Disappointed with our visit. Was recommended by a friend. So decided to take my mum for her birthday. Afternoon tea was very nice. Cakes on stands looked very nice. Lovely crockery and the tea room was very pretty. On arrival thought it was very pleasant. Unfortunately the staff let it down. Didn’t feel very welcome. The two young ladies who served us were friendly and the other lady who brought out afternoon was nice. Unfortunately one member of staff was rather frosty. Had booked for 2 but had to take my toddler last minute and was made to feel this was an inconvenience as had to sit at a different table and told had to leave by certain time. Looks like a very nice place and food was good but service greatly let it down. Don’t think I would visit again due to this.

Waited ages for the lady working to acknowledge my presence. Stood patiently waiting and waiting whilst she continued her personal phone call with the phone on loud speaker. Could not get her attention and she continued with the loud inappropriate call which the whole tea room could hear, so gave up and walked out. Disgusting ignorance and I won’t return.

We had a pot of tea that was good & nicely presented, however cake selection really did not meet our expectations. It's a bank holiday weekend & only cakes were a dark chocolate sponge, chocolate brownie, 2 layer Victoria Sponge (which we had & was ok) & 3 individual Carrot cakes. That was it, nothing else no Drizzle cake or Coffee & Walnut! When we came through the main door waited by what we thought was a staff member waiting to be seated but turns out it was hairdresser who shares the other half of the premises. The tearoom customer toilet (yes just one) is also located in the hairdressers but was very clean. We’d phoned Tuesday to reserve table, phone answered, "sorry we're closed" can you phone back tomorrow. Phoned Wednesday was told "no need to book a table", visited Thursday noon to be told "we've only one table you'll need to share, you should have booked", BUT there was virtually no one in the Tearoom, just a load of tables marked as reserved & for the 45 minutes or so we stayed very few other customers came in. If the numerous reserved tables are for afternoon teas, then fine, but perhaps if you converse with your customers to gauge how long they may wish to stay, or say for how long you can have a table, you'll probably generate more business.

After being highly recommended we decided to visit. On arriving there is no actual car parking. Just a small verge of grass and puddles. I think this ground is actually owned by the farm right opposite where theres horses. Very pretty but difficult to park on. Difficult start when a passenger is disabled to. When we went in it was very pretty, lots of nice nic nacs for sale. A hair dresser right next to the small entry to tea room. Appealing cakes on display. No staff welcome. We walked through the shop and had a look around. Quite small space. Doubt wheelchairs could fit. When we were welcomed, we asked to sit down on a smaller table so that if a group came in they could use the bigger table. But we didn’t want to be told where to sit or sit on a small table. So we asked to sit at the bigger table and just put our stuff down. When seated I felt quite stuffed in. chairs were close to one another so made it a little difficult. Im sure sitting on one of the smaller tables there would have been very difficult. I can see good use of the space but its not easy to walk around. The staff member didn’t have much to say. Stood waiting for us to ask for a drink but we had only just got there, no menu and hadn’t sat down. I just didn’t feel very welcomed. Considering they were not busy I thought they would be quite happy and chatty when they did see us. So after getting a menu and having to ask what comes with the tea options we did order cheese tea. It was very nicely laid out. Salad fresh with juicy fruit in. small amount of cheese mild not very tasteful. Pickle was very nice. Pickled onions looked and tasted like they were cheap. Few olives, again didn’t looks fresh. The cheese scones had some nice cheese cooked well on top. Sides looked like they needed to be cooked and the inside was a bit stogy. I don’t think there was any cheese in the actual scone mix as we couldn’t taste any. The tea was average. Tea pot spout was chipped a lot. Tea cup very pretty. I like the mix and match style. The price of 8.95 I think is good when you receive very good scones. This does include a drink so I would have returned if the scones were better. Such a shame because I know there are customers who enjoy it there and have said good things. Maybe it was a bad day for them today. Sadly we won’t return.

I was really looking forward to afternoon tea as I had heard great things about the place. I was really disappointed, a case of style over substance! The cakes were ok but the sandwiches were of very poor quality, cheap supermarket bread and poor quality filling. It’s very ‘cute’ in there, but a strange feel to the place, needed a little quiet background music. It has got stunning views from the garden, unfortunately it was raining when we went. We wanted to take some cakes home as we didn’t finish them, was given a couple of sheets of tin foil, a little box would’ve been better. Overpriced for quality of sandwiches at £22.50 per head.

I was so looking forward to bringing friends to you for a sumptuous afternoon tea. On arrival I received a rather frosty reception. We had booked for 8 but only 4 places were laid. The tea was nice but one of my pet hates is when tea shops start closing up around me. Sweeping the floor, moving chairs around and generally making us feel we were in the way did not make for a pleasant experience. Sorry TicToc but we won’t be back.

We had planned a walk through the nearby Guestling Wood, but wanted a quick lunch and drink before starting. We decided to try the Tic Tocory. What a good choice. This place does teas, coffees and cold drinks, as well as delicious cream teas, sandwich teas and savoury scones. But the best thing is the value. Upon first look the menu seems limited, however you get a lot for your money, and you won’t be disappointed. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was quick, efficient and very friendly. Everything was fresh and there is inside and outside seating. The outside seating area is particularly lovely, and the views from this area are lovely too. Well worth a visit. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

I booked for afternoon tea, asked if we could sit outside we had a lovely view of the countryside, the food ,and tea arrived quickly, service was excellent, the sandwiches were different to the 1's we have had at other tea rooms, including fortnam and masons, the scones were light and fluffy not stodgy, the cakes which comprised of bread pudding, macaroons, tiramasu, chocolate cake, mini Victoria sponges, asked for another pot of tea which finished off the meal nicely, this bespoke place is in Pett East Sussex which is a quiet village, there is no public carpark but there was plenty of space on the road, of all the tea rooms we have been to this was the best, very good value for money £45 for 2 people.

I am afraid I cannot review the food or ambiance of this establishment, all I can honestly review is the owners policy. I contacted them in May to ask for an extension for my gift voucher which I hadn't been able to use because of ill health ( I was diagnosed with breast cancer within weeks of my daughter giving me a gift voucher for the coffee shop as a birthday present). I was happy to pay an additional fee to extend as I was really upset I hadn't used the voucher, so my daughter had wasted her hard earned NHS wages. The lady I spoke to (Jo) was very kind but had to ask the owner to make a decision. Unfortunately the owners policy is no extension for any reason, short sighted in my opinion as a little kindness and understanding would not only have earnt her an excellent review, it would probably have earnt her return custom however now I'm never likely to frequent the premises and she has lost several customers as my friends were horrified when I told them of her decision.I'd advise anyone to think twice before purchasing a gift voucher for this coffee shop.

This is also a third less than previously had when speaking to management Jo she informed me that this is due to people complaining that their portion size was too big and they’d end up taking some home, the preordered savoury & sweet afternoon tea was not received due to their mistake, while services was slow which other customers were also complaining about, it’s a great shame as the staff are lovely and the cafe is a little gem.

Delicious homemade cakes and coffee with friendly service. Beautiful views from their outside terrace. Well worth making a detour if you are visiting Hastings, Rye or Winchelsea.

My first time to have tea set in Britain. It’s very different from Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s tea set is always served in hotels with high prices. Instead, I find very nice natural view and food here. I definitely love the tea set in Tic Toc more! We two ladies shared one tea set. Very big portion with good price!

On the whole a lovely afternoon tea. Only downside was cheese scones not as good as what I have had there before, too peppery & not cheesy enough. Great ambience

Great customer service, and great cakes and fancy food. However, we came looking for a proper lunch and found the savoury food so-so, very slow to arrive, and also very expensive for what it was.

Look, when they say 'Large' Roast Dinner, they are not messing around. The roast potatoes are amazing, the Yorkshire puddings are heavenly, and the meat is pretty much perfect. A portion so large that it made me, a known glutton, pause and reconsider if I had the space for dessert. Speaking of which, the desserts were worth it. Amaretto and Daim Bar Frozen Mess - a special - beautiful.

We were a party of 39! The service was excellent, the food was delicious and we all had a great time. I would not hesitate to bring my friends here. Did not use the rooms so cannot comment on them....not sure they have any accommodation.

Beautiful old oak-beamed building, polite and efficient service. Tasting menu was very enjoyable and the wine flight was generous, not like some I've had where the servings are minimal! You have to go there just to see the impressive toilets 😁.

Go through the dowdy antique shop frontage into the tiny, almost cramped room behind and prepare for a treat. We three all picked the all day breakfast; proper bacon, real butcher's sausages and all the trimmings. At around £6, with coffee refills, we couldn't have been happier!
