The Rainbow Skull Grill in Rother

THE burger place in Maidstone. If you are after a cornucopia of flavours perfectly rolled up into a bun or in a chip-filled bowl then this is the place to be. The Blue Cheese burger was exquisite, the fries were amazing and the onions rings were pure perfection. Accompanied with a refreshing pint of their own lager beer, this was one of the best burger meals I have ever had. If you have any love for a meaty patty between two pieces of bread, truly magical sides and amazing beer then you must make your way down there. Already picking menu items for the next visit.

We were down town and decided to pop in and try their burgers (after having quite a few of their drinks at their stand at the Maid of Stone Festival) Staff were friendly and informative and luckily for us, the place soon filled up, after our order went in. The taste of both burgers and the chips were excellent and filling. We went double but you can add more, if you require. We also had Cherry Rum and coke in Skull glasses (the drink we had at the festival) and let me say, you won't know you're drinking alcohol, so beware! All in all, a great place and we will be back. By the way, at the time of my review, they only take card!

The choice of burgers is superb, unlike any other places. Why bother with a chain when you go to an individual bar that serves awesome food. You get excellent value for your money, it is not overpriced. Good choice of class beers and friendly staff.

Great food. Great service and well priced. The two times I have been the service has awesome and really friendly, they will let you know when the kitchen or bar is closing so you can order and not miss out. Will be going back when I go Maidstone.

We had a takeaway from skull bar this evening and it was delicious, my husband said best burger he's ever had and he cleared his plate and the onion rings excellent. Lastly thank you to the man that phoned me to tell me about the issues with Deliveroo. Oh and the cookies were very nice!

Second visit to this wonderful unique venue, and just like the first time they certainly didn’t disappoint!! Feeling adventurous, I went with a double Meatallica burger and double cheese fries. It arrived packed with so much meat I could feel my arteries hardening just looking at it! Every flavour stands out too, with the bacon being some of the best I’ve tasted in burgers in many years! Can’t fault the portion sizes for the money either, and to cap everything off the service is always smiling and upbeat and really welcoming! If you’re reading this review and wondering if it’s your kind of place… it is. Don’t miss the chance to try one of the most unique and rewarding eateries in Maidstone, you’ll thank yourself for giving them a try!!! 😍 10/10!!

Holy Diver, what an experience!! As a lifelong metal head the style and name of the bar was what drew me in, but having tried the food, I feel less like I’ve eaten a meal and more like I’ve discovered a new spiritual home!! First up, the food is hot and good quality, and more than reasonably priced. But it’s flavour that really sends this venue into the top echelon; these guys don’t just deliver on amazing flavours, they wrap flavour around a cosh, lure you down a dark alleyway with onion gravy fries, and then commit GBH on your taste buds; Grievous Bloomin’ Heaven! I had the Blue Monday with Stilton and my partner enjoyed a BBC chicken burger, accompanied by a side of wings. Silence then fell as we were unable to speak in anything other than monosyllabic grunts while both of us stared wide eyed at each other in an orgiastic feeding frenzy! If you think this is an exaggeration, just pop n and try their burgers and you’ll see I’m not joking! Staff were all amazing and friendly too, we cannot wait for the flimsiest excuse to return here asap and try some of the other delights on offer! Music was great, drinks were cold, food was hot… this place is genuinely a wonderful little find that on one visit has made two permanent new disciples that will be back to worship at flavour church very soon!! 🎼😋

I cannot rate this place highly enough. The food was out of this world - I had the BBC burger, the combination of crispy chicken fillet, melting brie and cranberry mayo was perfection. I had disco chips with my burger, the red wine onion gravy is the best gravy I've had in years. My partner had the Blue Monday burger, bourbon wings and Philly cheese fries; he saved a bit of the burger whilst demolishing the fries, so his last taste and parting memory could be the beef and blue cheese. I think some kind of magical science was happening inside his mouth. Very welcoming and helpful staff, a great atmosphere and no doubt we will be back.

I have been in the bar a few times, each time to dine. My partner always chooses a burger that comes along with chips and sides and I always go for the wings. The food is exceptional, the quality and freshness is great. Also the chicken wings are the actual whole wing as well!!! They are so tasty and crispy! I love their pickled slaw as well! Unfortunately, due to mental health reasons i no longer leave the house. But, they are on Deliveroo!! The food comes perfectly packaged, remaining hot and tasty. They’ve never ever got anything wrong on my order. It’s mine and my partners favourite food place. The bar is clean and welcoming. The owners and staff are very kind and check to make sure everything is okay. I love the style of the bar. I don’t drink alcohol but they have good soft drink options! Everyone I’ve recommended to go there have all come back to me and told me how much they love it and go time and time again. A family member is vegetarian and absolutely loves their veggie/ vegan options. They cater for all!

It looks ordinary, but the food is better than the menu sounds, I do not know how Veronica (usually) does it. Veronica and Tammy are lovely hosts and this one of the exceptionally places which serves mild ale and in perfect condition. (the other is the Pig and Porter - very near my home when thy have a beer festival). This LGBT bar friendly that sadly gets hate reviews and vegans won't visit. I have called a pervert on Facebook for visiting, I don't care though I am straight and very welcomed. I hate bullying, though!

Avoid if you are fussy about hygiene. They have one star, and that is one star too many. Check with google.

Have tried several meals here and they have all been delicious, including the veggie options. The chips are seasoned perfectly. Nice place for comfort food with a pint.

This has got to be one of the best eateries in Kent. Absolutely delicious menu that caters for carnivores and veggies alike. Really friendly staff, the place is very clean and has imaginative décor. Prices are exceptionally reasonable for the quality of food. This is my go-to place whenever I am in Maidstone. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
