Prices went up but that's okay! They got bills to pay, lovely staff to pay and I've got a stomach waiting for pasties! 🤤💯

as I use a mobility scooter. and outside tables are available i get served by lovely staff .without having to leave my mobility seat .

Mao's Thai take away was a massive treat, but due to conflict between landlord and tenant closed now, a real shame.

We had a wonderful time at the valentines evening. The food was top class and we had excellent service from Amelia. Would recommend and will certainly be back.

Absolutely wonderful food and plenty of it. Had the salmon and chicken supreme. I wanted to try the Teriyaki; however due to pending permanent closure it wasn’t available. Lovely friendly waitress, great service! It is such a huge shame the council is closing this restaurant as it is one of the few upmarket restaurants in the area. I only found out about it after reading a press release regarding the closure. Perhaps with more publicity the restaurant would have had more success and stayed open.

Stayed here for New Years Eve 2024. We chose the pub / hotel for its remote location and lack of fireworks (we have dogs and one is traumatised by loud noises) - from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. A quintessential English pub with wonderful, nicely designed and spacious rooms and very comfy beds (we had Beech and Birch). The owners and locals were very friendly and inclusive, taking care to make us feel welcome. We felt very well looked after. Breakfast was delicious (full English) and served with locally made tea and coffee (Miles, made in Porlock) and unlimited juice. We are happy that this place is only 50 mins from where we live because we will definitely be back for lunch and will find an excuse to stay again soon, I’m sure… highly recommend. Went today after seeing post on Facebook, we didn't book and the staff set a table up for us, got 2 course Sunday roast and daughter got the Yorkie wrap. Plenty of food, great price, brilliant staff.
