I have been here quite A few times now and I have always enjoyed the laid back vibe to this place. This was my first visit since this place had a refurb and I was more than impressed. It's got a light and airy look to it now, eclectic decor and furnishings including cool looking records suspended from the ceiling, there's also a record store been added and the music played here is really good ,it's just one really good chill out bar. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday afternoon and this place was just starting to get busy with a cracking atmosphere, after a quick study of the beers on offer I opted to have Dortmunder Pils while my brother went for Portland Craft Beer Co and both these beers were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar. These are the type of bars that bring me into Liverpool city centre week after week ,this bar is fun and serve a great beers by staff who are genuinely pleased to see you in their bar, what more could you ask for. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time . 81 Renshaw is really easy to locate on Renshaw Street. Opening hours are ; Monday,Closed. Tuesday to Sunday,Midday till 11pm. A great bar and one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.

First visit and received a warm welcome. Plenty of options on the menu Hubby had bacon toastie and good coffee. I had vegetarian option poached eggs on tomato and spinach. Lovely relaxed vibe and excellent mix of tunes Followed this with a visit to the Record Shop downstairs. Warning it can seriously damage your bank balance apart from that the only downside was having to listen to a cliff richard track from the bargain basket.

Been coming to this place off and on since it opened. Has recently had a refurb and rebrand including an added record store. Breakfast is tasty and prepared well. Beans are in a little pot. Music is really good if you like the old school. While having breakfast have heard the clash, beach boys, Beatles, isleys, kinks, drifters, the perfect soundtrack. The staff are not averse to a little sing song either. But with such great tunes. Why not?

Saved our friend's 40th after being let down by another venue. Place was perfect, and were able to play country music and decorate the place with our life-sized Elvis. Kay was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. She makes a great gin... Then we went into the back to watch the Lindyhop dancing. Great night, and couldn't have gone any better. Our mate was made up. Great gig venue too

Went back here for the first time in a while. The place has still maintained its warm charm :) New owners (but kept the same staff so food is still the same). Large veggie breakfast with spinach still bangin - dead filling there lids! Veggie black pudding super nice, spinach done perfectly. My friends daughter wanted a hot chocholate with marshmallows and they done a fab one for her - big smiles for that (Thanks guys). Still the place to goto in the area for a great veggie breakfast, (they do have a vegan option too but I havent tried that yet). The only thing different with the owner/management is you don’t get the french jazz station anymore - (tune selection is still decent though). Plus there a record shop downstair now - bonus. Oh yeah and they are in the middle of doing up an event space at the back too which looked pretty cool. Great service. Top marks all around x

Perfect if you find yourself leaving the hotel at the last minute - lots of places stop serving breakfast at 12. 81 Renshaw do a fantastic vegan breakfast, as well as veggie food and regular food. Absolutely loved it. Was starving but only opted for the regular size breakfast and it was very substantial - but they offer a large option as well with 2 of everything! One day.... There's a record store downstairs which we went to explore and happened across a girl performing down there - perfect timing. Was really placed about the whole experience! Thank you!

Always walked by here and finally popped in for an awesome breakfast! We got the small full English and veggie breakfast. These were hearty portions and the veggie in particular was one of the best I've had. Never got halloumi before, the veggie sausage and pudding was lovely :) nice chilled vibe and lovely staff. Breakfast didn't take too long to make considering the detail that went into it :) can't wait to go back again :)

Wasn't impressed at all to be honest. One vegan breakfast and a Veggie breakfast between the two of us seemed that different things got cooked at all different times & then just ended up being left a little longer for us to receive a hot meal!! Had a few drinks the night before so we was really hungry and just ate it. Looked forward to the homemade vegan black pud but that was actually quite vile. Sorry no the place needs a lot more work to do before it could catch up with other places.

This was the first time I had visited 81 Renshaw. I chatted to the lady who ran the cafe, the barrista and the owner. I believe that it has recently changed hands. The omelette was really good as was the cappucino and I also treated to myself to a lunchtime beer of Wainwright ale as it was the first days of the Christmas. The thing about 81 is its plans, to be continue to be a cafe and a venue but also a vinyl record shop. Chatting to the owner the building has lots of Mersey beat and Beatles connections. I hope to catch a gig at 81 Renshaw and explore the vinyl which will for me bring back memories of leafing through records in the 1970s and early 80s in Probe records.

Been meaning to visit here for ages, mainly due to the fact they offer good vegan options. Liverpool is leading the way at the moment for vegan diners and we always make a point of trying new places we find. This one has been on the list for ages. We specifically visited for breakfast as we'd heard good things. It's a quirky place, it's got a lovely ambience and makes you feel instantly comfortable. It's the type of place you can visit with a huge hangover and looking like you have been dragged through a hedge and feel totally at ease. It's laid back and friendly another big plus. I really wanted to be wowed by the breakfast and food in general because I like the place so much. In all honesty it wasn't great, food quality was good but the veggie puddings were flavourless and such a shame because their vibrant beetroot colour looked amazing. They needed seasoning properly and were very dry. Food was served barely lukewarm, I know it's difficult with timings etc but I'd much rather our food was served once it's ready even if it means our food comes out at different times. It was as though one breakfast was made and left while the other one was cooked (one was a veggie breakfast and the other vegan).

Came here for a hangover cure to try out the breakfasts. We ordered a range of vegan, vegetarian, and meat breakfasts and we all thoroughly enjoyed them. The portions were perfect and the waitress was happy to cater to the fussy eaters in our party (i.e. replace beans with extra mushrooms). Would definitely recommend for a relaxed breakfast or brunch, and I have to say the veggie sausage was one of the best I've tried.

When I arrived in Liverpool I found myself at 81 Renshaw right away. It was inviting, cozy and just what I needed after a long journey from Canada. The breakfast is the best I've ever had and the coffee is beyond amazing. When they heard I was from out of town, they were more than helpful to tell me places to visit in town and suggest things to try on their menu (black pudding - I was skeptical at first but it was delicious). Every time I come into this cafe the price for the same order is always different. The women who runs it seems to just charge you what she decides on the day. It’s overpriced and the food isn’t all that. On one occasion there was actually a hair in my tuna sandwich which she tried to justify saying it was a fluff fibre?? When I insisted it was a hair (because it was) the women then turned rude towards me. I didn’t have time to wait for another sandwich and requested my money back to which she threw it on the counter and sighed at me!! :/ nothing like good customer service Ay.. all in all I no longer work in the area and thankfully i will not be visiting here again :)

Absolutely made up with this place with its beautiful fairy lights and some of the the best food me and my wife have had this year, I booked it for our wedding anniversary and it made my wife's day. I couldn't give a 5 star review as one of the sandwiches was stale. I didn't say anything at the time to any staff or my wife as I didn't want to embarrass myself but the next day I asked my wife if she thought the bread on the sandwiches was stale and she said yeah she noticed it was hard but apart from that Absolutely flawless.
