Good atmosphere and centrally located to access some decent pubs and bars

Top notch PA great for karaoke 😀 doesnt serve food

Went on a Friday night, Fun pub, karaoke was on, everyone was enjoying themselves, atmosphere was great, good size beer garden, prices seemed very good

This place is a pub, no food was served. Boss little pub in the middle of town

It was very quiet. Maybe because we were in there early on a Sunday afternoon, but there was only about 5 people in, so we moved on after 1 drink. Good points are the staff are lovely and they show the football

20 minutes of being ignored at the bar. Was excessive

Amazing place, staff and atmosphere

1st time in Liverpool, visited this bar because it is mentioned in one of my favourite songs- The Ballad of North John Street by Ian prowse. I can't rate this place highly enough!! I've been to over 30 countries, I know a good pub when I see one!! Special shout out to Trish the barmaid, who genuinely put Liverpool in a special place in my heart. Think, genuine folk, old style bar, great prices for a city centre pub. I'll be back soon!!

An old fashioned pub with a great atmosphere, love the outside seating as well.

Weekday visit. Decent pub and beer. Cheaper than everywhere else around it. Shows the horse racing and isn't to busy in the week

I stumbled upon this pub by accident, it is an old time establishment. On a very warm day it was lovely and cool and the beers were great. It has a secluded outdoor space. It brought back some lovely memories.

Best pub in Liverpool , when we vist we always end up in here , it's my happy place . Great drinks, fabulous staff. Great time is guaranteed

A good pub in Liverpool City centre and not far to walk from Liverpool James Street train station and cheap for drink as well one of the cheapest pubs in the city centre

Just up a side street from North John Street and Beatle’s throw from Matthew Street this is the only remaining authentic Scouse pub left in town. The Guinness is the cheapest and the best too. The staff and the customers are true “salt of the Earth” Scousers and this is one of the few places left where you can taste the true Liverpool culture. You had better go quick though because it may go soon.. And as well as the usual stuff there is “warm Guiness”

I would definitely have given it 5 stars if they did real ale too.. Loved the place really,so much character and got chatting to a really nice barmaid who told me there used to be a disco in the cellar. The 3 bloke's I was chatting to as well told me the same, very interesting pub.. I had 2 nice pints of Guinness.

Good pub, especially if you like the horse racing and football. Very lively and friendly atmosphere.

Went Saturday afternoon which wasn't too busy but had a nice friendly chat with some of the people in there decent beer as well. Will be going again soon

Hi to be honest it was a bit too full for me at the moment with this covid thing still going on. But have been going there for years and have always had a good evening there. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good.

Decent music ... but no social distancing and the table service was terrible .. quite a few times had to ask to b served as the staff wasn't bothering to come over..

Good starting place from work on a Friday, by the business area & happy hour until 6pm. Has a great range of drinks and is also good for the sports lovers, having lots of TV's and the facility for different sports channels at the same time. In the warmer weather, there's the courtyard outside to enjoy, which also has a TV. Recommended

Been going to the Croc & baby Croc since I was a young lad. You can't go wrong. No tourist's, just local boy's & girl's. Staff always top notch. Never been? Why not? Karaoke a great laugh at the weekend!👍

Historic, you-get-what-you're-given city centre pub, and don't answer back. Lots of stuff to look at on the walls. Feels like you are on the deck of a ship. Worth an afternoon 'punt'.
