The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Wales

We were in Caernarfon for five days and every day we just kept coming back to this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the food. It was a nice light lunch with coffee, a roll, quiche, or panini with small salad and shared treat. It is also away from crowds which was relaxing. I bought something in the gift shop behind as well. There are no toilets but public ones nearby.

Lovely afternoon tea with friends. Great food , good service and lovely view of the river. Perfect! Can recommend both the sweet and the savoury choice of afternoon tea.

Been here many times, everything is good value except for one thing the sausages are awful, just our own personal opinion.

We visited twice. The first visit we waited over an hour for food to be told the chef had gone home and there was not food available. We should of seen this as a warning sign. We then visited again my lasagne was awful no pasta, very small and was cremated at the edges. The pie was like water pepper and meat. Then my brother in law was served ribs stone cold , no apology and was told they would reheat the meat, we had to ask for a refund. No one came back to apologise and ask if our food was okay too. 40 minutes after we ate, the table had still not been cleared. We will never eat here again.

So where do I start , myself and my partner had a room booked in ocean breeze on the outskirts of port Eynon , the manager Cai (think that’s his name ) was very helpful he asked if we wanted to book a meal in the sister restaurant in the village , so we took his offer of going for a meal ,I’m a very fussy eater (x chef) so I like good food and appreciate good atmosphere, when we arrived we was welcomed by Cai again not realising he’s the manager there also he was so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble at all for him , by the end of the evening we felt like we were locals there and the staff and manager was so friendly toeatds us it made our evening so lovely , we the fish and chips as we were by the sea and it did not disappoint in any way absolutely mouth watering , will 100% return to both ocean breeze and the smugglers beach bar and restaurant .

I ordered a panini, having enjoyed one on a previous occasion. When it arrived, it was a wrap which had been toasted. It was very hard and impossible to eat. Had I been told that a "panini" wasn't actually a panini, I would have ordered something else. Disappointed as I have been here many times and always enjoyed my meal.

Staying at the hotel next door for a wedding but popped in the mackworth arms for drinks however food smelt so good decided to have a meal first. It didn’t disappoint! Pub is so very cosy and welcoming. All the staff were so accommodating when we hadn’t booked but they fitted us in. Food was clearly homemade and delicious! We will be back soon to sample more.

Haerd the drinks where reasonable not the case charged £9.70 for a paint and half of cider. They may be trying to rip us off.

The food is amazing, one of the best takeaway / cafe’s in Pontypridd,. We’ve had a selection of food including fish / chips, sausage / curry, haven’t been let down. This evening we had some chips which were really tasty Such friendly owners, thank you !!!!

Stopped on the way to the coast for breakfast. Staff very friendly and attentive, but the breakfast was poor quality and value for money. Always expect to pay a little more in similar locations, but disappointed with the quality of the food. Deep fried bacon, low quality sausages and watery mushrooms. Plenty on the plate, including the grease. Can’t even say the pot of tea was OK, seeped for the duration of the meal and still came out like dishwater. Sorry folks, but won’t be back for a second sitting.

Delicious food and friendly service. The take away breakfast sandwiches were so delicious we went back a second time!

Top barman. Unbelievable service Anthony a top fella I’m a member at the gym and it’s always great to see Anthony when having a pint in the hotel. Hope everyone who comes in here gets the pleasure of being served by Anthony he’s a top top bloke. Absolute class

Excellent on all counts, The diner is clean and bright. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. A very wide and varied menu, food is freshly cooked and very tasty. Prices are very reasonable and competitive with other local establishments. There is a warm welcome for well behaved dogs. Since we were told about the Red Door, we make sure we have at least two visits each week.
