Lovely country pub, always a warm,welcoming fire on those chilly days and a nice sun-trap out front for summer evenings. Food is excellent, and big portions make this a great place for Sunday dinner, or to nest up for an afternoon of drinks.

What a fabulous pub! The food is great and such big portions! I had the chilli con carne with rice and salad delicious! My partner had the chicken casserole with veg and potatoes, he said it was so tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the pub.

Best food in/around Hastings. Atmosphere is brilliant. Staff are funny and welcoming. We can't even visit family in Hastings without going to the Three Oaks for food and drinks. Love it.

Food is amazing and portion size is enormous. Landlords is something else. I personally found him hilarious but you gotta have a good liking for humour. Definitely worth a pit stop.

A great country pub 2 miles or so from Hastings serving many different beers and wines and generous servings of tasty meals.

Booked a table for Christmas Eve dinner. We had a delicious roast with a choice of pork, beef, turkey or vegetarian options . The boiled vegetables 🫛 carrots red cabbage were a bit bland but it is just for my liking. The medium size portion for £12 was a very generous serving even for the adult men in our party. Loved the quirky deco, Christmasy atmosphere, the pool room at the back. Thank you for the attentive service, it made our visit truly enjoyable.

My family went to the Three Oaks for my son's 40th birthday. We weren't disappointed the pub was warm and inviting and the staff were really friendly. I didn't have a starter and was glad because when the meal arrived it was massive. I chose the casseroled lamb with new potatoes it was delicious. I just managed to save room for a sweet.( rude not to). Dark cherry pie and Ice cream just as wonderful. Thanks to all the staff for making it a really memorable evening. Paul Strevens

A great place to bring our grandchildren time and time again. The staff all go above and beyond for us. Our favourite place to visit for a roast dinner, the selection is delicious.

I've had food here before, and it was nice!. I've just had the Xmas roast turkey, and I found it tasteless!. The pub itself is nice and cozy, though. The staff are nice and friendly too!.

Very good value and huge meals. Your challenge is to make Nigel the Landlord smile! An empty plate is a real challenge, as the meals are very generous. One of my local pubs, and a very good one.

We have never had a bad meal here. The staff are always so lovely and friendly. The food has never disappointed. Huge portions, and the deserts are always very yummy. My only suggestion would be maybe a little more choice for vegetarians.

We were unsure about going after seeing a review saying they were not dog friendly. How glad we were to follow our gut feelings and visited the. The food was exceptional with very large portions. I went for the sausage and mash and ended up with five sausages and couple of pounds of potatoes. The landlord was welcoming and the staff were first class. This place is definitely worth a second, third or even four visits in a week

This is your quintessential small country English pub. The interior is full of original and interesting decor, to the point where you could imagine it being used for filming such is range and density of items being displayed. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food is amazing. Be warned, servings are on the generous size, only order large if you're really capable of a LARGE meal. Unlike some places, there is real value for money for the amount of food you get. I have eaten here lots of times, usually with a group of six to eight. Each time, all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Not often I give five stars, but the Three Oaks Pub is well deserving of them (and no, I'm not affiliated to them in any way).

A truly wonderful pub, with such a good atmosphere. The food is so reasonably priced, excellent quality and plenty of it! We came here twice whilst staying locally but would be here all the time if we lived closer!

We came with a large group for a Sunday roast, couldn't have asked for more really. Staff were super helpful, good value and delicious choice of puddings :)

Visited at lunchtime with family. Excellent menu and good choice of "Specials". Service was great and the food excellent.... they definitely don't skimp on the portions.... they were huge!!! Will definitely visit again when we're in the area again (also good car parking).

Thank you so much for such wonderful organisation today for my very large group. The service was amazing we all felt so welcome. Wow the food !!!! How can you make a profit with such huge plates of delicious fresh roasts. Compliments to the chefs. You must have the BEST roasts in the area, although I can’t imagine many people manage the largest roast you offer as the standard one is Huge. Beautifully cooked. The puddings are great too especially the Daim amaretto ice cream it’s amazing.

Lovely pub, food was nice depending what you had, lasagne was lovely but roast was standard with hard potatoes, portion sizes were very generous but when booking a table of 10 for a birthday you don’t expect to be timed. We basically got kicked out because they booked in another table giving us 1.5 to eat dinner and pudding thankfully we didn’t have starters. But when it’s busy you don’t expect to be so rushed especially when there’s so many of you and other tables that are also waiting for food ect. I’ve never been somewhere the staff were so rude and unwelcoming, I work in hospitality and when staff are checking their watches telling you, you need to leave because they need the table is horrendous. Only 1 lovely staff member (thank you for being so lovely) out of 5 but unfortunately she got taken off our table after taking our main order. This is not the first time being at three oaks where staff clearly don’t want to be there or serve you with their rude and abrupt mannerism. It’s like asking a question of how big is the pudding is a crime!

We visited this lovely pub after trying numerous other pubs locally that had stopped serving food after 2.30pm. Staff were friendly, welcoming and polite, we were so pleased to find this little hidden gem. Great menu and great food. Would highly recommend!

Well if you are looking for quantity over quality crossed with faulty towers (owner has to be related to basil) then this is the place for you! Popped in here whilst holidaying in area and have tried before and also written a great review, alas this visit was not as great! 2 of us had the chicken bacon and leek pie - which consisted of 3 small pieces of chicken, 1 piece of bacon and I was still looking for my leek when I decided to abandon all hope after tasting a very bland almost wallpaper consistency filling, yes you get plenty of veg, poor quality peas and zero flavour. 2 had the steak pies and stated that they enjoyed them, again lots of veg. Loved the quirkiness of this pub but unfortunately in my opinion the place needs a good clean and a chef that knows what flavour is!

Very rude, very unfriendly, sarcastic man served us. Food was OK at best. Not impressed with the roast, nothing going on unless you like half a field of peas on your plate.

I haven't returned here since before the pandemic, luckily Nigel is still at the helm, producing excellent Sunday roasts and desserts. Food always excellent and value for money, staff pleasant and amicable. If you are in the area I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit.

Went for Sunday roast, both had roast beef. The dinner was very large, lots of beef. Not of a good quality. Veg and roast potatoes were ok. Maybe less portion and better quality food. Shame as used this pub many times over the years, just very average food, read all the reviews , but beg to differ. Staff were very good and polite.

Fancied a ploughman's for a change and wasn't disappointed, the best I've had in a long time and it was under £10! Made the mistake of having a starter too so struggled at the end! Lol The sweets looked scrummy but didn't have room for one...Next time tho 😁

What a lovely place, run by lovely people. I only stopped for a Diet Coke hiking through. I was thinking of getting a taxi the rest of the way and although busy, did everything they could to help me. The interior is so fun, and the food, whilst I didn’t have any looked fantastic and smelled wonderful. I stopped in randomly for a moment, but I am 100% going to find my way back.

The best Ploughman's lunch I have ever had. Took pudding to go- the sticky toffee pudding was so light. Friendly staff and a good laugh. Recommended.

Wonderful food and lovely, friendly staff. We were a party of 6 and all our meals came out together and were nice and hot. The portion sizes were huge! I don't give my family that much at home! I would love to come here every Sunday. I thoroughly recommend you visit this pub/restaurant, its excellent value for money.

Wonderful pub with lovely staff and very accommodating. We took our pooch and had no problems. They are very dog friendly. We both had Sunday lunch ( pooch got a plate !!) And the food was lovely with ample ( to say the least!!!). Would more than recommend

I only visited for 1 pink during a bike ride but the place looked nice. Not sure which trees are the three oaks. If you like gnomes you'll like it here.

Was there 2 days ago for Sunday roast. I was challenged by one of the locals to try the large roast dinner boy it was massive however I only left 4 boiled potatoes 😁 The food was absolutely amazing I had the roast beef which I had 10 Maybe 11 slices of beef along with a mountain of amazing veg. It was well worth £16 I even squeezed in a sticky toffee pudding which again was out of this world. The pub itself is very friendly and warm and the staff are so welcoming I highly recommend if you are down this way to visit but I strongly advise not to eat much before you go if you plan to eat there. 😉 it doesn't matter if you don't manage as they offer you a box to take away the rest which I thought was a fab idea. The pub itself is unique and very quirky with a lot of humour which i loved the most about it. Unfortunately it will be quite sometime before I'm back for round 2 as I live 40 miles north of Edinburgh lol however I will definitely be back!!!!!!

Great service. There was a mistake with our booking but they managed to seat us at a non restaurant table. I was advised to opt for the medium roast dinner and not the large. Huge helping with ppl lenty of meat.

Four of us plus grandchild. People could not have been nicer to him. We had been several times adults only and it is always excellent but with the grandchild it was fantastic.

The food was amazing and the portions were very filling. In most pubs they serve small portions for a large amount of money. This pub is not them. I came with my husband and my children and they absolutely loved everything from the food to the customer service. The owner is really sweet kind and funny and made good conversations. I would recommend it especially for adults.

Had a roast dinner here last Sunday. My oh my, the plate full of food was enormous. Very nicely cooked , even though we couldn't get through it all. Staff were excellent, so friendly and welcoming.

lovely pub only went to a wake sadly, but very impressed with how the pub was done especially all the different bear mugs hanging from the ceiling really quirky, if I lived closer I certainly would use it. buffet food was excellent 👌 A+++

This is very much a 'locals only' pub. Not being from the area you definitely don't feel welcome. Beware if visiting for the 'Monday madness' deal and you have children with you as the kids meal will count as one of the free meals. The older lady serving at the bar was very hostile and unwilling to help. Overall I would not recommend it and there are much better options not too far away.

I have regularly eaten at this pub, it advertises 2 mains for price of 1 on Mondays. We had one starter and 2 main courses and charged for 2 main meals, starter was free. Queried the bill as should have had the second main meal...

We visited this place for an 80th party and yet again the food was fantastic. The service was great and all excellent value for money.
