I could see the lad pour it and didn’t even give a full can. I know as a group we all felt like plates were being taken from under us when we hadn’t finished boxes offered almost like you can take these home witch is all good but why not let us just sit and try and eat a bit more. Over all the cafe is a nice quant place but lots to be worked on. Many thanks

A large THANK YOU to Carol, Jane and the young staff who made our afternoon tea special. Celebrating my daughters wedding in a couple of weeks time, some of the wedding guests joined us for tea. Superbly set out with beautiful white linen, white crockery and very English! Food was delicious and supplied with a wonderful cup of tea. And the bubbles went down well too. Such a lovely tea room with such polite and hospitable staff who accommodated our order even when we arrived last minute. The milkshakes and cakes were beautiful so tasty and fresh and all reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again!

We popped in for a sandwich and drink for lunch, all of which were lovely. The staff are friendly and most helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again…maybe for one of their delicious cream teas next time! Thank you

Service and food/ drinks was absolutely delightful. However, during my catch-up with my friend, the person who I could only assume was the owner or manager of some sort came over to our table abruptly and as I could only describe as - slammed - a reserved card on our table. I was in total shock, I was then made to feel uncomfortable and rushed. The experience was solidified when one of the ladies came over and asked for our order and we informed her we were still thinking and then another lady was then sent over to take our orders again when we clearly weren’t ready. The staff were immediately apologetic and gave us further time. Unfortunate since the staff also came across as uncomfortable because of further things that we had seen during our time here…. and food/drinks were so lovely.

I would recommend Mims Moms as a place to celebrate any special occasions, the food is second to none, the welcome and the service is second to none, it has to be the best cafe/coffe/ tea room in the whole of the West Midlands,, it’s also ver wheelchair friendly and the staff are all so accommodating to making sure you have the best experience on your visit, it’s the best place to go for celebrating, thank you to Carol and all her staff at Mims Moms, we will be back xxx

Popped in for lunch with mom, we shared a sandwich which they split onto 2 plates both with side salad and crisps and homemade coleslaw. I was really impressed as they didn't have to do this. The sandwich was really nice. The staff were lovely and friendly. We will be going back to try the afternoon tea.

I booked for an afternoon tea at Mims,but when we arrived we were totally dissapointed with what we saw on the reserved table. There were a selection of cakes and a very small amount of white bread sandwiches with cheap fillings.We had booked for my partners birthday and because he normally only ate brown bread he did not eat any of the sandwiches.The price for that would have been £50 so my partner told them he did not want the Prosecco to at least make it a little bit cheaper. The afternoon tea did not resemble anything like the photos on the website. We will certainly not be going again,this was a total dissapointment as we have been to many places for afternoon tea and this was not in the same league

While in Cannock, I decided to stop my shopping and grab a coffee and bite to eat. There are few to choose from. This place stood out, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was easy to find and pleanty of seats. Menu looked good, and they understood about gluten, making sure no non gluten items didn't get cross contaminated. I had a floater coffee which was excellent and toasted tea cakes, naughty buy nice. Would go back as the people there were so nice and welcoming.

In a Raffle, we won an afternoon tea at Mims Moms Coffee and Champagne Bar. We had a a wonderful afternoon tea, everything we had was a well deserved 5star rating, we would have given more if we could, Staff frendlyness, exelent food, the venue was superb. We will definately do it all again, and we hope that others will give it a try and you will not be disappointed.. We even got a cake box to take home what you could not eat. The ladies were very attentive and friendly, the afternoon tea was delicious! Cakes were beautiful we had to take ours home as there was that much, it was fabulous. Will definitely be returning. We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea Tuesday for my birthday which my friend brought me. The ladies were very friendly, we couldn't eat all our lovely cakes so brought them back in a box. The food was very nice and fresh lots of choice. We will definately be visiting again to try more on the menu. Thank you

My son and I have lunch at Mim's Mom's every Tuesday. Last week we invited friends with us and had an afternoon tea which was luscious 😋 Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Amazing experience. Staff were so lovely and welcoming, really helpful too! I forgot to state a dietary requirement upon booking for dairy free, I spoke to the staff who promptly went out and made a dairy free sandwich and collected together some appropriate cakes. Boxes were also given out at the end for any cakes to be taken home that hadn’t been eaten. Booking was only until 3pm but there was no urge or rush to get us out at all, felt very welcomed the whole time. Very clean and tidy cafe too!!

I took my Mrs for Afternoon Tea as a surprise, the owner and her work colleague were very attentive and nicely spoken, we had unlimited pot of tea and milk, a side of crisps, salad and coleslaw, the finger sandwiches were lovely and the assortment of cakes were very tasty and fresh. It's a very clean and lovely Tea room and we enjoyed ourselves and we will be going back, a big thumbs up from us. 😊

My friend and I went for coffee and cake, which was very good, there were not many tables as the space is quite small but several were free, when we had finished our coffee and were about to order another, more people came in and there were no more free tables, I presume it was the owner who asked the new people if she could help and when they said they were wanting a table, she pointed to us and said "these ladies have finished so their table will be free now". We didn't bother with a second cup, we got up and left and will probably never go back.

Visited mims for my mother in laws birthday with my mil, mum and daughter. Enjoyed an afternoon tea which was amazing and plenty of! At the end we was given boxes to take out left overs home. Atmosphere was lovely and the owner was very caring and attentive. Highly recommend

We went to Mims Moms for an afternoon tea. We had gift vouchers as a present. The afternoon tea itself was lovely. The food was wonderful and plenty of it. Sandwiches, salad, crisps, coleslaw and a lot of sweet treats. We also had the choice of tea or coffee. The staff are amazing, so welcoming and attentive. From the moment we walked in we felt a very warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was actually nice to see the 3 ladies actually took pride and enjoyed the job they were doing. Thankyou for looking after us all.

Went here for afternoon tea with family, nothing at all was too much trouble they catered for gluten free as well as ensuring we were comfortable and happy throughout our time there. We could not of asked for a better experience for our first time visiting. We will definitely be returning.

We ordered some finger buffet for a ‘life celebration’ and we good not have been anymore impressed with the quantity and quality of the food. We will also be popping into the cafe for coffee and cake. Thankyou so much for your help on the day.

Fantastic lunch at Mims Moms today. The food was delicious and they specially catered for a friend who is vegan. Paninis were tasty and so were the cakes and milkshakes and all very reasonably priced. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Carol went out of her way to get everything arranged and to say my MIL was delighted is an understatement,and so was I when she told me everything that was in her delivery. Absolutely delightful afternoon tea with my two lovely friends. Beautiful clean eating area. Tea and coffee is plentiful. Good selection of sandwiches. Cakes and trifles (of which there were many) were fresh and delicious. What’s more if you can’t manage to eat them all (and you probably won’t) they are boxed up for you to take home. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Owner is a lovely lady and also the other staff made sure customers were happy and satisfied. Well done ladies.

We attended this wonderful place to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Brilliant service, brilliant food and brilliant quality for money. The owner and server were pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us during our afternoon tea. Good selection of sandwiches and cakes and even catered for my mother’s dietary requirements. Ham salad sandwich only 1 slice of very thin ham, couple small lettuce leaves, 1 slice cucumber, 1 tomato sliced. not very good for £4.25. Been to other tea rooms and sandwiches are substantial for same or less price. Partners sandwich too only small slices. Poor value, would we try again? no. Sorry but they need to make much better sandwiches.

Went with work colleagues and what a truly lovely afternoon it was....Carol and the team are so very welcoming and very friendly with excellent service throughout with delicious sandwiches and cakes! Can not recommend highly enough to anyone! So simply book and go!!!

Out for afternoon tea for my wifes Birthday. It was very nice indeed, with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. The children were looked after too with their Juice coming in teapots the same as the adults. Very well looked after by the staff too. Would recommend.

We visited here yesterday unplanned after a very disappointing visit to another local dessert that was planned as a special treat and my closed. My son was extremely upset and I suggested going to Mims Moms Cafe as I had been before and it was lovely. I knew it would not be exactly what he was after but thought it was worth a try. From the moment we walked in my son was treated like a king. The owner is so lovely and spotted straight away that he had brought some extra needs and was upset. She went out of her way to please him and made him something that wasn’t even on the menu. He said afterwards that it was the best place he had been. The coffee was lovely. The cafe is decorated beautifully. Spotless and clean. The range of food available looked brilliant and all fresh. There is a good alcohol selection too. The cakes looked amazing and I even took 6 home for my family. Thank you xx

I can echo all the 5 star reviews on here - this is a first class "cafe" with lovely light decor and a really good atmosphere, made possible by the excellent management and staff. (And good company!) Yesterday was the second special afternoon tea there in 4 months: food and drink were well presented, delicious and generous. Thank you very much and will return!
