The ambiance at this establishment is fantastic, but unfortunately, the beer selection leaves something to be desired. My husband, like many others, enjoys craft ales, which seem to be gaining popularity. However, the craft ale available here wasn't very enjoyable. Perhaps offering a selection like the one at Sandy Mount House, such as Neck Oil, would be more fitting. Improving the beer options would make this place even better. Nonetheless, the staff is friendly, and overall, it's a great place.

We have been for lunch many times when visiting the Area. Lunch on a Wed was super busy ! You order drinks in wills bar and a small menu of dishes outside at pats shack where you order and receive a buzzer when food is ready to take back in to bar. Not being super hungry we ordered the " Bully boy" loaded fries. Hmmm...£10? Rather overpriced? Food arrived quickly ...a dish of skinny fries with around 30g of pulled brisket and mayo/bbq sauce/jalepeno topping. It was nice but really not worth the price. This is Rhosneigr and you pay a premium for the truly gorgeous access to the sea etc so that's where it is worth the cost!! Pizzas looked good and probably at £13 a better value. Not gonna stop me coming again but it is not good value for what you get.

Welcomed with a really friendly smile, explained in full about the food on offer, specials and drinks. We waited outside at the seating area around 5/10 minutes for a table inside to become free. We ordered a pizza and I went for one of the specials, cod with cheesy topping. Food arrived quickly and in these take out boxes which I think was a really good idea. The food was lovely, I really enjoyed the cod and the pizza as we ended up sharing. Overall I thought it was a very quirky place, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, extremely chilled and I’d definitely recommend and return.

We visited end July / early August several times during our stay. We have been coming to Rhossy for years and were so happy the Timpsons have taken this back and re-opened. We usually go to Wills bar and it’s great for people of all ages. Food was great special mention for Tracey the Chef who always delivered and if for any reason she couldn’t would personally come and chat with us and offer alternative options. Her salt and pepper fries are fabulous would highly recommend! Neve, Issy and James are great people who made each visit pleasurable. Great job team!

Spent a few hours here expecting to relax and unwind. Not easy due to seating no being designed for prolonged sitting.Perhaps it was the wrong day but virtually every other customer brought their dogs in that had been in the sea and running through the dunes, this created a wet dog odor that is off putting.Lots of people complaining about waiting a long time for food. Limited staff members, however all were pleasant and doing their best. Fair selection of beers.

We popped in one afternoon we have been several times while walking our dogs , it’s a nice bar but it’s quite expensive compared to the Glan neigr and Morfa but then again it’s a wine bar attached to a restaurant, we have eaten a sandwich there it was nothing special. A lovely place in a prime position. Ample parking for this very busy restaurant. We had a table for 7 in the upstairs restaurant. The staff were very good in organising a lift for myself and my wife - both dissabled. The food was enjoyable but a tad pricey for what it was. The seating was not the most comfortable and the waitress was having a bad day and appologised twice for slow attention. However, the food was good and the menu varied. I ordered a "T" bone steak with pepper sauce It was cooked medium rare just how I like it. The chips were crisp and freshly done the sauce was creamy and very tasty. I gave it a Very Good rating even though it has faults because the food was good. With a little more attention it could have been excellent

Very busy in the cafe section yesterday as dogs not allowed in restaurant. Only 2 staff behind bar and they were run off their feet with little help from management. Approximately 1 hour wait for food, but when it eventually came was delicious. Luckily we had a 25% off voucher (autumn deal until 21st December), so can't feel too aggrieved. Overall, the service could have been far better, but the food somewhat made up for it.

How can they justify those prices is beyond me !!!I'm sure the clientele of wills bar with there 4*4s from Cheshire and beyond can afford that but locals or people on a budget avoid the place ,the y morfa and glan neigr are far cheaper and the glan has a cracking beer garden for kids to run around.

After our fab meal at the Oyster catcher we decided to pop downstairs for a drink. A huge bill board advertised all rugby matches were being shown but the tele wasn't even on. When my partner mentioned the rugby score for a previous match to the barman he said he hadn't seen it, so polite conversation was finished. The barman looked and acted like he would rather have been anywhere but the Will's bar. We didn't even stay to finish our drinks. I'm sure the bar is much better and a different experience on a different day but surely consistency is key. It was only 8pm on a Sunday evening and they don't close till 10.30pm!

We visited two days in a row. The first time was excellent. The lady behind the bar served me a wonderful milky latte - just how it should be, as well as pointing us in the direction of the gluten free cake. We returned the next morning as the start to the day was dull and a bit rainy. This time a young man served my latte way too strong and full of froth (more like a double express cappuccino). The cake may or may not have been gluten free as apparently the labels were not packed away with the with the cake - a bit of a disappointment. The waiter said there was no one that could clarify the GF status until noon.I suggest someone organises a better system for identifying the GF cake as it is very important to those who can not eat gluten to ensure it is gluten free! We will visit again just because our first experience was sooo good.

Wanted to sit outside at the oyster catcher as we had two dogs with us, but was told no, no reason given, just no. So we ventured downstairs to wills bar, where the lady down there served us. The menu isn't great for choice and slightly pricey for what you get, but then the food is only classed as light bites. What annoyed us was that we would have preferred the menu upstairs but were happy to eat down stairs at wills bar, but that wasn't allowed. However when our meals arrived, they arrived from the upstairs kitchen!? The food was nice and well presented. And the service was nice from the lady downstairs. Will's Bar at the Oyster Catcher,Rhosneigr, is well worth a visit, the snack type food on offer is excellent, I can recommend the Caesar Salad with chunky bread, it's delicious. My husband only ever drinks Shipyard Ale whilst he is in the bar, it's his favourite on Anglesey. I think the food is served more or less all day (definitely in the school hols). The staff are young, polite and very family (and dog) friendly! Ideally situated for a walk over the sand dunes onto the spectacular beach. A short walk along the beach takes you into Rhosneigr town, with its gift/beach/surf shops and another part of the beach which is equally stunning and usually busy with young surfers and sailors. We visited this bar a couple of times during our trip to Wales. Its really nice for a coffee/wine/beer and although the décor isn't to our taste it is quirky and different. If I was to complain about anything it would actually be the customers! It is often full of pretentious wannabe yuppies and it can get a bit grating listening to the "Ya for sure" types but there is not much management can do about this. The only complaint we have for management is the blond barmaid who was working on Friday 1st August was phenomenally rude and ignorant to anybody who had the temerity to ask for service.

After a meal at the Oyster Catcher, myself and two friends visited Will's Bar for a post meal drink. It's a quirky bar with corrugated sheets on the roof, partial sand pit and an array of beach inflatables hanging from the ceiling. It's the sort of bar that lends itself to the surfers that frequent the local beach. The fully stocked bar was staffed by girls that were familiar with their stock and offered an alternative flavoured drink as well as the ones requested. There was only one downside to the bar and that was the midges which were everywhere, but that's more to do with the location and time of year rather than the bar itself.

Having been disappointed to find the outside area of the Oyster Catcher closed for the third time in 3 visits, we decided to try the 'dog friendly' Will's Bar'. We had the dogs with us, and, as it was a nice day, sat outside and ordered lunch. Unfortunately, one of the dogs had the audacity to bark twice, and was promptly screamed at to "shut up" by a middle aged man on the balcony with a mobile phone stapled to his head. This was then followed by us having to listen to him shouting " I can't hear you" down the phone. Lunch was disappointing, given that the menu gave the impression of being a cut above standard pub grub, and the prices seemed high in comparison to other, less pretentious restaurants in the area. The staff were friendly enough, but the clientele on the day we visited seemed intent on making anyone resembling a tourist ( which I am) feel uncomfortable. Not sure if this is typical, but it put me off visiting again. Please go if you like to be in the company of yuppies and wannabees draped over chairs and looking at you with contempt, but if you are on holiday and looking for a good lunch in friendlier surroundings, head for the village restaurants and pubs. They, and their customers are genuinely superior!

We visited on Saturday with the my partner's parents. We'd had a long walk on Newborough beach and wanted to grab a late lunch, but it had to be dog friendly. I heard about the Oystercatcher, so we were keen to try it out. It was a lovely sunny day, there were quite a few people sitting outside, we had a lovely welcome, especially the dog! The dog-friendly upstairs part was closed, so we opted for Wil's bar instead. The food was good, reasonably priced, we had three ciabattas and the mussells, all went down good, nothing to fancy, quite simple, but good. The actual bar is quite a quirky, trendy setting, but the parents found the chairs a bit uncomfortable, but they really enjoyed the visit. I wish I was 20 years younger, I'm sure it has an amazing atmostphere in the evening. Can't wait to try the Oystercatcher next!

There's not a lot of choice of entertainment on Anglesey so it's great to visit a place like Wills bar. Real ale (upstairs!) good choice of beers and wines and very imaginatively designed decor. Just a bit weird to be sitting in a alpine ski bar on the beach!!

We called in to Will's Bar after our lovely walk along the beach . A great place to go and our dogs were welcome too. We both had coffees and I had a piece of the gluten free Victoria cake , it was so light and scrummy and my friend had a slice of the coffee and walnut cake which was also delicious . We will definitely be calling again for some more sweet offerings . Thank you to the lady who served us who gave our dogs water and some dog biscuits , a lovely idea .

What a great place! Will's bar has a stylish upmarket feel to it - and is a great place to be and be seen. Really quite unique and a really welcome addition / alternative to Anglesey's night life scene and the place seems popular and welcoming to a good cross section of age groups. Would have given you 5 stars, but I'm afraid you've made a mistake by getting rid of a premium lager on draught. Will's Lager is pretty dire, sorry. Does get a little expensive if only option is to go on bottles all night.

We visited Will's Bar one very, very misty lunchtime last September - it was only opened this past summer. This bar is on the ground floor, with the Oyster Catcher restaurant upstairs. I think I'm right in saying that 'Will's Bar' was so-called because Prince William was, until fairly recently, literally just up the road at RAF Valley. From the road, it all looked a bit posh for us :-) but we needn't have worried - Will's Bar wasn't like that and it ALL looked very good. People going to the restaurant were casually dressed so I don't think it was too posh at all. The whole building is very modern/unusual and eye-catching. We enjoyed a great bowl of soup. The lady serving was very friendly and explained that the upper storey was level with the top of the adjacent sand dune and had a great view of the coast/sea. However, it was so very misty that there was no point in going to have a look - especially as we weren't looking for a 'sit-down' lunch. The unique thing about the bar, when we visited, was that it had a summer sea-side theme and most of the floor was sand!! There was only one small area of seating that was securely fixed and that was 'taken' so it was a bit of a challenge to sit on the stools that wobbled about on the sand. So it was rather a unique experience for us :-) The lady said that the following week it was having a ski-theme make-over - but I doubt if the bar would have gone for snow instead of sand (LOL) so we think the ski-theme would have suited us (as the non-young) better. It wasn't until I looked online at the restaurant's website, that I discovered the admirable ethos behind the place - it is owned by the Timpson Foundation and is run as a chef academy, giving young people a new start in life. The Executive Chef and his team juggle the running of a busy kitchen with teaching and inspiring the chef-cadets. You learn something every day ....

I'd been here once as a beach bar, wasn't too keen, but i came for the opening of the transformation into a ski lodge...loved it! Had a fabulous night (bar the pricey drinks) it's what you make of it and we made a good night of it! Love the ski lift chairs :) will be back soon

After being in one of the quiet village pubs on Friday, with a total of two customers, and three staff we were told to try here for a drink. It is very quirky, but as I`m an older person and not into the surf scene on a Saturday night, then it was not the place for me. Seating was very uncomfortable , and the sand on the floor was quite a problem to walk through. also sand on wooden decking was quite slippy . On the beach with flip flops - fine, but Friday night heels, oh dear ! Music was not to my taste and only two choices of draught beer was poor, Lager or lemon flavoured pale ale , yuk, rather expensive at £3.50 a pint.Such a great shame, as it does only seem to want to cater for the younger class, who were downing shots at a great pace, but with all the available space in the building perhaps another bar more suitable for the older customers would be a good idea. The Oystercatcher is really more of a restaurant , but there should be provision for people who would just like a drink in nice surroundings. The beach huts on the verandah are great .

Has turned the popular Oystercatcher into a cheap nightclub, out of place and not in keeping with the ethos of the main restaurant

Didn't actually try the food, we popped in to say thanks and to buy a drink for the said 'Will' having rescued us after running out of petrol half a mile from home. Will was charm itself even giving us some of his ice for home.Bar had a great buzz about it. I note lots of people mention the sand on the floor, we like it .... what do you expect when half the crowd are surf mad nuts who are in the water all year round.Intended to stay for only one drink after a meal upstairs at the Oyster Catcher but stayed rather longer as was evident with our hangovers the next day! Thanks again Will the bar is definitely the only spot to be seen at in Rhosneigr.

What a cracking addition to the Rhosneigr scene. The venue is fantastic, with sand covering parts of the floor and wooden decking covering the rest. The furniture is very unique! Most of it is actually height adjustable. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming. They make a great cocktail too. I had the watermelon something or other, which was sublime. I have heard rumours that it is going to be turned into a ski chalet through the winter. Here is one excited regular!!!!

We had an excellent lunch of crab salad at Will's Bar. However the seating was uncomfortable - stools and the sand floor didn't help as it was uneven. The general setting was good but let down by the seating and floor.

well this is different for rhosneigr....maybe this is the sign of things to come, the bar is something you would possibly find in newquay cornwall or a trendy hotspot in the caribean ,the sand on the floor is cool and the cocktails are fab .....very strong, when its busy the cocktails are not as niceand they tend to run out of the essential ingredients needed for the cocktails, maybe they should have a couple of dedicated staff just making cocktails and some staff just on the till, more seating outside would help and maybe the back garden which has no seating at all could have some trendy sofas put there. Its a very busy bar but the vibe is fab and everyone there is out for a good time and to chill, but on the downside whilst i was waiting by the bar the other day I did here one of the bar staff call one of the customers under his breath a not very nice name ,i think the customer asked for his pint to be topped up,customer service skills could be improved in that area and i found it very unproffesional on that staff members part.At the end of the day its a cracking place .

The fact that Rhosneigr has been a social hub for locals and holiday makers alike for generations now it has always been perplexing that best offering for a waterhole was a poorly decorated, vibe-less shell of a building with beer pipes dirtier than an Istanbul Brothel. (Mentioning no names)Alas, no more! Will´s Bar provides the perfect balance of the outdoors brought indoors with it´s quirky, sand-covered floors soaking up the rogue Tequila shots that fall out of the Babe´s belly button you´re slamming it out of! Couple that with up beat music ad a setting that you would find difficult to better! In all the times I have been (countless) I am yet to see any conflict or aggressive behaviour, which must pay tribute to the relaxed atmosphere they have so expertly crafted. Congrats to Will and team for putting Rhosneigr back on the map! See you tonight. x

As a local it made a refreshing change with its beach bar style plus leather couches! Nice relaxing atmosphere, went mid week for couple of hours so not heaving, just pleasantly busy without being packed as its only a small space. Large glass of wine over £7 a glass though, they did have a good offer on for Sol, bucket of five bottles £10, Cocktails around £6, as a wine drinker a night out might get a bit pricey! Would definitely go back, again avoiding peak times.

I thought the Sandymount was the place to be, but this place is heaving, I don't get it! They have sand on the floor, what's the point of that? They do however have very attractive male bar staff, maybe this is what beings in the truck load of babes that arrive on a regular basis. I still prefer the Sandymount though, it's way darker, no music, and a quiet atmosphere. Oh and the beer makes me ill, wicked! I won't be coming back, I hate slamming babes and tequila simultaneously whilst having fun with mates.Kisses Larry,

This was an added cruise port on a Sunday and pretty much everything was closed. We stumbled upon The Gleesons Public House and had a few pints and sang some karaoke. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. They made the day!
