Tenby Rugby Club in Pembrokeshire

On a Visit to Tenby to see Martin Kemp, we found this little jem of a pub. Such a warm friendly welcome with great staff. Thankyou to Kasey, you're awesome!! We will be back very soon. Xxx

Great casual rugby club,relaxed atmosphere. Rated average due to our drinks being served in dirty glasses caked in lipstick ( partner dosent wear lipstick)! Toilets lack hand drying facilities ( need paper towell dispenser). Dryer is rubbish and has mould spores.

Great service, traditional rugby club vibe. Best drinks prices in the area. Outside seating great for people watching. Busy with a nice atmosphere 👌

I was looking for somewhere for a quick breakfast and saw it was advertised at the rugby club. Didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! Lovely crusty roll with bacon, egg and cheese and cheap for Tenby aswell. The service was quick and the lady serving me was extremely helpful and chatty. Will be back again for breakfast!!

Went in to the club for a few beers with friends at the start of may on a Saturday evening! Only to be served by a miserable women who looked like botched tv show she was so rude and ignoring me for at least 15 mins before putting her phone down to serve me! The other staff were pleasant compared to her! Have been coming to the office rugby club for years but hopefully better service next time as I have always recommended the pub

Absolutely shocking! Staff were too busy on phones or making dance videos of themselves to serve customers!! 4 youngish staff all female, didn't take any notice of customers waiting to be served! Completely ignored by them apart from a large female staff who looked straight at me and proceeded to play on her phone, eventually got served by a lovely older female staff who was obviously run of her feet, will not come again as place is a total dump and ignorant staff who obviously value their phone more than customer service!!!

This club boasts a large room with large screens, which was full to capacity on the day I visited, to enable about 100 people to watch a football match. The walls are adorned with historic photos of the beloved rugby teams who have represented this proud rugby club. It’s a nice touch and one can only reminisce what great nights have been held in this club which sits in the cobbled streets of this beautiful seaside town. The drinks were reasonable. It was dog friendly. Loads of people of all ages and footballing persuasions sat side by side in an excellent atmosphere for the discerning football fan. Good venue for sport

Like a morgue with lights. Charmless staff, overpriced. Had the misfortune to wander into this wasteland and unfortunately didn't walk straight back out.

Few of us visited the club during our visit to Tenby. The general feeling about the club is that is is well cared for and well organised. Certainly a cut above what is expected from a “small” club. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The facilities were better than many so called Senior clubs we have visited. Choice of drinks was very impressive. Will certainly visit again when in Tenby

Not where or what you would expect from a rugby club. Clean and tidy, very reasonably priced and right in the heart of the old town. Everyone welcome, the sign says, and I believe them.

We always make a point of calling in for a couple of drinks when in Tenby - the atmosphere is welcoming, the drinks reasonably priced and staff helpful and friendly. Recommended.

Always go into Tenby rugby when in Tenby. Families welcome in main lounge also, always able to find a table inside or outside. Well worth a visit particularly when the others pubs are packed.

On arrival at the club, my sister and I were amazed to find a beautiful large room, with every table set with daffodils. The room was soon full due to an international rugby match. Excellent large screen and televisions. The bar staff were first class, welcoming, efficient, nothing too much trouble. Fresh rolls etc were on sale, toilets cleaned half time, a really well run club. I cannot praise the staff and their organisation of such a large number of people highly enough. Excellent choice of beverages and mixers.

We popped into here for a drink. Welcomed by a member of staff. Open to non members, which was great. Cheap and cheerful

Called here some time back. It is a very basic rugby club, but the atmosphere is really good. A lot of locals visit here, so combined with the visitors, it can be quite entertaining.

Got took into club by a family member who knew the place, it is typically reflects a club in that it is very cheap, very friendly quite loud and no frills. The toilets need a revamp very small.

Called in quite a few times while staying in Tenby, traditional type social club, friendly atmosphere, brilliant staff and lovely locally sourced breakfast rolls ! Big selection of drinks and reasonably priced.

Absolutely terrible visit. Came there to see a friend and got spoke to like absolute dirt by your member of staff Dean. To be honest he's lucky it didn't escalate into fight they way he spoke. WELL DONE DEAN stay from the place

Very friendly place! If you sit outside, go inside to just look around. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed a pint or two in the sun there.

Lovely baps for £2.50 and lovely coffee for £2.85. Bacon nicely cooked too. Will be back. They also do take aways and other breakfast/food options

Stopped here for a drink albeit non alcoholic. The service was really prompt and really friendly. Was really happy to see they had chairs with backs not just benches. This is important to me as I have back problems and we had to walk past several places as they only had benches

What a Gem of a find, After an appalling attempt at a drink 50 yards up the road, entered this lovely clean establishment, to a smile and request to track and trace which we obviously adhered to, Clean tables, service with a smile and plenty of room to social distance. Would highly recommend a visit for a friendly social drink and a fresh sandwich should you require.

If your visiting Tenby and fancy a drink and like me just sitting and people watching for a few hours than this is your place great staff and a large selection of beers wines and coffees to boot what more does a visitor to lovely Tenby need .

Staying in tenby over Christmas, not much open Christmas Day , but the rugby club was open, will say never would have considered going in as we are oap and always seemed a bit loud for us, however a warm welcome was waiting, the man who gave up his special day to serve us was great, there was a family of 3 with 4 rescue well behaved dogs, a very interesting couple from Cambridge (who were Canadian) and a few locals there, hats off to you tenby rugby club we will definitely be using you as our local . Popped in for a drink, given a warm welcome and sat in the outside area. Just remember it’s a rugby club so don’t expect luxury. Really friendly bar staff. Toilets could of been a bit cleaner that’s my only criticism

We went to watch the rugby one afternoon and it was warm, welcoming and friendly. The loos are clean and tidy - the staff efficient and smiling and they even gave away free food when the Tenby rugby boys got back from their away match.Better than that - we watched on the plentiful TV's as our team won.

Hardly a rugby club anymore...whatever happened to this club. Noisy, rude people smoking right out on the beer garden on the road. Badly run and a real shame as it used to be a well run local club.

When ever we go to Tenby we always visit this club the staff are nice the place is clean and always a friendly group of customers in there.

Attended the Rugby club for my friends 40th birthday and was surprised to find a Gin menu, and a very good one at that with very reasonable prices.

The place was bustling with Welsh supporters and the atmosphere was amazing. A group of us had been there for all three matches and were having a great time.

Called here for a couple of drinks and did not expect them to be more expensive than surrounding pubs

Good food and beer at a reasonable price. Rugby photos and mementos on the walls. Some nights are very busy, others almost empty, dependant on rugby fixtures. Very friendly people who love their rugby.

The rugby club is an awesome place to have a drink and a laugh. The locals are very friendly and we could join in with the banter easily. There is no parking but not far from multi storey car park. There are tables out front but there is nowhere undercover for smokers. There is a cashpoint machine right opposite. They were also advertising a disco later. I did observe a gentleman in a wheelchair having some difficulty getting around the tables to go in different bar, but alot of people helped. Would definitely go back.

This is a very good place to get a pint of beer at a very reasonable price. It is a rugby club house so I will say no more about its atmosphere

Went with friend on New Year`s day to watch rugby on big screen Cardiff Blues.Had a lovely time.Then saw Ospreys after that match...really overdosed on rugby that day!

went to see a local blues rock band. the rugby club has good accesss for families with pushchairs and also goodfor people who are disabled. a friendly atmosphere on a saturday night is always a good thing. the only down side was the lack of staff behind the bar. hopefully this will be sorted soon.

I am lucky to live near Tenby and have been visiting this beautiful old harbour town for many years! Must have walked past this club more times than I can remember and never noticed it! WOW! My mistake!Parking out side is impossible because it is an old harbour town and the streets are very narrow, but situated in the heart of the town it is easy to walk to.Large bar with loads of comfortable tables and chairs, three T.V.'s and a huge amount of historical photographs covering the wall's. It's worth a visit just to see the photo's of the past players of this old club. Great pair of ladies behind the bar and far cheaper drinks than any nearby pub. Service with a smile and a laugh. We attended a private function here with no food.But were told to go and buy some fish & chips from the chippy opposite and as long as we cleared our own wrappings, no problem.So if your on holiday or a local, with or without an interest in rugby! It is well worth a visit and I would think to watch any big Welsh rugby match here would be very emotional indeed. Highly recommended. Kids welcome and as I remember pretty easy wheel chair access.

Amazing bar staff - we were in and out all weekend for the scooter rally and team behind the bar were fab.

Looks a bit rough but OMG the sandwich and scones are just the best! They warm the bread in the oven and it makes a difference!.

Warm welcome both nights visited. Watched rugby and had large order of drinks, staff requested a list so they knew our order each time. Did not do food but allowed food to be taken in as long as cleaned up and threw rubbish away. The Boss was really friendly and helpful.

Decided to watch the Big Game of the Rugby World Cup in this Welsh Stronghold, made most welcome even though we were secretly hoping that England might win ..... We were English.... The locals sang to the Welsh national anthem, and the passion was extreme however never intimidating.... At £1 to get in it was excellent with 3 TVs so you were able to view the game, the £1 entrance fee gave you the chance of a raffle to win some half time beers.The place was full and the atmosphere electric, however the staff were excellent serving everyone in turn.I'd recommend anyone to watch a game of Rugby with the locals and at this venue.If your of a nervous position I might advice against the England shirt? However if your a good sport, love Rugby this has got to be the best place to watch a England Wales game.It had a great mix of all ages.Well done Tenby Rugby club .... A great night....

We called in for a drink on a visit to Tenby recently. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, as with most rugby clubs the people were all friendly with a good atmosphere. There was a good selection of beer and the bar prices were the cheapest we found in the town.

had a brilliant afternoon at the club watching the recent WALES v Ireland match, the atmosphere was amazing you need to get there early. If you want a seat because it's a very popular place and gets packed! Although the club as packed the bar staff did an amazing job so you really didn't have to wait long to be served which is important on match days. If your in Tenby on a match day there is only one place to watch it Tenby rugby club. Awesome!!!!

My wife and I had a great afternoon here to watch Wales beat France! The place was absolutely rocking and everyone had a great afternoon. The one thing I would recommend for other match days, would be to remove the bar stools from around the bar. People sat at the bar certainly stopped people getting served quickly, and due to the size of the crowd, this certainly caused serving problems! Other than that, it was a great afternoon out!

Went here last Sunday to watch the Wales/Scotland game! Hit very busy but plenty of staff serving by the bar! Had a Scots man there who had his bagpipes who played a few tunes, a nice touch!

For the Wales vs. S Africa game the Club was packed with a great atmosphere. Bar service is speedy and friendly and there's good real ales. "Behavior" was also special - the whole bar stood for the minute's silence; shh'd when kicks were taken & stood for the anthems. Just great.

We traveled up from Cardiff as was told we could watch some bands playing and pay on the door but when we got here was turned away saying ticket only so wasn't happy so would never go here again.

Slap bang in the middle of town and you walk into a Welsh rugby club! Outside seating area is good for people watching too!

The new Landlady has transformed the failing club but still needs support from the Rugby team, locals and visitors

sat outside as it was a glorious sunny day and all the pubs in Tenby seemed to be full in the garden area and we walked passed here and it was a lovely sunny spot and non residents were welcome, so we sat here for a couple of hours drinking pints of nice chilled cider talking to other people who were doing the same.

Music was great, bar staff quick and efficient but doorman had bit of an attitude problem.Dancefloor was a bit sticky

We went here to watch some footie and the one barman who served us was really friendly and a great laugh. We will be back next time we are in Tenby

Visited here to get out of the rain ( I was in Wales lol ). Service was great and quick also with a smile. I was made to feel welcome and will call in on my my next visit.

We spent a couple of evenings here and while it is a Rugby club, thought the jukebox annoying as well as two TV's on as well. Staff were friendly, service was quick and at least we managed to find seats even though Friday night was busy. The ladies loo was clean but the door handle was loose. It could be updated.

We returned a few times as our son loves Rugby. The drinks were certainly cheaper than anywhere else we had been all week and certainly cheaper than our local Rugby club.

not many cheap places to drink I visited tenby with friends only 4 of us and a round of drinks came to £11.80 most pubs round tenby charged nearly £15 for the same round, sadly for us unless the club is busy it closes. :(
